  1. It's not indeed impossible for an individual from any region in Somalia to sympathise with cause of group X. But I Would have thought that: Groups advocating return of the "Caliphate" and groups advocating for a state based on colonial borders are contradictory positions? A group advocating partioning a Muslim country based on Western Borders(colonial legacy) and groups that seek to destroy all these borders hold somewhat contradictory, no? Promoting democracy, Secularism and whatnot, is grossly in contradiction to groups that promote, " Allah's law",etc,? A group that wants a healthy/brotherly relationship( including arresting poor SOmalis and leasing ports to their interogators) with neighbours(Ethiopia) and groups that are opposed to all things Ethiopian inside Somalia( which seccesionist believe is a different country)! These not contradcitory positions? Groups wanting all foreign troops out Muslims land and a group who's leader and elites call for Uncle Sam to set up bases to fight " terrorism", not contradictory positions? There are plenty more contradictions...which I could have listed! So it's a not case of seccesionists not being able to speak about Somalia. Since, to me, seccesionist doesn't mean a clan/ specific regions. I know there are plenty of Northerners who don't hold this ideology. Seccesonism is an ideology(summarised by some of the points I made above), saxiib, one which is grossly opposed to the folks struggling South of SOmalia! Unless one believes Alshabaab and the likes are fighting to rejoin the commonwealth-phate!
  2. I don't think there are any seccesionists in Dhusamareeb
  3. quote:Somaliland has more in common with the opposition in Southern Somalia, then they have with the xaraam entity that you are legimizing over us. with the xaraam entity that you are legimizing over us. Somaliland wouldn't have any problems at all in working out something with them. Somaliland admin is more closer to the TFG than you would think, saxiib! Remember, they(SL admin) are fighting the "terrorists" too and handing over poor Somalis accused of being ONLF! If Alshabaab or their allies would ever march anywhere near Somaliland, don't be suprised if you saw Riyaale calling Adiss Ababa or Yankees for some help
  4. ^^Recolate is a very "pad" term for what Xabashis did with the TFG in Muqdisho! Recolate is something you do when you move house from New York to LA. In the case of Muqdisho, Mr Yusuf helped relocate(thanks to Habashi Tanks) 2 million people and declared their own fault, because they had "insurgents" in their neighbourhoods!
  5. ^^Because that's what Ibrahim Demoqaradi Lincoln would do! @bokero, why would a state( or an entity ) that has declared itself independent some 18 years ago decide to hold a referendum( on the very same issue) ? Weli maan fahmin! The "elites" would argue the "people" have already decided to seperate. A case of democracy triumphing they would say! And, with regards to Somali warlords, you and I know both know that they have their supporters( from the Somali clan network and the international community). Remember the warlord who use was arrested in Sweden? BG
  6. I dont understand why it's impossible for Xabashi soldiers! If anything, the promise of UN troops and the preservation of the TFG is a gain for them, as much as anybody else. The opposite to that would be SOmalia being taken over by you know who, and the TFG being over-run! ps. nuff talk bout the Djibouti agreement these days!
  7. quote: appreciate Sharif’s good sense of judgment when the Ethiopians are made to withdraw with a single stroke of pen--- a feat sheer bravery would hardly achieve. You and I know that the bullet made the Ethiopians negotiate a withdrawal in the first place. Remember, they(US) exiled Shariff, declared him a snich, turned extremist. So, in large HE owes the legitimacy in negotiating this settlement to the armed men. Granted that diplomacy and military endeavours go hand in hand, but to say Shariff expelled Ethiopians with the stroke of the pen is taking a bit too far. p.s maxa ku dhacay Bokeros proposals
  8. I tell ya that keep is a lucky Turk. One minute, he was thinking about being the villan and loser; next minute, he's a hero!
  9. I like how you post articles and then put your own misleading titles and interpretations on them.
  10. http://kalamullah.com/Books/Madarij-us-Salikeen.pdf quote:The reality of tawbah is to return to Allah is not sound or complete without the knowledge of the Lord's names and attributes and their manifestations within Himself and in the world. The repenting servant should know that he was running away from his Lord, captured in the grip of his enemy. He didn't fall into the claws of his enemy except as a result of his ignorance of his Lord and his daring to go against Him. He should know how and when he became ignorant, and how and when he was captured. He should believe that tawbah requires great determination and complete awareness to rescue himself from the enemy and be able to return and run back, to his Lord Ar-Rahman Ar- Rahim. He should realise that returning to his Lord is actually turning away from the road of destruction, where his enemy had taken him. He should know the number of steps taken away from his Lord and the efforts and obstacles that he must strongly work on to get back to the Straight Path.
  11. ^^I thought u were gonna say manta muqmad iyo hilib baa lo geyey?
  12. ^^ AL Shabaab is not the only group that hasn't been invited to this deal! In any case, I think he's referring more to the ARS and military wings of the ICU,as Alshabaab has even distanced themselves from the ARS. It's pretty much impossible to bring them in the current process, as they have labeled the ARS as heretics(the secular folks) and qowmiyeen! And I don't think there is anything( right know) that can persuade that youthful mujahideen group to join any "peace process", save announcing the return of the Caliphate, The equation is more of Shariff convincing the mainstream of the ICU and ARS to join his caravan! Those are the men that can't easily be dismissed as unreasonable "warmongers". waits for Sophist
  13. @Nepthts, the man is not on his deathbed! u should watch it........
  14. I don't about that particular man changing the "terror policy", but this what mr Abdallah said a few days ago : quote:All Somali parties have initialled the agreement except two individuals who are regarded as terrorists by the UN Security Council and the Americans," ps. Shirwa Jama= Sophist?
