"For 12 days we had no food, even for some of the women who were pregnant and the little children among us." A merciful Somali woman who lived by the airport would come on different occasions to the battered cell to give them a bowl of spaghetti and a jar of water to share. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/6542719.stm We are ashamed at the treatement of our sisters and we feel saddened by it. We feel ashamed at the strength and honour of our sister in campaigning against this attrocity that was commited against her. At a time when so many of our men are scared to speak simple words. We make duas and our tears flow for our sisters, they will stay in our memories for ever . May Allah save them and grant them peace!Amiin. May allah bless our sister, who came to feed these poor souls, surely she makes us ashamed too!

Originally posted by Samurai Warrior: Gavin – do not be hoodwinked by the constant hostile and far-fetched wishful desires of the Fish and Chips generation stranded in the cold in North America and Western Europe. What fish and chips generationa are you referring to? Gavin suggested that "an anarchic system" would be the best system for Somalia. Clearly, we do not believe that this would be system. Rather than adressing the rights and wrongs of his political ideals for Somalia, you have gone of on a semi rant against the implementation of the shariah! Majority of Somalis in Somalia [sic], and this is by extension a generalised estimate on my part would prefer a Federal system of governance very close to that of the US which extends autonomy to the district level: Somalia is not the U..S.A.Matter of fact Somalia is not even Ethiopia. Secondly, this federlisation that you and other so wonderfully describe, is nothing short a tribal federation of Somalia. In which all Somali dsitricts, states and political seats are divided up into tribal lines. Somalis are not divided into state or territorial lines rather tribal groups. How would the federal Somalia solve the problem of places like Ceerigabo, Kismayo and several other places claimed by different sub clans?Furthermore, how do you solve the problem of the independent sub states in Somalia such as Puntland and Somaliland? Puntland behaves as a defacto state within Somalia and Somaliland behaves as if it is completely independent. As i said before a federal Somalia= a Somalia divided along tribal semi states! the model from which the current TFG has been moulded with its warps and all. Panacea not, but wholly not egregious! A 4.5 formula, in which an entire group of people have been classified as worth half of their other citizens.

We know what anarchy is and it has left us scattered around the world like the Israelites. Of course there are some benefits such as: low telecommunication, some political freedom and free market orientated business. However, if you do not have an effective strong government, which takes care of: health, education, define etc.... Then you will become prey upon yourself and other neighbouring states who will take advantage of this situation, hence, why Somalia is under occupation today by Ethiopian forces. If you want to live in political anarchy, remember that somebody else will come and rule you!
-
Something tells me, you desire a "true political anarchy" for Somalia no?
-
The people who do not want a government in Somalia are warlords, who have raped our contry for the last 16 years. We currently have a functioning Government, but it is been installed by American warlord George W Bush and Meles Zenawi. Therefore, all Somalis want a government, but no one that is guarded or installed by Foreign powers. There are also functioning adminstrations in the Northwest and eastern part of the country. In other words Somalia is not ruled by "anarcho capitalism, nor do we desire it to be. We want functioning Governments and insititutions like the rest of the world.....

@ the one and only, Ahmad Thompson says that most of the Islamic Banks are not really Islamic, because they work with paper notes, which are themselves based on unislamic paper currency. You should read "The Return of the Gold Dinar, though, i haven't read it myself.

Quote:Secular Education comes first, then Obedience to Allah comes second So what? You live in a western society were you indulge in riba and constant unislamic taxes! Some of these taxes probably go to fund wars against Muslims. In fact if you really obeyed your lord, you would have migrated from the West! That is, if you live in the West!

What's the odds for General Duke puting a Somaliland flag on his car?

Terrorism could mean innoncent people who are captured and then put into Hargeysa jails just because they hail from a particular clan or say something against Ethiopia, or having a rather long beard! Quote: Twenty-nine elders of the Ogden clan from Ethiopia who had been detained in November 2003 and convicted of armed conspiracy as alleged members of the ****** National Liberation Front (ONLF), which was in conflict with the Ethiopian government, were acquitted on appeal by the Supreme Court in 2005. However, they remained in detention in poor health in Hargeisa prison where two died in late 2005.

Timacadeh, am not talking about the public or people on sol. I know people from Burco etc went to fight against the habashis and many others felt agreived. However, one cannot deny Islamic Courts was against the general interests of Somaliland at large. Alitixaad and O.N.L.F are two of the biggest security dangers facing Somaliland. Wasn't Riyaale summoned to Adiss Ababa alongside Abdullahi Yusuf? Economic collaboration with Ethiopia is not a problem. What is a problem is the collaboration of; detaining and combating suspected Somali "terrorists" and labeling them as "o.n.l.f/altixad", in order to do the dirty work of Ethiopians.

Ismaciil Hurreh Buba to run for President of Somaliland?
Fabregas replied to Ex-Xisbiga's topic in Politics
Saxib, many people have been crossing sides from Somaliland to Puntland to Somaliweyn to supporting Somaliland etc.....Dadkani ka ma fakaran dad iyo dal toona, wa meeshi ay wax ka soo gala ku arkan un! Odaygan Buuba anigu wax weyn ba uma haysto, bal waligi muxuu dad iyo dal u qabtay? -
Meeshi dhir caqaran kaso baxdo buu u daq tagey!

What do you mean liberal government? If you were to set up a shop in Somalia and attempt to sell alcohol, you will certainly be arrested and that majority of the people will disapprove of your actions. These isn't the case in many Islamic/Muslims states.

Maxa ku dhacay democradiyadi, ninka miyan la ogaleyn in uu yesho fikrad gar ah? -
Abdullahi Yusuf criticised the U.S for supporting warlords, but became the new best friend to combat the wadaads!
-
Somaliland and Ethiopia have long being collaborating to share intelligence on combating supposed terrorists eg. Alitixaad and O.N.L.F. It was a secret blessing to Somaliland that one of it's biggest threats( Islamic Courts) were ousted and know they are hoping Abdullahi Yusuf is ousted! Somalilanders are also "allegedly" in debt to Ethiopia for giving them refuge during the S.N.M days.

Quote:Sxb Ubahane think of it, it is a good suggestion, stop the bloodshed immidiately by putting down the weapons and accepting a truce whereby you agree to never ever attack government institutions again nor our allies the Ethiopians or our friend from the AU Peace mission, the Amisom troops. Saxib, this is completely unacceptable to the people, clans and wadaads who have grievances. As i said before some people clearly do not want to lay down their weapons, given the presence of heavily armed Ethiopian and troops and other alleged clan militias they deem as hostile to them! You can't tell grown men, to simply give all their weapons to you, whilst you and your friends are armed to the teeth, especially in a clan orientated semi paranoid society in Somalia!
