  5. Igare being respected in Somaliland is not something new. The dude was always popular and well liked for his role against the deranged dervish movement & the criminal suldan kenadid even in the early 20th century.
  6. The days of Plagiarizing Somali history and claiming " Mujahiid Ahmad Gragn/Guray" as yours are over. Plagiarizing of history has died with Siad bare.
  7. The Zack;720198 wrote: That is totally fine. Some people admire the the jaajusiin, others admire the gobonimo doons. It is common that people have different opionions. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Some might see Ina Abdille hassan as their hero some might not.
  8. The Zack . I doubt the deceased defeated clannish camel thief Ina Abdille hassan will ever get the respect Igare has in Somaliland. . Igare has even whole towns named after him in Somaliland.
  9. Xeefow because they can . Igare's legacy of helping the people of those regions arming them against the tribalistic deranged dervish movement will be something to cherish. He deserves to be named after whole towns, schools, neighbourhoods.
  10. ^^^ Do you understand things with big black bold fonts? Of course he was fighting the Dervish.

It's just that there are many KNOWN people that took part in the liberation of British Somaliland that we have learnt in our history but this Igarre person I have not come across, just wondering if anyone can tell me who he was he what he did in brief,,,,,if you don't mind that is........ It has already been posted in the earlier pages reread back.
  13. bilan because he was a tribalistic man that overstayed his welcome while angering the locals and became ungrateful. Simple as. I respect him for fighting colonization in the early honest years just like Sultan Amaan Nuur, Sudi Shabeele etc and many other men. Although i don't respect him for targetting locals and their herds and all his tribalist dark side. His not our hero in our ends. Our heroes are Sultan Nuur Amaan, Sheikh Bashiir, Sheikh Farah Omar, Haji Yusuf Adan men that were less tribalistic and good role models.
  14. Xaaji Xunjuf they are upset that there is no school or xafaad named after Ina Abdille hassan in Somaliland but instead Igare.
  15. bilan Ina Abdille hassan is not our hero. Our hero is Sultan Nuur Amaan, Sudi Shabeele, Sheikh Bashiir etc men who coordinated many attacks against the British and were not tribalistic.

  17. ^^^His not as popular as in Igare in Somaliland though. But of course we know him since he was born in Somaliland.
  18. Che -Guevara who is the Sayid of Somali? we know him as Ina Abdille Hassan or wadaadkii cadceed.
