Who were the assilants ? Why were they attacking ? Give'em a 'warm welcome' next time they come calling.

Megan, the link's broken. btw, is it healthcare oriented or does it have forums on other majors as well. Thanks

Two things, Johnny boy: a) you might wanna minimize the cheerleading. b) you might wanna string together a a few coherent sentences relating to the topic at hand. Example of gibberish: Always KEEP in mind , Somalis twist history JUST to make to the Arabs , Specially to the " kuresh" Arab family. Them not speaking even semi-arabic language doesen´t raise their eyebrows. Memorizing the "Kuran" in early ages and beeing fake descendants of "Kuresh" Arab family is part and parcel of every Somali´s mentality . and this little gem: WEST is not a religion , Islam is If Islam is a way of life then WEST is not . explaining that plain diffrence costed you alot , but you delivered it sxb and in time !! WELL done NGONGE !!

Hang on...You praisin someone the last we knew died as non muslim..and you were bashin someone last we knew died as muslim. Absolutely. Character-wise, Jenning beasts that "someone"

^^True that. A high-school drop-out who excelled at his profession through sheer perseverance. He displayed honesty, integrity, and courage throughout his career. Helluva better man than spineless "fathers of nations"

Most of the Scholars agree that if someone replaces the Shariah totally with Man-Made Laws that they are a Kafir. You will find most Scholars agreeing on this, because this points to that in there heart they think what they are Ruling by is Better then the Hukm of Allaah, the Most High, but that is when they completely change the Shariah and implement the Laws of Man As is the case in most Muslim countries. Rulers whose constitution is derived from the French or English legal code. Shariah is a secondary 'source' of legislation, if at all.

^^ Atheerkiis, young bloods regardless of ethnicity don't carry all that cultural baggage with them. Young Paki's don't like spicy curry/Young 'Malis don't like mushy soor. They both seem to survive quite well on Doritos.
-
^^ That may be because you're not a 18-24 year old Somali(sheer assumption, of course). Hamzah doesn't really track well with the 50+ demographic

Atheer Ngonge (3azallahu maqaamak), I really wouldn't have brought up Arafat's case had you not decided to white-wash his history. I also see that you fervently belive the dead shouldn't be disturbed with harsh criticism. Thus granting immunity to tyrants and despots the minute they expire. I disagree with that approach. How do you explain the billions of dollars(proven beyond doubt, simple matter of Googling it) he squirreled away ? Are you seriously dismissing it as a zionist plot ? Explain then the abject poverty of his people, despite UN and Arab funds being pumped into his organisation. Money(kista), has corrupted many a man before him, he's not the first nor the last. I understand he might have been a revolutionary figure to your generation growing up, but you're taking hero-worship a tad too far. Don't let it distort your reasoning nor make you re-write a dead man's past. P.S Let it go man, you're staring smack-dab at conclusive evidence. It's not worth it.

Butter on toast ! Akh Hamzah's got the whole "young-muslim-in-the-west" scene figured out.

^^ He wasn't slow. He just didn't want "none-a-that". You don't get cussed out by a wildly gesturing, hostile street bum and expect that somehow he'll turn his attention elsewhere. Sharks smell blood(read: fulaynimo), they go for the kill.

As I said, the first part of this discussion does not concern me and is pointless. I shall happily accept all your labels: Western apologist, tyrant defender, taghoot defender and seeker of Islamic credentials. One would not expect anything less from one that defames the dead As for the labels I sent your way, I'm only reflecting my impressions after reading your posts. Surely, you can agree that one is held accountable for one's writing. My fault if they don't accurately protray you. Like I said earlier, I take no pleasure in villyfying dead villians, but I can't stand by and watch history get whitewashed by all those "rest-in-peace" salutations. As if a fair and noble monarch passed away instead of a vicious tyrant. A man makes his reputation by his deeds. Don't cry defamation when I point those deeds out. But, I return to the blatantly ignorant allegations about Arafat that you refuse to retract. Where are those millions of dollars? Here and I said billions...not millions. Get ur facts straight. (please don't discredit CBSNEWS as a right-wing zionist mouth-piece. This is, after all, the CBS of Dan Rather) Why did he not use them in all his time as the leader of his people? I don't know. I woulda said ask him, were he still alive, but since he's not, allow me to engage in pure speculation: "umm maybe he didn't want the Palestinians to see that he was growing rich thanks to their suffering" Why did the Palestinians NEVER reject him (this includes Hamas, Al Aqsa Brigade and all those that still call for an armed struggle)? Still at history white-washing, I see. "Hamas, Al Aqsa Brigade and all those that still call for an armed struggle" rejected him time and again. Get educated by a Hamas dude here Have you followed this “corrupt†man’s history? The prisons he was thrown in? The battles that he won? The humiliations he endured in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and countless other places? The sacrifices he made? Don't get it twisted. You're as good as your last game. I'm not concerned with what Arafat was. I'm concerned with what Arafat has become. Even you can tell the diffenrence between the two. Let me help(it's a difficult concept) Example: Malcom X started out as a pimp, burgaler, drug-dealer, and atheist feared by many. Malcolm X became a Muslim, a Father, and a Shaheed respected by all. Some say Arafat was on the CIA payroll. Some say he was a traitor to the cause. I'm not interested in opinions and theories. Gimme tangible facts. And the facts say that this was a man who may have started out sincere but later on in his life benifitted masssively from his people plight. It's not only him, it includes his fellow PLO members that are busy building splendid villas while the very people they're supposedly representing, stay poor. I have no respect for such men. Even when they're dead. They had no honour in life, and they have none when six foot under. Try and come up with specifics next time. Spare me another opinionated sermon.

Though I believe this to be yet another of those pointless discussions. Pointless because it really leads nowhere and sheds no new light on the rule of King Fahad. It’s the same old allegations really. They might be wrong and they might be right. The man is dead and one can’t fathom why this argument is still raging on or what those “debating†hope to achieve From Western apologist to defender of dictators' honour and legacy ? Quite a U-turn. The man may be dead. His legacy isn't. The fact that he has $25 billion of the Saudi people's money isn't an allegation. It's a reality. Ditto the torture stories, partial application of Shari'ah(depending on your socioeconomic level), or his lackeydom to the West. Explain all that objectively, or find a new taghoot to defend. These are strong allegations. They’re also what the Zionists have been peddling for the past thirty years. Still, for a fat, rich man is it not curious that he spent the last two years of his life imprisoned in his own compound? Is it not curious that in all his years of association with the Palestinian cause one could not spot any visible signs of wealth on the man? The same old Khaki uniform and scarf were worn at all times! Is it not even more curious that instead of dying a normal rich man’s death, he was poisoned? Finally joined the ranks of the conspiracy theorists you so vehemently used to decry, eh. Or is it a easy way to bolster your Islamic "credentials" Ok, my language was a bit strong, but how else do you explain holing away billions of dollars marked for the development of Palestine into private accounts ? Billions of dollars that could take care of , say, the sewage running the streets of Rammalah. As for his clothing style, when one is a aging former crack commando, one must keep up appearences. Nothing says international sympathy better than being surrounded by Israeli tanks. Don't fall for the superficial.

^^ Is that a trick question ? It's called a national uprising/revolution/kick the infidel out. Easier said than done you might say, but it's been done successfully before. It all boils down to bold leadership. Faisal brought Uncle Sam to his knees in '73 with the oil embargo. The Saudi people can still kick the monkey off their collective backs.
-
If you were put today in the position of the Saudi king, how would you impose on applying Shari"ah and defense of Islam? Be realistic. It's not too hard. Not when you have hundreds of billions of dollars just laying around waiting to be spent. The means are there, the people are there, the religous establishment is there. Righteous leadership ? Nope. Pan-Islamic out-look ? Maya. Honor, Integrity, and Testicular fortitude ? Fuggedaboutit Fahad was a Muslim leader that passed away just like other Muslim leaders. I don't know how he's different than Sheikh Al Nahyan or Carafaat. They’re all alike. They supported Muslim and non-Muslims alike Well, what's the common denominator of these great leaders ? All died with more than 10 billion Doolaar Amreekii(estimate) gathering dust in private accounts in Swiss Banks. Arafat's case is more despicable; he prostituted the Palestinian cause and grew fat off it. Brings a whole new meaning to "Low-Life". .And maybe Allah SWT will forgive your sins for holding your tongue. I take no pleasure in villifying already dead villians. But let's not get amnesia after they die. One of the root causes of our demise as an Ummah is rotten leadership. To expose and criticize them is an obligation.
-
don't think anyone's forgiving him,but he has reached his destination that Allah SWT has decreed for him and there's point in making it worse for him How exactly can anybody make it worse or better for him ? The journey's over, Khalaas. He lived his life through and through, good or bad. Now he just has to face the heat. like the "throwin people outa helicopters in the middle of the Empty Quarter" bit. Allegedly.

Has the word "accountabilty" been buried along with Fahad yesterday ? Fact of the matter is, you reap what you sow. And if you just so happen to sow oppression, torture, and death. There is a Just Lord(SWT) that will hold you accountable. You make your bed, you sleep in it. No number of "rest in peace"'s and Quranic recitations will change that fact. True, we have no say in his ultimate fate. But we're dead(pun fully intended) sure that justice will be served. On a totally different matter, I'm wondering why we're so quick to forgive tyrants after their death ? At the slightest hint of criticism, you hear "Don't talk about him, he's dead". Well, I wouldn't be talking about him in the first place if he didn't habitually deep-fry anybody who disagreed with him.

Thanks for the points, bro. I will look it up. But my question still stands, are there not cases that are clear-cut and needs neither research, nor referring to a Scholar. Something that's "Waadi7 wudoo7 al-shams". I brought up Attaurk as an example only.

Akh Salafi da'wa, . One may Close down the mosque and turn it into a museim, ban hijab..ect, and still maintain his iman.if he was asked, do u think what ur doing is Halal? he retorts"NO, its against islam, this isharam This man's actions clearly contradicts his words. What if in one breath he proclaims the Shahaada, and turns around and commits acts that completly negate it. Are you saying his actions have no bearing on his Islam ? Explain to me how you can have a shred of Iman left, if you ban the hijab, or legalise alcohol, or wage war on Islam. What difference does it make if he keeps on insisting that he's a muslim, and those actions he's commiting are haraam. ? See, there's a differnce between a regular person commiting a sin, and between a person in power legislating laws contradictory to Islam. be it taxleel or taxreem. and from the aqeeda of Ahlul Sunnah walJama'ca is that he does not leave the fold of islam. No it's not bro, Refer to the Nullifier E-book. As for Ibn Abbas's "Kufr doona Kufr", he was referring to the Ummayads ,then in power. There's a vast difference between them and today's despots, Attaturk being a prime example. Lastly, I'm not sure if ur familiar with Attaturk, but if you are, do u consider him Muslim ?
