  1. tfg is not different but that is not the question tell when did indhacade become sheikh and why shabelle hoose doesn't have a governer just like shabelle dhexe that is why i don't support them. please don't tell me they don't have anyone that educated who have the same view .....i konw they can't make happy everyone but they surley could make happy most of them mark my word the reason is the tng is behind it and they still control shabelle hoose Xox-ogaal, you've conviently side-stepped my questions. Ku laabo, bal. Paragaon, the 'noble birth' remark was mine, not xox-ogaal), used as a joke. Blame Xiin for introducing it.
  2. Xox-ogaal, you heard it here first: FFFFF everybody that was in the old government(AbdiQasim's gov). Thieves kala daran kuligood. It's no secret that millions of dollars alloted to Somalia by the international community is now sitting in banks all around the world. I got two questions for you, if you are of noble birth(I should trademark this phrase ) 1- How is the TFG any different from the TNG 2- What does the TNG(old goverment) have to do with the current mass grass-roots movement known as the Courts ? If the Courts weren't Muslim, I swear they'd be lauded as a people-power movement like the Cedar Revolution in Lebanon.
  3. ^ Bro, at the end of the day.....waxaa oo dhan ka soo tag...at the end of the day, it comes down to one criteria: what have you accomplished...what have you done. And by that measure, both the TFG and the TNG have been screaming failures. I consider Abdiqasim's goverment a even bigger failure than the current one because he was in his 'power-base' and his government did nothing more than squander and swindle money. Money intended to end the suffering of the Somali people. Now, I'm watching the exact same movie all over again. Fake Somali Goverment(FSG): The Sequel. And these clowns want inay iga dhaa-dhaacseeyaan that it's legit. Man, who you tryna scam here. Filinkaas horay baan uu soo galay. lol
  4. No need to prove it. It's as obvious as dry ink. Both him and Allamagan flipped to the TFG side the minute Kismayo fell to the ICU and Hiraale was kicked out. They waited and prayed for Hiraale to recapture Kismayo to no avail. Not suprisingly, Hiraale becomes Minister of Defence and our boys fall in line with the TFG. Coincidence ? Happenstance ? Me thinks not so. Can't help but think about the Somali's Kryptonite, which explains all. Now, I don't know these two guys. But I can bet a million bucks(if it was halaal) that they're related to Hiraale. How so ? It's in plain in view. The same thing goes with various nomads from Puntland. They were staunchly in favour of the ICU until ICU armies headed towards Galkacyo in pursuit of warlord Qeyb-khayr-deed. Thats when hurdatha ay ka kaceen and this lil jinni called qabyaalad took over. One of them, a Shaykh-Commando-Poet hybrid got all worked up and produced the Politics section first works of art. Poems, polemics, and plays. You name it. The Qabyaalad awakened the budding artist in him. Powerful thing Qabil is, I tell ya. Undoubtly, there are those that are supporting the ICU for Qabil reasons, but at least in this forum, their voices have been mute. All I'm hearing(reading) is the anti-ICU crowd insisting that the TFG is the legitimate Somali government. Yeah, except for the small fact that it hasn't been doing much governing besides wasting one year begging for international money while residing in plush hotels, another year holed up in Jowhar under warlord Tall-Dude's protection(imagine: a goverment under protection ?. Only in Somalia), and the 3rd year suffering mass defections in the Parliment as well as cabinet discord. What's the only constant in this masraxiya: A/Y and Geedi issuing memorandum after memorandum. Now tell me: Why the FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF should I(or anybody else for that matter) give it due recognition when it's done nothing( I repeat: Nothing) but talk, talk, and some more talk ? Here's comes conventional wisdom(and the thinking of many nomads ): wait for it "Because, young Kashafa, the TFG is our Tolka. And as new-nomad Cabdiciise stated so honestly: "And my tribe supports the TFG, that means I support the TFG" Say Salaams to peace in our time untill either a)this tribal mentality is extinguished and replaced by solid Islamic values(and if you were misinformed: Somalinimo does not automatically equal Islamnimo) or b) Exterminate(exile, try and hang, etc) the current crop of secular warlord leaders. All of them. Hang the f'ing *******s from the treetops so that their death marks the end of 16 years of tribal strife. If only option B was practical. If only.
  5. ^ lol, maybe in 2 generations time. A big maybe, at that. Check it out, man. Say you got two younger brothers and they're hell-bent on beating each other up because of long-standing unresolvable diffreneces(PS3 playing rights, who gets first dibs at using the family car etc). Now, you try to maintain the peace and talk to both of them, but it ain't workin'. Your two younger brothers wanna duke it out, settle for once and all, who gets to be top dog(after you, of course). So ur running outa options and to break this impasse, bacaadka aa keentay. And you're like: "Aight, you're both my blood brothers and I love y'all to death, but this beef won't be squashed till y'all taste blood. May the best man win" So they square off, circling each other. Each looking for an advantage. Brother A is moving his feet nicely, dancing out of reach yet peppering Brother B with light jabs. Basically, A is boxing in B and setting him up for the knockout blow. Just before he delivers it, Brother B yells for help and two other ciyaal-ka xaafadha join in. Not any two guys either. They come from the worst family on the block AND their father bankrupted your father through shady business dealings. Now, it's the two Shady brothers and Brother B, against Brother A, who's valiantly battling 3-1 odds. Talk about betrayal. Talk about disgrace. Talk about dishonour. Talk about dhuli dhuli dhaafay. To call for the help of your family's worst enemy, sacrificing everything your father taught you, to try and win a losing battle, when you're been out-classed and out-boxed at every step. Cowardice much ? I ask you: What would you do at that point, if you are of noble birth(to borrow a Xiin-ism lol) You get my point. This is a no-brainer. War was inevitable the minute Etho soldiers started popping up all over Somalia. Ninkee shantaada kaa celinin,( salaan ma kaa celiso ?...somebody finish the maah-maah).
  6. Waraa Rudy, Did it cross your mind that human beings are dying ? That limbs will be amputated, that mothers will mourn and children get orphaned ? This war is an ugly necessity for Somalia. It must be fought, but there's no glory to be gained from it. Hathal iyo war nor negotiations will evict the Etho enemy from our land and force is the only option. Bets kulahaa..You wanna bet ? Aight, let's bet on amputees vs paralysed soldiers. Your odds. Sheesh. hoping the yankees will take sudden interest in the region and whipe out all warlords Call me dumb, but something tells me the Yanks won't be too eager to set foot on Somalia. Something about this here incident
  7. And my tribe supports the TFG, that means I support the TFG. "And my tribe way isku xaartay and that means aniga waa isku xaaraa" ****************** That quote wins the Most Foolworthy line of 2006. Cabdiciise homey, you just arrived, easy with the qabyaalad, willya ? ___________________ Afka dhowro, baliis. [ December 21, 2006, 11:21 PM: Message edited by: Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar ]
  8. O Riyaalaaba dhimane Prioritize, homey. Don't point fingers at Riyaale(yet) when you got the arch-traitors and warlords holed up in Baidoba like cornered rats. Al-aqrabu fal aqrab is the name of the game. Indeed this is a monumental moment in Somali history.

  11. ...over the Qur'an oath controversy. Click it . I think he might be the first Somali-American(Somerican ? Somalian-American ? whatever) interviewed on a major TV network. Macalinka has already got down the mannerisms and cadence of TV-talk, lol. Brother done good. LST, you up next, homey. Iska celi hee Another covering the manufactured controversy on the "fair and balanced" .
  12. ^ LOL@Aw Yusuf, walee ninka magac ba helay. . I hear Aw Yusuf and I visualise oday oo bakoorad wato oo fadhi-ku-dhirir ka sheekeeynaayo.
  13. I hope my reasonable objections against wadaada ku sheega's won't be a disappointment and chorus party killer Chorus killer ? Howsabout the biggest dhuuso since the fabled Shimber of Sheeko Xareero fame . Talk about a disappointment. Basically, what you've achived here is: waxa uurka kugu jiro aa soo qoftay. It's all good, tho. I mean, look at the responses of everybody before you. They speak of concrete accomplishments, tangible progress that has been noted and lauded by wax-kale-iska-dhaaf-ee, impartial international observers. You could've acknowledged that first. Give the 'devil' his due. Honest debate and integrity demands it. Athiga maxaa lasoo shir tagtay ? Biyooooleeeeeeeeey, Ala they're gonna ban biyooleeey and istunka and saarka, Practices chock-fulla jahiliya and shirk. What most of you listed, especially "bringing back security, booming business" etc, any group can do that if they had a chance The TNG had 4 years of chances. What'd they achieve ? Jack.........Squat. The TFG had/has 3 years and counting. What'd they achieve ? Nuffin. Marka, cut the excuses and give respect where respect is due, even towards those you perceive as being the enemy, raganimada ay kamid tahay. Better luck next time in discrediting the ICU, maybe a catchy phrase like 'clan courts' will help mask the inherent weakness of your case. I use the word inherent because it's futile to attack the hottest thing to happen to Somalia since Sayyidka and Xiin Faneen(not you, talkin' bout the horse, waaba is mahdisay ) . G'luck with that.
  14. 16) They have fulfilled the promise of Islamic governance that first took off as a concept and idea during the Islamic revival in the 70's and 80's, when Somalis having travelled abroad in mass numbers to study Islam, came back with the requisite knowledge of the fundamentals of this deen. The khuraafaat and awliyo-worship were sent flying out the window. These recent developments frighten both the Wahhabi-phobics among us(waa is taqaanaa ) who yearn for a return to the old, less restrictive free-flowing secular way of life; as well as the arch-tribalists who fear a up-ending of the qabil-based social order. Fact check: Hayhaat. The old days are long gone, my bruddas. Welcome to a new Somalia. Welcome to a Islamic Somalia. Welcome to the United States of Somalia.
  15. ^^ kaagaan jiran, Because Reer Cabudwaaq have chosen inaay iskuxukumaan Shareecada deentina dhigayso.......that makes them your enemy ? Take allat self-pride and jaahilnimo and shove it up where the sun don't shine. This is why you can't reason with a qabil-freak. Sidoo oo fiyoobyahay boo hal mar ku kacaa jiniga qabyaalada, and all reason or logic or hope or peace is futile. MY QABIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIL.(Subsitute Mel Gibson's Freeeeeeeeeeedooooooooom line at the end of Braveheart)
  16. ^^ . Why do I gotta be juvenile, or youthful(or any other adjectives u throw my way when ur losing an arguement) ? I'm 22 years old, dagnabit. In my dad's generation, kaabo qaabil aa noqon lahaa by now . See camal, sxb.
  17. No problem, duqa. Ka gudub, but next time be 100% sure before hitting that 'Add Reply' button, cuz you never know who's reading your first draft. Thanks for the info.
  18. Horta iga raali ahow, sxb. But if I remember correctly, it was even more inflamatory than the way I wrote it, which is what caught my attention. I was gonna quote it and reply to it...but poof....twas gone. Maybe you can post it the way you wrote. But me and you, and the two pairs of ku'taab on our shoulders, know that you wrote more than just applauding the good people of Cabudwaaq. That said, a few questions, law samaxat, I'm kinda new to the geo-politics of this conflict. WHere is Balanbale ? and how does it relate to Cabudwaaq ? Are they in the same district of Galgaduud ? What parts have the accursed Ethos entered and occupied ?
  19. ^^ MMA, thanks for your overall advice. I think it's misplaced, but thanks nevertheless. That radical idealogy I supposedly share with the Courts is called Al-Islam and it's followers are called Muslims. You've heard of it, I assume ? Wait a sec....You're a Muslim, too !!...Heeeeey, 10 million Somalis are Muslims too. Well, whaddayaknow !! Turns out we all share this radical ideaology that orders it's adherents to apply its laws(known as Shariah, from what I understand). Wow, small world, eh. This idealogy I'm told firmly forbids us from taking an infidel into confidence, let alone having them dictate your foriegn and domestic policy, let alone occupying your towns(read: Baidoa, for you homey ) allegedly invited in by it's inhabitants(baseless, the good people of Baidoa never invited A/Y or the Ethos). What do you make of that, wazeerka. Bal ka soo fakar.
  20. ^^ lol@HornAfrique.. Sxb, ha tir-tirin waxa aad qortay...lol...C'moon, put back in . To help you jog your memory, it went along these lines: "I applaud the people of Cabduwaaq for saving their homes by politically manevuring their way out of war. Instead, Let war happen to those people who are calling for it"
  21. ^lol, I was using it as a tongue-in-cheek metaphor(see the smiley?). I know that, medically speaking, it's not effective.
  22. Originally posted by Allamagan: Maxkamadaha spoiled everything! They are desprados warmongers like their predecessors. eager to spill more somali blood as ever! Slight correction, akh: They're eager to spill traitorous Somali blood. Kinda like the practice of bloodletting, out with the sick dirty blood and the body gets better. Or to give you a historical parallel, kinda like what Sayyid Mohamed Abdullahi Xasan did to the traitorous Somalis that aligned themselves with the Brits and Ethos, badoo(ocean) kuwatha guray. Bottom line: Traitor calaf ma lahan.
  23. The great irony is that many of the leaders of the UIC are not anti-American at all. Several of them have lived and worked in the United States. Far from wanting to export ideology, they are focused on their domestic agenda. One of the main policies is a decree that properties seized by the warlords must be returned to their rightful owners. This has encouraged thousands of exiles to return to Mogadishu . But, with the military intervention by Ethiopia (which has a large and restive Muslim population ripe for political and ideological proselytising), the UIC's reluctance to meddle will undoubtedly change As so often happens, this war will achieve exactly what it set out to avoid: in this case, entrenching an Islamist government by providing it with even more popular support and legitimacy. Most Somalis will come to see the UIC as a bulwark against foreign invaders. What does Ethiopia - a country of 75 million people that suffers chronic food shortages and one of the highest levels of HIV - gain from this? Nothing. But, like other leaders in his position, Prime Minister Zenawi may find a foray abroad will help to silence criticisms about undemocratic elections and political persecution. 10 bucks for the first SOL'er who says Rageh Omar is a pro-court killer-rapist-looter-drug-dealin'-journalist-turned propagandist. Aqriso , yaa waryaa, and may you soon see the light.
  24. Khalaf, Let's not get defensive-minded. Everything Ayoub said as far as Duke's positions is accurate and everybody can see that. What credibility does a man(nothing personal, Duke..juss using as an example) have, who on one hand, rails against the Courts as killers, looters, painting them as the reincarnation of USC(flagrantly false comparison), while his warlord hosts the actual killers and looters responsible for the early 90's attrocites. Clan politics makes strange bedfellows. Because of Al-Qabil, Duke is forced to embrace the men responsible for the massacres of thousands of civillians. Is that not disgusting, as Ayoub rightly puts it ? Have you noticed how he never brings up their names(*Caydiid, Jr/Muse Suudi are ahh ummm yeah very fine public officials...ummm yea...they ah serve Somalia with umm pride and distinction.*sound of somebody selling his soul*)I don't blame him, it's very very embarassing. I wouldn't be able to look myself in the mirror, I'll tell you that much. That said, please don't lump us ICU-supporters as partakers in clan politics. For the most part, many of us don't share a clan affiliation with Mogadisho. In my building complex, there are 4 'Mali families(2 from PL, 1 from Baidoa, 1 from Moga) and guess what they all support the Courts. Practically, every Somali cat I see supports the Courts, religous or non-religous. To them, it's simple: A/Y brought in the accursed Ethos: Bring it, homey. Walaa kala baxaa. It's not a reigonal thing, It's an Islam thing, It's a Somali thing. Any clean-hearted honest-minded Somali oo dheeg leh can see that. This Islamic revival taking place is a national phenomena sweeping across all of Somalia. Courts popping up North, South, left and right. Even in the peaceful, stable areas of PL and SL, Somalis are calling for ISLAM NOW. Inshallah, they'll get it. Inshallah, we'll all get it.
  25. There goes the thread...SB, Assuming ur not playing devil's advocate(which u are, but ka gudub), re-read the article in full(not skim thru it) and listen to Fadwa speak. That's all. Read, listen, reflect, don't. post. at. all. unless you got something worthy to say.(not saying your point of view isn't worthy it just kinda reeks of a flaming troll, the wording yacni) Point-ka, Yeah, I read the other stories when they came out...gotta love the NYT, they always got engaging stories, the multimedia makes the whole story come to life.
