The only people who benefit from these killings are the "occupiers". We are not sure these bombings are done by Sunnis and if they are I am sure that the "occupiers" are behind it. I mean if you watch CNN all you hear is the Sunnis killed Shias or the Shias want to take the power etc. Before the Iraq war they used to use only terms like "islamic terrorist" "islamist" etc. Lets ask ourselves why now they are using Sunni or Shia terms. All they want is disunity between muslims and it seems it is working because instead of uniting we are still arguing about our differences. The only way for muslims to reach their lost glory is unity between Sunnis and Shias.

"So eat of that (meat) upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned. If you are believers in His verses. "And why should you not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators (of others with Him). Qur'an (Sura Al An'am : 118-121 I think that only in case of necessity we are allowed to eat what is normally prohibited. Allah knows best.

Shaykh-ul-Islaam ibn Taymiyyah: “Whoever deviates from the Madhhab and Tafseer of the Sahaaba and Tabi’een to that which opposes it then he has erred in that rather (he has) innovated." This quote of yours is the main difference between general alhlulsunna and wahabi/salafi groups. You guys believe that whoever does not follow your sheikhs is deviated. We accept all four ahlulsunna madhabs and if we have slight differences we accept it unlike the wahabi/salafi group who call all others deviated people. As you can see Ibn Taymiyyah believes that only his group is the right one and that is were the founder of the wahabi/salafi group got most of his ideas.

Most of the single mothers are doing a superb job. May Allah help them and reward them for taking the role of a father and a mother and raising excellent children, the future somali generation. While unfortunately not many somali men are doing much about raising their children in an islamic way. From what I was told even back home the mothers were more active in raising the children than the men. I met some students that told me they've never being raised by their fathers that they were raised by uncles, aunties etc.Maybe is dhaqan (culture) who knows.

Thank you Wilo I'll try to use some of your tips on how to behave with the parents. Just one question; lets say a person is the only child and he/she is working. The father/mother has a desease that needs constant care if left alone he/she might hurt herself. Since the child cannot stay with the parent 24/7 because of work is he/she allowed to take the parent to an "old peoples home"?

Maybe we should ask why they are not attracted to this section. Maybe when we have legitimate questions we are personally attacked of having a secret agenda or never getting the answers we are looking for. Yes Islam waa diin macaan but some people here are spreading the message the wrong way by being extremely rude and they say they are following the Prophet (saww). It is part of the Mercy of Allah that you deal kindly with them, because if you were harsh with them, they would have run away from you. I've never heard of Iran invading a country. So what makes us think that they want to invade Mecca and Madina? We should be careful not to listen to the people who want to divide Muslims. Do you know that Iran is the only country that does not differentiate between sunnis and shias? Iran is the only country that openly supports the palestinian cause. We should be worried of the over 200 nuclear bombs that Israel has infact Israel is the one that want to occupy Mecca and Medina.

Have you seen the weddings back home? They overspend more than in the western countries. Men go looking for spouses abroad because girls here now know their rights under the shariah and they expect to be treated according to the islamic law. Since men studying here don't want to take the responsibility of taking care of their families they are getting more rejections that is why some of them don't even try to propose because they know they cannot take care of knowledgeable women like the one that existed in the times of the sahaba (most of the girls here don't just read the Quran but they also learn the meaning). If men start treating women fairly and with respect we would have a better community as somalis. Most of the men abandon their wives and children and go and marry women in Syria, Somalia etc. And these same men advice the youngsters that they should look for pious wives abroad.

Caaqil; the fact that some people live in these deplorable conditions make the rest of Mogadishu the same. There is no excuse for some to live in luxury while their neighbours are starving including the camels. By talking about it and facing the reality of neglecting basic human rights maybe we can make people aware of taking care of their own nation instead of waiting for handouts.

No wonder Hitler could behave the way he did. History is repeating itself except this time the victims are muslims. The American people had only two choices Bush or Kerry it is like choosing between Hitler and Sharon; and they call it democracy. Democracy is when you can choose from different parties and not only the elite parties.

Man of Freedom where were your special forces when the revolution overthrew the American papet the Sha of Iran. Iran is the only country that can walk with their heads up; they will never bow down to the self proclaimed super power of the world. You should know that Iranians liberated their country from humiliation and as long as other countries are allowed to have nuclear power they have the right to acquire nuclear power. Infact I believe that all nations either should have it or they should not have it (equality for all). I suggest that you should concentrate on disarming the ones who already have these WMD starting from the one that is crying out faul. By the way the two countries that you said are liberated I call them occupied countries. Iran will never be occupied.

From what I heard people hated the 21 of October because children were forced to march in the scorching heat and people were forced to come out of their homes and out in the streets and cheer for these festivities otherwise they might pay or even face jail. It seems people were off from work so they could march. I was told that only the elite were exempted from marching or cheering. While the two eids people were genuinly happy and no one ever came to force them to come out and cheer outside. Children used to get eid clothes only on these two days and never on the 21 of October. At least that is what I was told.

I'm happy, excited and hopeful. I pray to Allah to unite all somalis to work towards peace. Most of the somalis who live in the Western Countries that don't want to go back is because of the Human Rights they enjoy here. It seems that we need to work harder to explain the concept of Human Rights in Somalia since they never enjoyed that ever in their History. From colonies to dictatorship that is all they know. Lets hope and pray for the better.

I agree that right now people are more concerned about shelter, food and security. Maybe this is not their priority right now. I'm just worried that after solving our differences of tribilism we start another war about the different schools of thought like Sudan, Pakistan etc. Lets hope for the best maybe we somalis had enough of wars and we might just get along no matter what. Peace to all.

Even at the time of the Prophet (s.a.w) freedom of religion existed. So it is not in paper only. Since the civil war we somalis have changed. As we can see in SOL only we have different schools of thought. Our celebrations are different right now i.e. Mowlid, Miraj; and worse we have somalis who say they are atheist. How are we going to get along (religiously speaking) when we all go back?

Assalamu Alaykum Brothers and Sisters What do you think now that we have a new President and many Somalis will want to go back home, will the different schools of thought be accepted in Somalia or one will dictate over the others? I heard some somalis converted to christianity and some don't believe in God at all what their fate will be, will they have the right to go back to their homes? Does this new President accept freedom of thought and religion?

Well we don't have much choice so we better hope for the best and support him. He is a survival maybe right now he is more qualified to unite all the different warlords. I think he is able to lead Somalia.
