We have had this topic to be Somalia. Being proud means nothing because you have no choice what ethnicity you are born us. You could have be born as Gypsy, a Dalit of India or any other policital and social outcastes of the world. Would you then ask are you proud to be a Dalit, Gypsy? Perhaps the question should be are you proud of what Somalis have achieved or proud of where Somalis are, because being Somali is something you have no choice over.

Its probably a case of low Morale and not knowing what the hell they are doing in Muqdisho. They have tried everything including arresting half of Muqdisho and even raising the city to the ground. The point, It wouldn't make practical sense for Arab states to be sypathetic to Asmara groups cause. Perhaps this would have been the case during the case during the cold war and pan arabism era. But today is a completely different game. The Arabs would prefer a Somalia run by the T.F.G and Ethiopia as opposed to one run by Islamists and their allies.
