  1. The point bro, I think the Imam is challenging the notion that: 1. Obama is the "lesser of the two evils" for Muslims, from a Shariah perspective. 2. Obama will over-turn the war on terror legislation and policies. He does have a point, if you consider what Obama said about Palestine, the Pakistan province and his recent choosing of a prominent zionist.

Ngonge, what about a group of "muslims" who believe that Imams are on the same level, or even superior to prophets: quote:To prove that government and authority belong to the Imām (‘a) is not to imply that the Imām (‘a) has no spiritual status. The Imām (‘a) does indeed possess certain spiritual dimensions that are unconnected with their function as a ruler. The spiritual status of the Imām (‘a) is a universal divine viceregency that is sometimes mentioned by the Imāms (‘a). It is a viceregency pertaining to the whole of creation, by virtue of which all the atoms in the universe humble themselves before the holder of authority. It is one of the essential beliefs of our Shī‘i school that no one can attain the spiritual status of the Imāms, not even the cherubim or the prophets .[106] In fact, according to the traditions that have been handed down to us, the Most Noble Messenger and the Imāms (‘a) existed before the creation of the world in the form of lights situated beneath the divine throne; they were superior to other men even in the sperm from which they grow and in their physical composition.[107] Their exalted station is limited only by the divine will, as indicated by the saying of Jibrā’īl (‘a) recorded in the traditions on the mi‘rāj: “Were I to draw closer by as much as the breadth of a finger, surely I would burn.”[108] The Prophet (s) himself said: “We have states with God that are beyond the reach of the cherubim and the prophets.”[109] It is a part of our belief that the Imāms too enjoy similar states, before the question of government even arises. For example, Fātimah (‘a) also possessed these states, even though she was not a ruler, a judge, or a governor.[110] footnote of the website:The “governance” (vilāyat) of the Imāms is intrinsic to their persons, unlike that of the fuqahā; moreover, its scope is not limited to men but embraces the whole of creation. They therefore exercise “cosmic governance” (vilāyat-i takvīnī), in part through the performance of miracles. This form of vilāyat is common to the Imāms and to the foremost of the prophets, who exercised a governmental function while also propagating a divine message. The statement here that “no one can attain the spiritual status of the Imāms, not even the cherubim or the prophets” thus carries the strict sense that the Imāms are superior to those prophets whose mission lacked the dimension of governmental leadership. 4. Kashafa, Turki is part of an extreme(i don't say that in the gaalo sense) fringe group. There is much xamas in his words, but little wisdom. In any case, where are you going with this one? Sheikh is a traitor. Sheikh is out of the fold of Islam? Sheikh should be fought like Xabashis and warlords? I know that is what some sicko people will say. Don't tell me you subscribe to that view.

  10. A@T what about Nader Dee? wa walaken Carab Lebanse.heh Seriously, AT, I understand and appreciate what Obama has achieved. However, i'm just against this over exaggerated mass mania and frenzy from faraxz and xalimos, which believes that Obama will suddenly change the entire course of US foreign policy or that he will make the world a better place. Why? because he is black and the man promises change. Truth be told, Obama's politics doesn't vastly differ from the what we have been used to, particularly in terms of foreign policy and the US relationship with the Israel lobby. As one African AMerican brother told us: it's more about the system than the faces. Roobleh, anyone who doesn't doubt the ability of Obama to bring change and political stability is a complete bafoon and clown, in my humble opinion. Also, people who normally go against the mass frenzy think outside the box, as opposed to masses who blindly follow and cheerlead. Obama hasn't even intiated one policy yet, and the man has only been in the job one day. How on earth are you certain that he will bring change and stability? Yes, he has promised change, spent alot of money and the man is a reasonble orator, but there is no evidence to suggest that he will bring stability and change. The only way we will know is in a couple of years down the line, that is, unless your have the ability to predict the future? ya? Though, I don't think that Obama has to even do a great amount of work to better the neo-con experiment. Lest I sound like a hater: congratulations ya ibn Zwahili Farax Obama
  11. quote:Mr.Riyalle, for several years I have been in telepathic communication with you, and you owe me an old favour due to pay. During that period I had tried my best to act as your guardian angel. I had felt your joys as well as your pain. Your anguish and your happiness. But you have proved yourself as an obstinate difficult child. Lord save the internet. Chill out Son:

  16. @Ibtisam, if SL declares a day to celebrate James Bond or Tiger Woods. JB would come on the forum and say: " this is what other countries do you know, James Bond is a good film which needs to be remembered and when we get indepence we will make golf our nationa sport. JB, I don't SPain or Indonesia or Sacudi declared national days when Alqaeda attacked them, or even Turkey, when Kurdish separastists attacked them. I think it just more of the politician trying to create outside enemies and myths to increase nationalism.
