^^ Thanks for the advise, but I didn't ask for charity or morality ratings from anyone. And I would advise you in return: please, please, please.......do not put words in my mouth. There is a great difference between what I wrote and what you attributed to me. @Blessed, there are certain individuals who go out of their way to prove that "Somaliland" is heaven on earth, whilst the rest of Somalia/Puntland is plagued by terrorism, tribalism, war and hunger. The reason they do it is because they simply believe highlighting negative stories from Somalia and constantly regurgitating the notion that SOmalis can't unite will enhance their recongition from the world. They know who they are. I am not particularly bothered by that( free cyber world). But what got me today was how JB came strutting in with a rhetorical question, which he had already answered for himself and served a political purpose. PS. my fam is not from the south.

quote:Ethiopians were still in Baidoba and Bakool and we dont see suicide operations in highly dense districts in Baidoba, now do we? yes we have. But I don't see your point. Marna you talk about civil society, pragmatism, recovery; and then you jump to qabilist conspiracy theories. At least critque shababs ideology, don't hide behind the excuse of some of their leaders being from other regions.

Show me something. Proof it if they can do so. Thus I am right, your rhetorical question was merely designed to say the above. if you already have the answer maxad naga weydin marka?

Sxb, I know you believe that a continuation of the violence in Somalia enhances Somalilands bid for recognition. So, don't hide behind fancy rhetorical questions. JUST say it like this: Southern Somalis are incapable of sorting out their differences, whilst Somaliland, aka Seattle, can. oright? don't jump the gun on me sxb ,,,,, You said AMISOM should let somalis settle their differences ,, and i'm asking a simple question why they didn't do that before AMISOM ?? ,, Your anger against SL should not be brought here. SXB, I don't have any anger towards Somaliland; it is my land too. Your objective in every discussion is to point point out the negative situation in the SOuth/PL, in order to enhance Somaliland's case. Hence you asked that question( because you want to imply Somalis can't sort of their differences regardless). When I say Aminsom should leave Somalis to sort out their differnces, it doesn't mean that Somalis sorted out their differences in the past or that they will magically do it in the future. What I am saying is that they should simply be given a chance. The use of Ethiopians and Ugandan heavy weaponry causes more damage to life than in any war between Somali militias in the past 18 years.

Where have you been sxb? all of those groups except the first want to continue fighting Amnisom troops. The war will excerbate so long as they stay, so the African troops should go home and let Somalis sort out their differences. Also your last sentence sounds like a qabilist slip of the tongue?

Peace caravan v1.3: absorbing alshabaab peacefully in Sharif’s Somalia.

Originally posted by NGONGE: ^^ Come on now, T. Take those blinkers off and revist history. Does 'negotiation' include wearing camouflage and waving a kalashnikov? lol..... and these brothers are accusing me of rewriting history. Everybody knows our brother called on all Somalis to wage war against Ethiopians troops way before an attack was made on Badiao. Furthermore, our brother claimed that any foreign troops, including other Africans, would be seen as invaders too. WHat changed today and how is it Islamic to call for more African brothers and be protected by aminisom tanks? Today he backtracked on that position and many other aqeedah positions on Somalia, which is why the resistance groups reject his deal, not because of any of the points xiin drew up. Check this video out: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=56inxN-eF3o&feature= related @Thierry, here are the latest achievements of your African AMinisom brothers: http://www.worldbulletin.net/news_detail.php?id=34 403 http://allafrica.com/stories/200808250518.html -

^^calm down sxb, I didn't insult your ancestors and I never blamed Somalis as a collective for slavery. When one says Arabs took part in slavery does that mean every Arab born since time began is being convicted of the guilt of slavery? When one says whites took part in slavery does it mean that your are blaming every white on earth for slavery? Does saying Americans attacked pearl harbour or whites enslaved blacks in America implicate every person in those cateregories? I don't think so! Thus, once again, you are seeking to defend SOmalis when they are not being attacked nor defamed. Secondly, in my first post I alluded to the fact that some of the ancestors of black Iraqis were enslaved people from SOuthern Eastern African tribes such as the Zanja, who were historically close to the Southern SOmali peninsula. Al Jahiz, the famous Black-Iraqi scholar, in his treatise defending blacks said his people were originally from that region and indentified himself with the Zanja group. Similarly, SOmali Bantus, also trace their origins to the South Eastern tribes. Thus, Somalis did not enslave one another, but they brought and enslaved people from South East, as well as some Oromos; and later on these people were absorbed into the Somali culture with names such as Somali Bantu, Gosha and deragotory names such as Jareer and Adoon. Perhaps, it would be more appropriate to use the term " some SOmalis" did this, if that makes you happy. As for providing evidence, type in the words "SOmali Bantu" on adeer google and read where they came from and what they say about their own history. -

A bit too late for all that. I suspect shababs and the other armed groups wouldn't want anything to do with 4.5 clan formula, joining somali warlords and sitting under the shade of foreign African tanks; the very things Sheikh Shariff sent so many young Somalis to die and fight against in 2006. -
steady on bro.......Ginola was decent but he was no near Ronaldo, or at least what Ronaldo achieved in domestic, european and world football. Ginola never lived up to his potential. Perhaps you are promoting the likes of maradonna, hagi and madonna because that is the generation you grew up watching. Ronalado is one of teh greatest players in the last 10-15 years, just for his raw skill in attackign defenders.

^^Ibtisam, it is not a rumour. Where do you think SOmali Bantu came from? South East Africa, no?ps. you become all radical marzlem eh, whats with the cimamad avatar? ME; I never said Somalis enslaved other Somalis. Read what I said and make sense of it. People who were from SOuth East Africa were shipped to Somalia, the Arab world and even India. Somalis took part in that slave trade. Also, I never become angry that you posted a picture supposedly showing SOmalis carrying colonials. I was critiquing the caption which was attached to it, which had clear tribal connotations. -

Some of their ancestors(the zanja of south-east africa) apparently sOMALI iyo Carab/others ba adonsatey. Hence why you have SOmali Bantus in SOmalia. -

Your question are best put to that organisation themselves. If Nur gives you a rosy answer it still won't change the fact that the particular action would carried out.

So for how long are we in PL going to wait for those people of south??
Fabregas replied to inspector22's topic in Politics
Puntland, Somaliland and all the other elvis pressley lands are merely binary distinctions, based upon ancient tribal myths and hatreds, which only exist in the minds of a few regionalists/tribal politicians and their brainswashed followers. The pseudo natioanlitic leaders( tribalists) want to control the resources of a region and get rich from that process, whilst enjoining the titles of president and minster in a small area. Hence why we see declaring regions or states has become a lucarative business in Somalia over the last 10 years. Soon, the day will come when every sub clan declares its own state. The first step in curing yourself of such diseases is to change your mode of thinking: think Muslim, Somali, then region. Do not think: region/fruitcake lander, enemy, Muslim, then SOmali person. As the world becomes more global and comsmpolitan, what is needed is more trade, greater mobislisation of SOmali across different Somali regions and gathering research into what unites the SOmali population, as opposes what seperates them. Remember SOutherner and Puntlander, Somalilander, does not actually exist pshyically; it is merely a creation of the imagination. Not one person can up with a definition of a Somalilander, whilst Puntlander is simply a short hand reference for a clan name. In conclusion, the new generation of Somalis should not adopt the stone age mentality of our ancestors and father, they only saw the world as consisting of a set of enclosed rival villages, who fought brutal wars over economic and political hegemony. This has no place in the modern world. I have a dream that one day all sOMALI people will hold hands and Jacalybro will be the president with Rudy as prime minister. Amen to that.
