  1. The Zionist and Ethiopian loving warlords and their clan militias and the Tigrays are not above criticism. The reason why Somalis in such a state is because you have grown *** man who cant condemn their clan militias and clan warlords for what they are. They believe if they expose them it is somewhow an attack on their clan. Call a tuug a tuug when you see one!
  2. Update:More red cimaamads were spotted in Somalia, so more Ethiopians are coming.

  4. They are not in control. It sum subclan who had beef and they are the ones who are apparently in charge. The Somaliland militia is still outside of town, as my sources tell me and apparently Puntland militia also left.
  5. You will probably see various civil wars between the Sunni Militias and the Shia milita between themselves themselves, which already starting to happen in various places. And some of the sunni tribes have cleverly used the Alqaeda ultra Wahabis and the American powers against each other. They allied themselves with Alqaeda in Iraq to counter the threat of the Shia and American onslaught and know they are using the Americans for their alleged fight against Alqaeda in Iraq.
  6. Wadaad and Waranle is not akin to secularism. It was the rule of spiritual religous slash clan leaders who swayed power by controlling large numbers of Waranles. If the Wadaad would call a Jihad or war against others the Waranles would obey him. This system was used very well by the Imam Ahmad Gurey when he embarked on his war with the Abysnians during the middle Ages. Each clan brought their thousands of Waranles to join the Jihad of Imam Ahmad Gurey. Thus I fail to see the comparisons between this system and the western secular system. Secondly, the notion that political Islam and Shariah was alien to Somalis is a myth created by Western colonialist and their allies. Somalis have always had a spirit of armed struggle or pshycial Jihad and normally settled their disputes using a combination of Somali and Islamic laws. quote:So for you Geel Jire the difference which compels you to support some and bad mouth others is "You forgot General Gabre and his Ethiopian Tanks!"? Yes it is as simple as that Ethiopian or more precisely Abysnia which has always been intent on occupying and controlling the territories of Eritrea, Somalia and other groups in the Horn of Africa. The same troops that already occupied the Somali region known as the ****** brought their tanks to the historic Somali Capital. I have never heard of Eritrea killing thousands of Somalis nor have I heard of her claiming Somali territories as part of theirs. We did not have the 1977 war with Eritrea. Infact Eritrea and Somalia have a common heritage of defending themselves against the expansionist Ethiopians. By of these states were claimed by historical Ethiopian leaders as belonging to greater Ethiopia. Thus history tells me which side to root for, not individuals or clan struggles. quote:Haile Sellassie, the ageless personification of imperial dignity, triumphantly returned to Ethiopia from exile. However, events in the ****** took on another dimensions. Haile Sellassie began a relentless campaign for the consolidation of personal power and expansion of the Ethiopian State. He proclaimed, "I have come to restore the independence of my country including Eritrea and Southern Somalia whose people will henceforth dwell under the shade of the Ethiopian flag."5 In a later memorandum to the United Nations, his government proclaimed that prior to the race of the European powers to divide up the Continent of Africa, Ethiopia included an extensive coast line along the Red Sea and Indian Ocean.6

Originally posted by -: Nobody denies the courts brought some semblance of normalcy to the Mogadisho and large swath of the south, but all that was lost simply cuz they fail to understand not all Somalis shared their goals or agreed with their ideoligical stances. Rather try to build a consensus, these men marched young boys into useless just to be slaughtered. Responsible leaders think of the faith of their men and put the nation's need first. Everybody on these forums throws around words like neutrality, consensus, reconciliation and compromise. We are told that the I.C.U made a grand and suicidal mistake when they decided to take the fight to Ethiopian troops on Somali soil. Somehow the I.C.U could have avoided a war those troops, had they compromised for the sake of the nation in this case. However, I have to find any reasonable argument as to how the I.C.U could have indeed avoided and come to a compromise to avoid a war with those invading Ethiopian troops. In this case Mr Guevera believes that the I.C.U sent young men to useless war, in which they were literally slaughtered. Furthermore, they should have avoided this by supposedly reaching a compormise. My Challenge to Mr Guevera and others is to explain how they should have built this so called consensus and avoided a war with the Ethiopians troops. What should the I.C.U have done? Become like Ghandi and carry out marches? Write a letter to Zenawi?Write a letter to Zenawi?Have a cup of tea with the T.F.G gand at Badabo?Write a letter to the Ethiopian parliament whom had authorised a full scale invasion of Somalia?
  8. yeah man the never show farax Muslims...
  9. No so long ago these people were also insurgents fighting the U.S.But apparently the tribes and sheikhs revolted against Wahabi Alqaeda and drove them out of the provinces. So know the very men whom beheaded and maimed American soldiers are labeled as "freedom fighters" including former Baathists and Saddam sympathisers. In others America went to Iraq to fight these evil Sunni Insurgents and Saddam sympathisers, only to realise that they created a new enemy called Alqaeda in Iraq and that after all the Baathists and the Sunni tribes are actually the good guys in this. Many predict the Sunni Tribes they are arming know will turn their guns on other sects and there will a war between those tribes themselves. And that is just another day in Iraq!

  12. quote:What is irritating is that it obscures and suffocates any other serious moral debate. Mullahs (paid and pseudos) will not froth at the mouth at something such as ethical business codes, ethical treatment of the homeless/infirm and so on, at bribery, cheating, price-gouging, lying, and hypocrisy. I suppose as political symbols go, it is natural that it would garner such attention. Those subjects have been discussed on this forum even. Perhaps you are just irritated at zealous young males discussing and lecturing females on their dresscode?

  15. Some women cover their hair and then wear extremely tight trousers..make up etc. So her hair is covered and men stare at her bottom, when she walks on the street. Or you have some that carry a scarf in their bag to use only whilst praying. Hijab and Islamic modesty refers to the covering of the body...but most importantly the spritual conduct of the Muslimah. When the person truly tastes Iman...then they love Allah swt so much that they obeys commands and takes what he reccomends. On the other hand you have people who dress modestly because of societies pressures, but commit all kinds of Dambi. Walahi, I met sum girls in Somalia who said they would throw away their hijabs and clothes.. if they got to the West. A relative of mine was even encouraged to do so...on her way to the U.K. Are they any better or pious then the women in the programme, who said she is waiting to fight the right time?
  16. There are various differences between the two states. Firstly, Eritrea was liberated from the grip of the expansionst Woyanes by mainly Muslims. Eritrea Muslims and Christian are both nationalistic people who reject the claims made on their country by the Woyane.Eritrea is greatful to Somalis for the assistance they offered during their liberation. On the other hand Meles Zenawi is an ungrateful man who is intent on spreading the control of his tribe to Somalia, Afar, Oromo,Ocadenia and Eritrea. Whilst Eritrea is offering a hand to these mentioned groups to free themselves and liberate themselves from the expansionist woyanes. Eritrea knows that if they get a grip on these territories, then they will come fro Eritrea soon and attempt to control that state too. Lastly, Eritrea was built on liberation from the expansionist woyanes..One can clearly see the difference between the two. Ás for Somaliland, my freind do not forget the leaders of the T.F.G, Puntland and Somaliland are all former Ethiopian backed and trained rebels....Some would say their vision for Somalia and Somalia and Somalis is all honey and milk...... other would disagree.....
  17. You shouldnt be worried about Afrewerki controlling Somalis in Asmara, which isnt the case by the way. Perhaps you should more worried about the sons of Menelik and Yohaness controlling and occupying the capital city of the Soomaal for the first time in their history. Or the fact that the whole of Muqidsho is shut down and blockaded when Atto Meles Zenawi arrives. But of course you are entitled to your opinions.

  19. I wonder if the Bin Laden family lost any assets on that day. Since they and other promiment Saudis are very close to the Bush Family and invest a great deal in the American economy?
  20. We might aswell wait for the Mahdi then!
  21. quote:''the ICU'' should have been in Mogadishu right now instead of Asmara and instead be busy with planning a good strategic election campaign for 2009 which would have seen them as guaranteed winners and legitimize their rule even more in the International community's eyes and therefore make them immune from any foreing threats especially those coming from the former prostitute of Siyaad Barre mr Meles Akhi, The I.C.U would still be in power had they became treacherous men and sold out their people. They were told to;accept thousands of Ethiopian troops on Somali soil, withdraw any claims of sympathy or claims over the Somali region and denounce or capture some wanted terrorists. By the time they were a month into power, the entire world including America, Kenya, Ethiopia, Igad,AU the UN and Somali warlords had gathered against them. So they had either two choices to call the people to resistance and make a heroic stand for the world to witness or surrender the very principles they had a made a stand for in the first place. Thus the people went out and bravely fought the illegal invaders bitterly, until they were overcome by superior armoury and techonolgy brought from the axis of evil a.k.a North Korea. The result of this was that for the first time in Somali History our historical enemies, the expansionist Abysnians had occupied the capital of the Soomaal and touched the shores of the Indian Ocean, the very which Menelik had claimed as belonging to his people some 200 or so years ago. We can gossip all day and dwell on who is to blame;Indhacade, Dahir Aweys or the I.C.U? But that is all history, my freind and that is what our enemies want us to focus on, meaningless and trivial clan or individual issues, which do nothing to better our people. What is important is that the Somali people are trying their best to create a united front against the occupiers and traitors. One that includes Ulema, Academics, Politicians and civil society members plus all Somali clans. If we cant agree and support each other on this, then we risk becoming like the Oromo, whom have been made stateless and weak by the expansionist Abysnians. Eritrea is not a perfect ally or state, but it is a country with historical sympathies and ties to the Somali people. She was claimed along with Somalia as been under the throne of Ethiopia by the late Haillesallese. Eritrea is a coutry that is built on freedom and resistance from the expansionst Abysnians. The Oromo, Afar, ******ia and Somalis are all occupied. Thus is it is neccesary that they turn to Eritrea for guidance and assistance on how to free themselves from Zenawi, because Eritrea has the best experience and knowhow in this field. This meeting is one way to achieve to us and raise the general awareness of the calam and Islamic people on the state of Somalia.
  22. Iraq is their war. They had their eyes on Iraq since the 80s. Sadly American taxpayer and poor young Black, Latino and white males have payed the price for their disastrous war. Not to mention the suffering of the poor Iraqis. All this talk of witholding money is designed to make it seem like a war fought in the interests in America, which it never was. quote.Lebanon's total dissolution into five provinces serves as a precendent for the entire Arab world including Egypt, Syria, Iraq and the Arabian peninsula and is already following that track. The dissolution of Syria and Iraq later on into ethnically or religiously unqiue areas such as in Lebanon, is Israel's primary target on the Eastern front in the long run, while the dissolution of the military power of those states serves as the primary short term target quote: Iraq, rich in oil on the one hand and internally torn on the other, is guaranteed as a candidate for Israel's targets. Its dissolution is even more important for us than that of Syria. Iraq is stronger than Syria. In the short run it is Iraqi power which constitutes the greatest threat to Israel. An Iraqi-Iranian war will tear Iraq apart and cause its downfall at home even before it is able to organize a struggle on a wide front against us. Every kind of inter-Arab confrontation will assist us in the short run and will shorten the way to the more important aim of breaking up Iraq into denominations as in Syria and in Lebanon. In Iraq, a division into provinces along ethnic/religious lines as in Syria during Ottoman times is possible. So, three (or more) states will exist around the three major cities: Basra, Baghdad and Mosul, and Shi'ite areas in the south will separate from the Sunni and Kurdish north. It is possible that the present Iranian-Iraqi confrontation will deepen this polarization.15 from Oded Yinon's "A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties" Published by the Association of Arab-American University Graduates, Inc.
