1. @Mooge said: Burao is looking good. that monument to Tuur should be guarded heavily in case siilanyo supporters want to deface it. lol. Nah they can't go near it. Yh Burco is great, nice weather, wide roads and lots of water supply, I liked it.
2. There are lots of trees in the area , specially Danweyne and Badhigalis. I have a video of my car entering Badhigalis the surrounding area has lots of large tall trees.
3. I paid a overdue visit to my birth place Abdirahman Tuur monument Ina Jamaac Libaan's new tower Shamaxle Tuurta Tuurwa my old neighborhood and the place where I was born at Tuurta
4. Masle school Masle Mosque Deegaanka Masle
5. Burco is underrated, it actually has a very good potential since it is cleaner and has better urban planning than Hargeisa plus a large water supply, Burco even exports bottled mineral water to other cities all across Somali areas that is how blessed it it is, you will spot bottled mineral water companies made in Burco such as Maaxda, Saxansaxo and so many more. As for Ceerigaabo it is true it is lagging behind a bit but things are improving with new roads.
6. Updates. After a week in the east I have come into the conclusion that Burco is better than Hargeisa in many areas such as water supply and wide roads. The weather is good in Burco as well, the only disadvantage it has against Hargeisa is it has more feral mosquitoes. As for which city has better looking chicks the report hasn't finished yet.
7. I am in Burco niyohow at the moment and will be heading to the east Sanaag/Sool my ancestral land for some project. The countryside is not that bad the road between Hargeisa and Berbera large parts of it got fixed but still the rest neeeds to be finished. The road between Berbera to Laalays is a joke, when I entered Sheikh area I got served fresh guavas, eating guavas while driving through dawga Sheikh at night was a good memory. As far as mosquitoes are concerned suddenly Hargeisa is the best as there is no poisonous mosquito problem there.
8. Dooxa is in central Hargeisa, Suuqa Waaheen is central Hargeisa which is part of 26 June and the other side of the dooxa settled by Alpha Blondy's community and many of the pictures, the suuq is the melting pot of Hargeisa where no particular clan dominates it so one would expect it would look better than other areas but it is messed up. I have went to Hadhwanaag restaurant in Ahmed Dhagax(very nice food), Jigjgiyar, most other neighborhoods and I noticed they all have something in common which is lack of infrastructure no proper paved roads and lots of trash Lol. Today apparently was the only day in the year where the "local government" cleans and they were burning rubbish and leaving it in the streets. The whole point of cleaning is to get the rubbish out of sight not burning it in the street and leaving it there, reminds me of the west Africans that were leaving Ebola bodies in the streets.
9. Talaabo has a point. I don't understand how some of the other landers here are content with low standards. Hargeisa is suppose to be our capital yet there is no infrastructure to speak off, doesn't that bother you.
10. Gheele Hargeisa has failed I am afraid in terms of infrastructure I am totally disappointed with it in addition with lack of cleanliness(lots of trash everywhere in the streets) , for a city that claims to have 1 million residents how can 99% of roads be in shambles? Mogadishu and Jigjiga have surpassed it easily in terms of infrastructure.
11. Saalax presents the real Hargeisa. Here are the photos folks I have uploaded them in this new blog called Somaliland trip 2015 as it is quicker to upload pictures there. From Hargeisa Bazaar Suuqa Waaheen (biggest open market in Hargeisa city ) to the daily life in the streets of varied neighborhoods in Hargeisa filled with men chewing khat and dooxa in central Hargeisa. I have uploaded 9 pictures I will upload more later on.Surprisingly earlier today was the first time since being here I saw a wheelbarrow being used in the city. I also took videos and pictures of the roads as a evidence 99% of them are in shambles, there is basically no proper paved roads in Hargeisa apart from one. http://somalilandtrip2015.blogspot.com/
12. Mooge I am good niyohow alhamdullilah. I did take pictures but also a lot of videos I will upload it here sometime. To be honest I have seen a lot of Somali looking people also begging, so I am not sure if it is Oromo only that beg. The strange thing is in my entire time in Hargeisa I haven't seen a single wheelbarrow(karyoon), there is basically no xamaals here that is how lazy people are and addicted to khat. On the other hand a lot of people are doing ok for themselves there is a shop everywhere and many restaurants, many bus/taxi services.
13. I took a lot of videos and pictures as evidence (more will be taken), a lot of people will be infuriated by the reality soon lol.
14. This city isn't what I was expecting, first of all it is as hot as Djibouti in daylight if not worse, night time is cold though(thank god). 99% of roads are in shambles, there is only one proper paved road in central Hargeisa. There is litter everywhere to the point you get the feeling there is absence of working local government, you will also see so many shanty houses around the edges of the roads that house dozens of men chewing khat, there is a lot of poverty as well you will find people from young to old begging you for cash in the open markets and everywhere.I have accepted the reality that Hargeisa is very far from what it is portrayed as, nevertheless I wouldn't trade Hargeisa for elsewhere in Somali regions, at least here you don't have to watch your back against random bombs, the girls are pretty as well so that is a plus.I will be heading to my ancestral towns in the east in few weeks inshallah.

20. I guess three years of begging Culusow did not work, bad strategy. http://www.hiiraan.com/news/2015/Mar/wararka_maanta19-90656.htm
21. He tried to open a party in Somaliland just few years ago but he was rejected because he was apparently a CIA snitch, his not a real pro Somalia unionist, he is opportunistic.
