LazieG, it's natural that the media focuses on the side with most power. In this case the Ethiopians and TFG have the ability to withold food, imprison thousands of people and it is the Ethiopians that have inflicted the most deaths on Somali Civilians! It's the same reasons why the Newy York Times and other agencies don't focus on crimes alleged against the ONLF! More importantly, this entity is funded by Western Government and taxpayers. Focusing on the ICU and it's allies was beyond the scope of the this documentary, which was admittedly rather biased. Also, there was an an audio documentary( from the BBC) entitled, " inside the SOmali InsurgencY", which I posted on the Politics section. I believe it might be the same presenter of this documentary. He interviews people who accuse Alshabaab of killing their relatives, etc.

^^lol, I see you're giving the seccesionist followers a hard time these days! Mujahideen means those who strive/struggle for the for the deen of Al-Islam. Technically, every Muslim is a mujahid/mujihada. One has to struggle with the lowly desires and the whisperings of Shaytan, in order that one may fully submit and regulate his heart and actions with what Allah, the Almighty, has regulated and forbidden! One also struggles against the environment around them and everythig that calls to submission/following for other than Allah and his Prophet( saw). This means struggling against oppression, tyranny and othe injustices commited by other human beings, if one has the capacity to do so. If a person is a tribalist, then he can't really perform the pshyical-armed Jihad, since He hasn't overcome and fought the battles raging within his own heart: to remove un-islamic ideologies and desires from his heart/actions! In the context of the SNM, they don't really fit the classical context of Mujahideen, since they were struggling for a clanish and/or secular rebellion to remove another secular entity. The least that can be said is that they were( perhaps) fighting against tryanny an defending their homes, for which in certain cases a Muslim is allowed to defend himself against a person attacking his property/livelihood. Even the attack of the religous movement,Alitixaad, on Puntland wasn't considered a Jihad by some Ulema! Though, I gather Mujahideen is being used in a slightly different contenxt by the above users( to denote an ethnic-secular-nationalistic victory), as opposed to a victory of Islam!

Clearly,Eritrea has her interests! But I don't see how Eritrea is too blame for the division that has appeared. Courts and the alliance are divided on the issue not because of Eritrea, but because of their own political differences. Of course, Eritrea happens to side with the group that opposes talks. Keeping Ethiopians in Somalia is advantageous for her own interests. Still, though, the division exists because Sheikh Shariff and others want to have direct talks( eve though they have a funny of saying it), whilst others do not. And how does this latest move heal the divisions within that group? Waa Cajiib!
