  1. ^very true, this thing, the inexperience that is, has a way of catching up to one and taking them to Yemen.
  2. ^Fatwa or more lethal guns ? i'd wish for the first , but only the later can deliver.
  3. ^ooooh , what an irony ! Self-reflection and consistency seem to abandon us of late. The enemy of our nation , namely the international community pays 200 million dollars to the Somali president on a condition that he 'kills' the innocent. This international community harbours an inherent hatred towards our peaceful nation, i.e it must in turn be hated and fought.... oooh somebody pinch me..one couldn't be more disappointed about the way the term 'Nationalist element' was connoted. Let's hope Mr Me's case against Somaliland is not based on such 'Nationalistic' vision.

You're committing same mistake that i made, namely, asking 'Kashka' to be consistent. Originally posted by Geenyaale: ^Come on abti, you want to say Amison tanks didn't kill 1000s of innocent somalis or you saying Sheikh Sharif didn't ride them? Which one is it Mr. Brawn? Hmmmmm, The first? no , the later, no,no, the first, yes, oooooh , do we've to choose?... hmmmm, it IS the first that doesn't make to bedrock. And yes I'd taken the opportunity to share the burden of choosing which of the unforgivable crimes of president Sheikh Sharif, namely, (1) having rid, and (2) having rid the 'wrong' armoured car. Now, Assuming that one can differentiate Ethiopia from Uganda and their role in Somalia's misery, would a little consistency be much to ask? regarding the thousands of Somalis killed by the Ugandan Tanks, that is ? No,oh no, i'm not gonna call you on weather the president ever sat a foot in a Ugandan Tank, that'd be bellow the belt. You see dear Geenyaale, even poor lil Johnny could figure out which one it was about, but then, it was no a question you asked, you were just paying the noble rhetoric a long due visit and dummy us (me, Fb at el), we take you for someone who at least tries to be consistent...hmmm, hmm, are you? then please elaborate on the thousands of Somalis who are killed by the Ugandan Tanks and while on it dare you forget associating their filthy crimes and president's inherent love of riding Tanks. Kashafa, Abti, I'm not sure if AA is 'the best somali satirist ever', that is too long shot if not too general to have assessed it, but that he is a talented painter is indisputable, again, according to the grapevine. What you,Juje and those who fail to see the distastefulness of the caricature (of course, after having laughed on the first encounter. i did ) is that the caricature implies constant hopelessness for Somalia and the Somalis in their most hopeful time in 20 years, be you for or against the Sharif's government, which is quite relative to that most comprehensive reality of the day, hence our dissatisfaction with Amin's lack of a better vision.
  5. I don't think you're digressing on purpose lil Kashafa ! are you? You're right though , it's the misplaced reality claimed to have been conveyed by the caricature that triggers my dissatisfaction, and obviously I'm not alone, hence the grapevine. It's a pleasure that you associate me with the Somali clans of Galcaio to Mogadishu,i deeply take pride on that, but i take issue if you either call me a looter inc consultant or in any way meant to have degraded my personality. Case in point, AA is what he is , we all like him , it's the message of his caricature that we're discussing, your sentiment of liking/disliking it is no less than Norf's enjoyment of his 'El-shabab' locked brains, so tell us what signifies the bravado? "The president is not safe in Somalia" because there are unresolved security issues, therefore the president is disliked, unpopular, not wanted, a stooge, ( i'm running out of words here ) pick your word. Let us have a cup of Swedish "Lingon", now, i've been convinced that president Sharif is the most popular Somali president ever?, challenge me, tell me how that and Amin Amir's caricature syncs down with your above bravado?
  6. spot on ! From the grapevine AA is not an educated satirist, but an X Barre propaganda machine ( his unrealistic Barre portraits drowned the nation back in the days ), and carries an inherent hate towards the clans of USC in general and the president's clan in particular, ( from the grapevine, "aqalki reer Caamir ee 'Manapolio' ku yilay waxa bililikeystay Sharif's clansmen".
  7. JB, could Hodon be from Mogadishu ?

  9. And she was good. And she had two arms, two legs and three breasts. And God asked woman what she would like to have changed about herself. And she asked for her middle breast to be removed. And it was good. She stood with her third breast in her hand and asked God what should be done with the useless boob. And God created man.
  10. you may be sat behind that screen with lipstick on.
  11. There NEVER been a 'sharia' law implemented in ANY country in the world just becouse there is NO such an agreeable thing as 'sharia' law to begin. Everybody seems to have their own interpretations of what 'sharia law' might be, and the hierarchal rules of old Arabia are not applicable to our modern societies. Welcome to the ' I know what God wants ' age.
  12. ^I've decided NOT to engage on this thread in respect to 'my' sister Rahima's religious sensibilities. nevertheless,i'll this one last time. If 'Suffering is a necessary contingency of the world because after all, GOD is ETERNAL and the world temporal', then in your attempt to exculpate God from Evilness, you're saying we've to suffer ( endure God's evilness or God's will to make us suffer ) because of the temporality of our world, which doesen't amount to much because God is claimed to be omnicient / omnipotent i.e knows and wants us to suffer.
  13. ^ I take that as a somewhat disoriented Ibti going Whauuuuut?! . I was just highlighting on what NGONGE/Serenity & co were calling you on , but in an overall perspective. Point of contention beeing on Where in the ladder of commitment you place loyalty towards others, in this case towards someone who shares a religious belief with you. As pointed by NGONGE/ Serenity & some others , you're cutting a relatively wide loyality-swath just to side with one of the Sheikhs in question, hence the call. To side with someone is a 'moral' judgement, i.e relative matter which can't be applicable to the case of Brother Bokero unless you cut that swath , which you just did in your 1st post. Wad fahamte nooh? The Examples given by Sheikh Khayr are as usual ....say out of context?.
  14. ^^^^Siding with the one you agree with in any given subject is relative ... sharing a common belief in a specefic religion is NOT, will not and can not ( read that again ) justify an endless agreemen/diagreement with someone. P.E.R.I.O.D : Now where does Borkero's Job or his freinds' is applicable here?, my thoughts too... Stuff och Material !!

  16. Cons, i'll stop , just lemme have a go on Nuune this time, he is doing some serious 'qarxis' to my 'flipped mullahism'. ps.. hope yu & family are doing all well . Cadaan, No protege fo lil Johnny, you& i , we share same insurance company. All i'm asking about is God's (if exists) responsibility in Evil since 'He' is presented as omnipotent, omniscient who is behind EVERYTHING,and/or God's perfection in Evilness. Blessed, No, they turned away from Allah, so He turned away from them. by turning away from 'them' , is 'he' then justfully evil becouse 'THEY' started first? This is the intresting reasoning! . As Ngonge & Ibti delivered the good News, Miss DD's reward for me( she promissed me before ) seems to be within reach. Norf, dare you get worked up on me bal. This time i've Ngonge & Ibti on my side.

  18. Many religious people more than willingly point to some marvelous aspects of life or nature to prove that God is perfectly good, forgetting that the same ridiculous arguments can be used to prove that God is perfectly Evil. Stephen Law wrote on SI back in 05..... Gizimoth: Here, on Eth, many of us believe in God, do we not? Booblefrip: Certainly. Gizimoth: So what is God like? Booblefrip: Well, God is all-powerful, of course. God can do anything. He created the entire universe, including every last one of us. God’s awesome power knows no bounds! (A whisper of approval ripples across the believers on the right side of the Great Chamber.) Gizimoth: Let’s agree about that, then. God, if he exists, is omnipotent. But here on Eth, those who believe in God also attribute another property to him, don’t they? Booblefrip: Yes. As you know, we also believe that God is all-evil. Gizimoth: Can you explain what you mean by that? Booblefrip: Not only does God’s power know no bounds, neither does his depravity. His cruelty is infinite; his malice without end. 19. Sheikh Sharif VS David Bowie ? GO SHARIF GO.
  20. Sheik Nur, Not that i in my wildest fantasies try to sit for AT&T ( the man is capable ), but let me address a part of your(point of contention )question regarding the ONLF, as I've no intention reveling in another grotesque definition of Democracy vs Islam. The Clan name in the ONLF comes from the Name given to the Somali territory (occupied today by Ethiopia) by the colonials, it's a historical continuation of our(Somalis)plight in the colonial hands, but that you take issue with the Clan-name in the ONLF does not seem to be where the grudge is. Without questioning your motives, what difference would it make given that the name of the organization that offers resistance ( an armed one ) to the Ethiopian confiscation of a Somali-land consisted the name of another Somali Clan in front of the occupation.? if none , why does it matter, Sheik? If you've an issue with the ONLF as an organization (secular in your view),then please educate them and the gallery for that matter why would being religious organization benefit the ONLF better.
  21. Duke's overall message: Mogadishu = clan courts. Hargeisa = SNM gang Bosasso = Somalia Simple yet (if repeated enough ) deadly .
  22. At&T, The man's unknown plans plans behind his arrival in Mogadishu are of little if any importance to seed your opposition to the peace caravan. It's your position that needs to be seeded and correctly at that. Resistance, I'm not questioning what might be wrong with Ethiopia's withdrawal and the 'souls' that are on sale, i'm asking if anybody got a better alternative. And no , i'm not hopeful , i'm personally against a mullahic power in Somalia , yet see no compromise that exculdes them, hence the peace caravan. JB, lol square.
  23. Its sad that all the nay-sayers to the peace carvan( be they puntland/TFG-clan , Somaliland/clan or ICU/sub clan ) have to say is towards the persona of Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed instead of the policies of the ARS/Djibouti. It'd be more desireable to see the nay-sayers' presentation of own alternative (if any). One is logically forced to acknowledge brother Xiin's solid political analysis with a standing ovation while firmly rejecting the hereby demonstrated reactionary grotesque analysis of the troglodytes.
  24. Now you're asking me those questions only an xpert could answer, nevertheless, to answer you i'd say firstly the 'Somaliweyn' dream is weakened to the limit that it only thrives at the hearts of those in the Territories ( klinka ))and the south. That demands according to me a 'gogol' for our brethen in Hargeisa/bosasso as to why harbour such a grief that risks the inhilation of the Republic ( here i'm taking the puntlanders sentiments of succeding if Yey doesen't get crowned and properly at that seriously into consideration), sad but such or ever worse sentiment is harboured in the North. My intial suggestion would be , let us satisfy our bretehn and accept them rather than alien them , 'awalba reerku sabarkeynuu ku dhaqanaa' as it were. in another words i rather crown Yey and hug Riyaale to ease their greif and hope them realize that they rather love me the kid from Mogadishu and one from Qbaridaharre instead of the one from Addis. Arrinku waa halkaas awoowe. soo dhawaaw hee.
