  2. Welcome back wiil waal? Heeeel NO! I am planning to save my earnings and spend his..... thats how it should be right? I don't know how I feel about me earning more... i suppose it's aigt.... but i have a feeling that men prefer to be the breadwinners ... so thats gonna kill their ego a lil ...... just supposing... i stand corrected!
  3. damn that stuff was funny for real...... i wonder how she felt at that moment?? Keep 'em coming nomads ------------------ "Don't let life discourage you;everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was"
  4. hell yeah i would mind......i can't evan stand the thought that my future huby may earn more income than me...since i want to be the bread winner in the house.....lol just kiding but i wonder why would anyone feel uncomfortable or threathening by getting an extra income regardless of who earns it....aren't they sharing their life together does the word in richer and in poor meant anything to them just my opinion ------------------ "Don't let life discourage you;everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was"
  5. i like how you formed your opinion......but i still think most interracial marriages don't work simply because of their different cultural background. it's true that two people should get married based on the love they have for each other but that fades away when they face problems and cannot agree on things cuz of their different background and believes ------------------ "Don't let life discourage you;everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was"
  6. I couldn't put it more into better words that mohammedjama did even though i'm a poet. and Jibril is right when he says that he had a question and should be listened to it, even is its loaded! In the game of life there're men and women and they're intragral to all life. Understanding , learning and patience are the simplest yet most basic units to any union. My people have suffered more than any could comprehend, thats not also to excuse any habits that may hinder their lives to move on for in the future. Jibril there is no need to finget point one gender over another and the're both in this. Its all about communicating. It saddens me sometimes to see my people still arguing about all the "nothings" and talk about nothing of all that is "everything." I can tell you the non somalis or what ever are so much scrowed up , you will never comprehend, try them sometimes. Man they are the most meanest people you can ever imagine. come on! you do an imaginable things to ones one parents and you expect them to be good to you, i'm all thankfull that Allah made me a somali. You can, like take it were you left of anytime and everyone is your uncle and aunt, where do you get that! I have never come across like the somali LOVE and truesality that a companies it. they believe so much of and trust all that sometimes it shocks, someone girl like me. It might cause me to flee, but not becouse i don't want it but coz its too good to be true. then if u only have to understand that its true to rely on it. The world has emptied of trust and girls are vonulrable than you can emagine, so there is no harm in one protecting self. All we have to do is listen to what the other is not saying. the silence. I hope to Allah that the beauty of my culture and its people with resume someday. Till then. With Luv. IDIIL.

  11. Why is this an issue? I mean U chose to post this...why? So u can just make fun of other races and discourage other somalis from marrying Orientals? I believe it is upto the individual to choose who they want to marry. Children of mixed races always looked beautiful to me anyway. Be peace.
  12. W'sup Somalizz... Ok, Hibo, ama stick to the topic and try not to side track from it. My peeve about some Somalis I've dealt with in the past are: 1) Somali taxi drivers that ask your 411, when all you've asked them was to drive you from point A to B. 2) A Somali female walks in to a Somali restaurant, and she's made to feel like she doesnt' belong there....not that she was going to sit there and eat at that Qaat smelling joint...ever heard of a pick up?? 3) A muslimah chooses to wear a "hijaab" and the "other" religious females in the community choose to wear theirs in a different way ( the long cloth that sweeps the floor), yet they judge her cuz they think she's not wearing it the proper way. I can't think of any right now. And again, this is not to generalize the Somali community, they are mostly from my own experiences. Peace n' Luv.
  13. I would love to see that, it is just more income for us so why get mad or unconfortable!
  14. looooooooooooooooooool hahahahaha...that was funny One day a woman came upto him and said Mr> President, you are a fool! and he replied. Thank you ma'am. The guy has heavy ears lol

  17. Listen girls, Hibo, well, girl we were not born yesterday, remember you said people stare at you so much when you are around them? huh! I've got news for you then baby, no girls will stare at you except if they have other hidden agendas in their minds but what you meant to say indirectly was, men in Somali restaurants stare at me. C'mon we know Somali females dont hang out in cafe's yeah! am i not right? So my comment wasn't meant to stir tension between genders but your topic was indeed intended to serve that purpose, sister. Let me describe how you feel, ah forget it then, laakiin "lax waliba halkey isdhigto ayaa lagu qalaa". To sister isii-sister, Yarey, fiiri bulaacad amba sewarage or sewage as you might call it is not a pleasant thing to describe a brother, OK? it is on one side offending and on other side degrades your own existance too, coz you are the offspring of those Somali males who really smell like BULAACAD. Somalis say " Hal Xaaraan Ah Nirig Xalaal Ah Ma dhasho" you understand? if we stink then you have a share of that. BuuBto, Gabar you sounded like a typical xalimo walahi, the problem is whenever a brother tries to discuss a subject in a different way, you get some sisters mixing it with inter-personal relations. It shows that you've nothing else in your mind but dates, showing off, dirty games, and so forth. Mind you! I am a man and those matters dont worry me so get your acts together please, coz i am never gonna insult you. Mac sallaam [This message has been edited by MrJibriiL (edited 04-07-2002).]

  19. Admin, Dont worry It is understandable for you to loose some data in the process of switching servers and and services. Appologies accepted. It is all about mutual respect and understanding thats brought us here into this website and we should continue to hold the same respect for each other. Thank you for recovering that data God bless
  20. I don't understand why any somali will choose to be a second class to any one...those who chose to be arabs you guys are second classes to them.....we are black africans and that is it.....What the hell is monochrome? some biochemistry element or some...
  21. Our ego says we are not Africans cause somehow our morphologies are a bit different from others. We are a proud race and because we are just that, we cant associate ourselves with the underdeveloped world because we think we are better and perhaps more developed but reality says otherwise and so we still Africans, underdeveloped and our geographical location is known as the Horn of Africa. A lot of the Somalis I have encountered would like to be associated with the Arab race but that too would not hold water and would be unbecoming as we are totally different. What brings us together is the Moslem faith period. Among ancient Egyptians, Somalia was known as the Land of Punt and was renowned for its frankincense and myrrh, which it still exports. Descriptions of the northern inhabitants of the region are found in The Periplus of the Erythrean Sea, an A.D. 60 Greek guide to sailors, and in Ptolemy's Geography, compiled between the 2nd and 5th centuries; contact with Egyptian, Phoenician, Persian, Greek, and Roman traders dates to this time. In the 10th century, Chinese merchants returned home from Somalia with giraffes, leopards, and tortoises for the imperial menagerie. By this time, Arab and Persian merchants had established towns along the coasts of the northern plains and the Indian Ocean. In a nutshell, whatever our desires we belong to the African continent and that makes us Africans and most of all Somalis. ------------------ ("`-''-/").___..--''"`-._ `6_ 6 ) `-. 23. This really tickled me....Everyone is avictim of the Unknown.. please read on. MOGADISHU, SOMALIA (SatireWire.com) — Red Cross officials in Somalia, which in September became the last African nation to go online, appealed for calm today as the country anxiously awaits the Great Internet Bubble, which many fear will wreak havoc on their villages, livestock, and loved ones. "It is said that once you are on this Internet, it is inevitable that the Great Bubble will come for you," bemoaned Issaq tribesman Siad Barre, who stood guard outside his home with a rusted AK-47. "I have heard it appears like a thief in the night and will steal our goats and children." "No no, the Great Bubble is made of sand," said Barre's neighbor, Farah Abgaal. "It rides the wind and will swallow us whole. That gun is no use, Siad. You are a fool." Both Abgaal and Barre dismissed as "Western lies" the Red Cross' explanation that the so-called Internet Bubble is not some kind of animal or phantom, but an economic term to describe a period of intense speculation. Instead, they heed the counsel of clan leaders who warn that the Great Bubble has devoured America and much of Europe, and will soon come for them. In a speech in downtown Mogadishu last night, Gen. Gidir Muhammed warned people to be on the lookout for "mighty portents and omens" that will precede the Bubble's arrival. "First we will behold the Vile Infusion of the Venture Capitalists, who will offer us riches in return for our enslavement," said Muhammed. "Then will come the evil Dotcoms, who will take over our coffee houses and seduce us with jobs of great promise." Muhammed predicted that he alone could stop the Bubble, but only if rival clans rallied around him and killed his enemies. In response to the speech, roving thugs immediately executed 145 businessmen. "They were agents of the Great Bubble," one soldier explained. "It has the fangs of a boar and arrives in a Hummer." Asked if he actually believed that, the soldier became quiet for a moment, then whispered, "Not really. We just talk like this to get on CNN. How'd Intel do today? My E*Trade account is down again." Added Siad Barre, still holding his AK-47: "We will see who is the fool, Farrah Abgaal, when the Bubble makes kishwari with your wife!" ------------------ ("`-''-/").___..--''"`-._ `6_ 6 ) `-.
