^ And you wake the dead ghost in this thread after more than a year just to repeat what has been said? First, i welcome you on SOL , second i demand an active mind as Sol has got more than it's share of lazy minds.

hmmmm, intresting , i can imagine him/her looking green outside, but how does (s)he look inside? red?

Female intuition is nothing but any given result that turns out to be correct after a female and a male had argued on something!!.

Ngonge , Serenity and Zafir are jealous as they coulden't even grant JB the benifit of the donut, As for Ngonge ,though he got too many "min yaro" candidates to choose from, he's got his eyes on what kind of girl/woman JB falls for, he is like that guy in the resturant who always thinks your meal looks tastier than his. As for Zafir, the man is on his 5th divorce for a good reason, whenever he hears a girl/woman scream he can't resist the need to be there. beating him in his own game, i'd expect him not to disclose my plans of bringing(drinking) the kids milk. As for Serenity, she belongs to those girls who keep struggling with their cleavage to shift the guys' eyes from it to their eyes. only she would know that i still hold the record of swapping foster homes. Taking all those punchs and Najma is not even in the mood of giving me that flirting "thank for that sexy mind walalo" , but heeeeeeey, unlike those three Canibals i caught the scent of Najma's sheer cincerity and the haze in her voice to have reacted the way i did without hitting my head on something.

I've seen few "this guy is so " posts lately but i think yours is the most convincing one , so allow me to share my view. I think , you need to take it easy with yourself , at least for now, you'll have to sift through what you feel for this guy next month or two , but for now i want you to concentrate on your daughters . it seems that you're having some sort of family crisis , and the thought , the sheer thought of him leaving you and the daughters is enough to get you mal-adjusted, that is normal, specially after you get kids. I think ( am sure) he'll come back to you and his daughters, but before he does , you need to come back to your self and to your daughters , obviously the father of your daughters is having a problem , and he needs your help as much as you need him . but for the moment , i'd advise you to concentrate on your kids , without you over-calling him and him falling deep into whatever he is on. There are surely more than you wanted to share so i,m only acting on largely pure instnics. Be strong , you're a good mother and probably a wonderful person.

Very intresting Fidel - ow ! Given that we regard anyone who considers him or herself as anointed with the truth in all matters a fool, the Pope is everything but an exception. Though i find the exchanges ( you ,SB and sheikh Nur ) intresting , but it'd be a ********* of sort to pretend to have missed the more grave attempt of the Pope to justify the not-so-very-subtle message of " Both our wealth and knowledge are in demand ", in another words a supremacy in religion and wealth. Obviously the correlation between Poverity and Faith is more or less the same as the correlation between Richness and Faith , the chicken and the egg trick of sort , but the Pope seems too eager to re-export only this exclussive piece of the westren culture , again with the support of the old and most grave assumtion of all time , namely , "They both need to be fed and know why " Halelulja. The Pope unfortunately depicts the poor Christians as the fool and drenged ,and in my view it'd be pusillanimous if not dishonest for an informed cincere person to conclude otherwise.†As for the Pope's claim that the west's rationality freightens the christians in Africa and Latin America it leaves much to be desired . being that it putatively comes from no one else but from the "infalliable"Pope.

Tukaale , You and the children of God is a metaphor , please try to understand it in the context . Farax, i second that , but then whose intellect are we using to judge the veracity of its contents ? not mine , that is definitely for sure . Khayr, spill the beans and relif us, eh , you'd always been good for learning . _________________________________________________ continuation____________________________________ JB - You were about to tell me something that could make Mankind realize a happy destiny !. Ngonge - Yes ,Mankind can choose to take these steps now if Mankind really want to change the world and change the self-destructive course it has taken, the following steps that is. Ngonge - 1: Realise that some (many ) of their faith and belif systems about God and Life doesen't function. Ngonge - 2: Acknowledge that there are things they don't understand about God and Life. Ngonge - 3: Be more receptive to their inner and outer criticism , stay wide open for any qualifying but totally diffrent understanding about God and Life. JB - Very intresting points i must say , Regarding the first point , i know about people whose faith and belif about God doesen't function anymore , they claim that the world lacks understanding for an old fashioned religion , Life would be prefect had we listened to it , obeyed it and did exactly whatever it literally said. Ngonge - I know these people , they're the ones who think the way forward for Humanity is backward., and their holy script whichever that might be, should be literally interpreted. Those are the fundmentalists , available in all belif systems. JB - Are they right? should the earth be a better place to live on if we listened to them and obeyed literally their "holy" script? Ngonge - The initial problem with that is you just can't listen to the old script , you've to interpret the words, and the minute you're on interpreting , you be the one who decides the meaning of metaphors , convoulted senteces or a whole event of happenings. It becomes your words about God's words , instead of God's words, thus everybody has to believe that you're infalliable. JB - so , questioning the veracity of such interprations is a child's right ? Ngonge - I see that you've a clue of what a comparative theology is. JB - Just curious, what would you say to people who claim the only way available to Humanity is to follow their interpretation of their "holy" scripts litrally? Ngonge - I'd ask them to notice that those words were said (written) in a diffrent era, on a diffrent world and under totally diffrent circumstances, i would remind them that those teachings were based on few solid principles then, to interpret them today literally instead of understanding the circumstnaces behind them can only lead to a fatal misunderstanding at best and a loss of it's wisedom at worst. To conclude i'd tell them , believe in whatever you may belive , follow your heart ,but never ever try to force your ideas about your faith and belif values on others, as that is against the very princples of faith. JB - But what to do if they are so convinced about their righteousness and think its their duty to make others live like they do, assuming that they're saving others? Ngonge - I'd ask them duty towards who ? JB - How about if they answer duty towards God? Ngonge - Then i would remind them that they've misunderstood God, God never gave Humanity the "free will" just to be taken away by a punch of self-righteous believers, unless they've subconciously lost their own " free will " that is. JB- That was a very strong assertion. but then you come across wholly clean since even the fundmentalists do believe in the doctorine of the "free will". Ngonge - well, It's about God's will , and many of the laws and regulations applied in those cultures are not God's will but the leaders of those societies. JB- And who can claim to know what God's will is? Ngonge - ........coming soon.
-
JB: So you mean, mankind's faith and belif values regarding God and 'life are a self-delusion that we pass to our children generation in generation out , and it is this delusion that creates today's political, economical, social and spritual crisis? Ngonge: - that is correct. JB - So, if we can change those values we can change the others as well? Ngonge - Yes. JB - With that could we end the killings and sufferings ? Ngonge - You could do that. JB - Could we skip oppression and violence as well ? Ngonge - Actually , you could. JB - Sounds so hopeful, it makes me belive that humanity has a chance. Ngonge - You've more than a mere chance my son, You and all the children of God has a happy destiny ahead to realize. JB - Is that true? do you really mean it? Ngonge - I can assure you that mankind has the capacity of experiencing things beyond what you can dream of, Humanity is at the enterance of golden times, an era of thousands of years of peace . this could be your destiny , but you have to choose it first. JB - You make it sound like if mankind needs to conciously choose to have a peaceful life-experience, thus totally chnage their faith and belif values. Ngonge - , Your faith and belif values regarding God was it. JB - How about those who don't belive in God ? Ngonge - It doesen't matter if people belive in a God or not , everybody has something they belif in regadring Life that is, What all of you notice but fail to grsab is Man's collective faith in God reflects Humanity's collective faith regading Gud. Its not that defficult to understand if you pay attention to what i'm gonna tell you now, though some people have defficult to accept. Ngonge - ..... coming soom

For about two weeks ago i'd the opportunity to spend a whole day with my vissiting nephew, he is 13 , after "Skansen" (Zoo plus ), we took the Metro home as i hate to drive on weekends, on our way back we started talking about Train speeds and formula one (F1), my nephew tells me that back in Dubai they love speed and fast cars , he even named few of his freinds who can drive cars ,him beeing told repeadedly that he both resembles me in looks and charechter, he goes "abti", are you as good as mom says ? , i was like what u mean by good, i sure am good at few things and bad or very bad at many things. releifed he goes , "Abti" I'm bad in physics, i just don't get it , volocity, speed , time etc etc. having a reputation to live upto and trying help my nephew get a grip of it , i started explaining the concepts of volocity ,speed and time for him in a simple manner that i thought would suit his level of comprehension. Everything seemed fine till i came to my following example. At school i learned in physics that if i stand on a train that is running 90 KPH with a gun in my hand and shoot a shot that runs 60 KPH in the direction of the Train, for an observing person who stood still it would mean a shot of 150 KPH speed. Without asking what increases the bullet speed in the eyes of the observer my nephew goes, i get it 90+60 = 150 right? . My initial thought was , what do they teach the kids there , then i thought to myself atleast he's got something after you, he is good in math/addition.

Originally posted by RendezVous: JB I am sure you are talking about the "few" who have skepticism about Islam itself as a religion...most of those skepticism are personal and "answers" have not been sought for.. My point comes handy, I have many times argued about the need to go back to studying Islam again based on "Rational" criticisms it deserves, as a religion in itself...with "divine" inspiration it contains,....but to say that Islam doesn't contain/address the eternal "plan" for it's followers is just plain "cheap"... waan Kabaxay.... Ha ka bixin bro RendezVous. Before we come to your handy point and undress your scarecrow where you brilliantly smash the non-existant statement of "Islam doesn't contain/address the eternal "plan" for it's followers ", mind you putting forwards your stats ( this thread is turning into a stats thread ) that confirm that it is " FEW " belivers that shelter certain amount of skepticism? I'm of the idea that it is almost impossible to beleive that there is no single beleiver who dosen't shelter certain amount of skepticism towards her/his to be Faith becouse the contrary demands 100% absolute certainity ( percentage again ). I don't know how you can conclude that it is the fault of those skeptics not to have sought answers, while admitting that the level of ones skepticism is pesonal without you coming across as a slightly overconfident person who have all the answers. Taking the notion that " The answer is there in the Quran or the Hadith" without the slightest ambiguity it naturally takes defeats the very purpose of finding out. Originally posted by Castro: The Somali are a very proud group and associate Christianity with people whom they regard as inferior. There are only a few hundred Somali Christians worldwide. Somali Christians are despised." In another words Somalis are in it for not only the Faith but the identity as well ?! , hence an uphill battle for Christianity. Since Islam hasen't only defeated the local Somali theological herritage, but seems to even have culturally penetrated the Somalis to the point of identity crisis, a renaissance of the old literature would be intresting. I even find in modern liturature, passages like : "Akhiraba nimaan geel leheyn lama amaneyne" very intresting. P/S .. never forget to pay the DSL bill.

Originally posted by Northerner: I'm sure even you would accept the number of reverts to Islam greatly out number the apostates. I sure could have agreed as it really could be the case , but then what would that tell me about the correctness/trueness of Islam or Atheism? not much i guess, to be frank nothing. Same thing goes for the moot point of Islam beeing the fastest growing religon in America. Beside the temporary reassurance and the self satisfaction it might offer for a person who is already a beleiver but shelters a certain amount of skepticism, who needs that reassurance ( or gets a spritual kick of it), it says little or nothing about the empirical reality of the unvierse or the theological labyrinth that religions put forward for an eternal bliss. I'm really disappointed that no Somali Christian is intrested in this thread. [Edit].. Brother Red Sea, You may spill the beans and name the Christian brothers among us that you can think of. Maybe you can send them a convincing PM or pen down a line or two where you show beliving in the Father, the Son and the holy Spirit is degarading for a Somali person, so they can react.

^ Just issue the arrest order and i'll get him nailed for breaking one of the laws that govern human thought process, probabaly the law of the excluded middle. Khalaf, Castro demands one to think a little bit longer than the nose and sift the theological knowledge one posecess, how much of it is purely ones own and how much of it are carefully placed there by among other people our lovely " Parents". Now that Adam is brought to the picture i wonder if sister Modesty is intrested in his race.
-
Sister Modesty might have tried hard to hide her race issues, but subconsiously dropped her bomb on the chinese. Her conditional acceptance of the Islamic prophet's race that streches itself down to the chinese speaks volumes of the personal bag of racial prejudices she carries .there but not longer.

WHY REFUSE IRAN NUCLEAR BOMBS WHEN EVERYONE HAS IN HIS DISPOSAL..?
Johnny B replied to RendezVous's topic in General
Even for a sunni Iraki , he woulden't want a next-door Iranian with nukes , he might have entertained the thought of the Jews beeing nuked beyond the oceans, but would wake up to the reality of " an Angery man is an Angery man". -
^ To some , freedom of expression means freedom of speech.

* Can't wait the continuation , and hopefully or rather preferably a cocnlusion that explains why a Banadir boy of my age or a Borama girl who fears nothing but sleeps on a billow of dread would rather support Col Yey ( an otherwise " Go AWAY" figure ) and the frail TFG at this juncture, granted that you having the best for Somalia at heart is unquestionable. Go my graad Go !!

That is what i call a well fought battle !! Nevertheless ,the pleasure and deep satisfaction drawn from the notion "Islam is the fastest growing religion in America , in china , India or the whole world" goes to bro Northerner. I woulden't deny him such a feeling , i would rather demand a stats for the number of ppl abandoning their belif of origin. Now SB is neither a Christian preist or a Buddhist monk, but probably an honest Muslim, maybe too honest to call others Islam-haters when the tough gets going. Tone: homer DEFINITELY has an agenda...I think I know what it is but is pointless to discuss it. The best of deductively reasoned conclusion, your invocation of the good on yiur side makes the two of you, but the good beeing everywhere but on your side, you could have spilled the beans and depicted his to be agenda as well. Now , where are the Somali Christians? step forward and no matter what , Stay Somali .
-
* And i was told that Banadir was Mid and lower shabelle plus Mogadishu. Nevertheless, it has become little more than a perfunctory mantra to push the puntland ethnical border all the way south to the vicinity of Jowhar. One of Il Generale's rare political meshs.

Bilan, you make very intresting points , i wish i'd the knowledge it takes to explain why Muslim women are chased with the "wife/mother/stay at home" Gun, but when you say : "16 year old girls does not have to listen that she needs a permission from her husband to visit her sick mother " i think the problem that she has to ask for a permission to vissit her sick mother fades to NOTHING compared to the problem that she is 16 and having sex without any sort of preventive measures. Maybe this will lead your thread to a direction you rather not head , but take it just as another perspective.

Libax, Abti, i am so thankful for that piece of mind from the great philospher Xersi Magan. Though i may have lost few nugets in the way i specefically took great pleasure and deep satisfaction from the following mystical line. ^ And what have you lil slave sheikh get to add to human rights in Islam more than you already stated . "If you work, your boss owns you. If you have shelter, your landlord or the gov. owns you. You are a slave to someone or something"
