  1. Very true, I never claimed The Dervishes for D-Block. But I will tell you the people that attack them have some kind of relationship to the colonialists and that the majority of them are from current day Somaliland. I do not ignore the fact though that many of the Dervish leaders were Landers.
  2. Saxib, we all know the Sayyid had many haters, especially from British Somaliland, people that used to whore themselves out to the British and joined the Somaliland Camel Corpse, now their descendants are online and bragging about serving the British while insulting one of Somalia's national heroes. Read the following quote and go back dreaming about the days the British used to smile at you and pat you on the head like a horse. The Dervish state (Somali: Dawlada Daraawiish, Arabic: دولة الدراويش‎) was an early 20th-century Somali Sunni Islamic state that was established by Muhammad Abdullah Hassan, a religious leader who gathered Somali soldiers from across the Horn of Africa and united them into a loyal army known as the Dervishes. This Dervish army enabled Hassan to carve out a powerful state through conquest of lands claimed by the Somali Sultans, the Ethiopians and the European powers. The Dervish State acquired renown in the Islamic and Western worlds due to its resistance against the European empires of Britain and Italy. The Dervish forces successfully repulsed the British Empire in four military expeditions, and forced it to retreat to the coastal region. [1] As a result of its fame in the Middle East and Europe, the Dervish State was recognized as an ally by the Ottoman Empire and the German Empire .[2][3] It also succeeded at outliving the Scramble for Africa, and remained throughout World War I the only independent Muslim power on the continent .[4] After a quarter of a century of holding the British at bay, the Dervishes were finally defeated in 1920, when Britain used aeroplanes to bomb the Dervish capital of Taleex. So tell me, you who mock the Sayyid, was this guy and his men a "joke"??
  3. That's only because we have people defending these corrupt thieves with their time and blood, even on this forum. They're not even getting paid for it! Shameless wallahi
  4. Sayid Mohamed Abdullah Hassan ("The Mad Mullah") wrote a letter to the British Commissioner at Berbera: 'You have aligned with all the wastrels of the world because you are weak. This alliance of yours, with Sikhs and Burmese and Moors and Egyptians and Americans and Nubians and Serbs and Arabs and Indians and Russians. We stand on our own, independent and free. But because you are weak, you must solicit, as does a prostitute.' compare that today where we have Norwegians paying for our salaries and Kenyand And Ugandans "protecting" the streets. Where we can't have a single ceremony, a single hospital opened, or a single school built without having some UN cadaan qurun. Or having Turks standing over us with their Turkish flags raised high.
  5. The only people denying it are from his click. Same with AY.
  6. Then the SFG should be less focused on tribal stuff. So secure Xamar so that Bantu troops aren't needed instead of talking about Jubbaland 24/7.
  7. You have to understand that the only reason there's corruption is because of people like malistar that will protect their uncle's reputation no matter what. If this was Abdullahi Yusuf they would be checking how much his shoes cost and where he got the money from.
  8. Definitions of an occupied country, you have Bantus running the streets and Europeans running the government buildings.
  9. Go check out their twitter: https://twitter.com/HAGSomalia
  10. What qabeel do you think you're from? They'll keep you for 3 months max. lol.

Hobbesian_Brute;976641 wrote: why are you demonizing the HAG in every post ?? you claim to be a devout muslim but your always back biting. your from kilinka 5'aad you don't even have border with these people. where is your antagonism and deep antipathy toward these people coming from ? HAG = not a tribe. HAG = H (tribe name) Action Group. They are a group of people that are trying to make it so that one tribe rules over Somalia. I have no problems what's so ever with the normal people. An example would be how they're so fixated on Jubbaland while Shabab is running around and even control a whole city! (Barawe). After Shabab left Mogadishu it was time for us to rebuild our country but they brought us back to square zero, the original problem. Qabeelism.
  12. Is it a fact that Somaliland has oil? I thought these companies were there to see if they did?
  13. Bluelicious;976632 wrote: I agree. These buildings look much better. Where is this? Are these past or current pictures? They are from our neighbors down south. Mombasa, Lamu, Malinidi (Kenya) and Zanzibar (Tanzania). It strongly shows their heritage and history - something lacking in our buildings even though our history is greater than theirs. Because we along with the Turks saved their asses Over the next several decades Somali-Portuguese tensions would remain high and the increased contact between Somali sailors and Ottoman corsairs worried the Portuguese who sent a punitive expedition against Mogadishu under João de Sepúlveda, which was unsuccessful.[34] Ottoman-Somali cooperation against the Portuguese in the Indian Ocean reached a high point in the 1580s when ******** clients of the Somali coastal cities began to sympathize with the Arabs and Swahilis under Portuguese rule and sent an envoy to the Turkish corsair Mir Ali Bey for a joint expedition against the Portuguese. He agreed and was joined by a Somali fleet, which began attacking Portuguese colonies in Southeast Africa.[35] The Somali-Ottoman offensive managed to drive out the Portuguese from several important cities such as Pate, Mombasa and Kilwa. However, the Portuguese governor sent envoys to Portuguese India requesting a large Portuguese fleet. This request was answered and it reversed the previous offensive of the Muslims into one of defense. The Portuguese armada managed to re-take most of the lost cities and began punishing their leaders, but they refrained from attacking Mogadishu.[36] Throughout the 16th and 17th centuries successive Somali Sultans defied the Portuguese economic monopoly in the Indian Ocean by employing a new coinage which followed the Ottoman pattern, thus proclaiming an attitude of economic independence in regard to the Portuguese.[37]

  16. nuune;976605 wrote: What are you trying to prove, that Jigjiga is more greener than Beledweyne, that is very sad comparison, go read your home work and leave the south alone! I'm not trying to "prove" anything. Stop being paranoid. I have just as much rights on the south as any HAGGER.
  17. Why ban me for posting this? Is this clan hatred? Isn't my clan also residing in the south? [Jubbaland]. Some people here want to live in a bubble and think any post by a Lander/Puntlander/OG is some kind of plot against HAG-Kingdom.
  18. Even the North needs to jump on. Go for a Somali look rather than trying to be *new* cause it will never look modern unless it becomes like Dubai but we can create majestic sights. It's not just large buildings but small things such as doors, windows etc. Look at old day Bosaso: You have to work with what you have the South needs to have that tropical feeling with white buildings - palm trees. etc. The north would have more of an Arabian feeling.
  19. *ANWAR*;976519 wrote: Mad-Mullah you have to go down to Mogadishu ASAP and try out as city architect!! We have to stop the qurba joogta with their ugly bland buildings. They are ruining our heritage.
  20. ^ a lot of people need reality. They need to look at other countries and SEE what's happening there. Iraq: 800 people got killed in ONE MONTH. We need to make them like Hezbollah and Hamas and not Al-Qaeda. All the Bantu forces couldn't stop them you think some skinny Faraxs fresh from the refugee camps can??
  21. Shabab changed strategies, first it was army vs army fighting street for street, now they infiltrate police, go to government buildings and blow themselves up.
  22. Strolling through Merca/Barawe: Off to Jumca Let's take a boat ride
  23. Imagine saying you're going Xamar/Kismayo for the summer.
