The notion of an "Arab world" and Pan Arabism was somewhat imagined anyway....As for the article, what i gathered from it was that the author is a descendant of Arabs(who loved them)..But they didn't love him back so he is divorcing(no punt intended) them....... Of course what this article reall meant was that Arab League didn't support their recognition proposal.....but he just had a funny way of saying it......

I think she was the one that claimed Somaliland would send forces to Muqdisho in return for recognition....amongst some other unproven things......

Saxiib, some things are not worth arguing about!

I am not making execuses for anything. It is you that is confusing Alitixaad Al Islamiya with the U.S.C.

They fought with Ethiopian forces both in the Ocaden and inside the republic of Somalia!

The strange thing about 9/11 is that we are led to believe some "extreme Mazlem radicals", who were busy screwing western women, drinking at clubs and bathing naked on beaches allegedly blew themselves up because they were "Mazlem radicals" who hated the "western way of life". Then, we are told one of them left a letter which started with the "Islamic" words " in the name of my family". What Muslim begins a letter like this? Allahu Yaclam. But no doubt if it wasn't for poor Iraqis we would see American Tanks in Damascus, Tehran and beyond(as originally planned)!

Originally posted by Seekknowledge: [QB]What is wrong with a big GARBASAAR? Get it garbaha saaro oo qari that's the meaning. Nothing is wrong with Garbarsaar. But you have to ask the ladies why they(if) they prefer garabsaar over the so called "tent"

lolll I remember the story of the Somali Garaad who recited the 114(in tribute to the quran) verses poetry with his enemies at a bottom of a traditional tree, whilst his allies and troops were sorrounding the areas ready to invade. Of course the 114 was designed to decieve his enemies and bide time for his fighters to reach the destination....

So according to you: 1. Ethiopia never sent his troops to combat Alitixaad and colonel Aweys in Somalia in the early 90s ? 2. Alitixaad has no imput or never formed the ideological backbone of the I.C.U?

Here are some of very contradiction in this very thread: quote:The opposition in Asmara's main purpose is to safeguard Eritrea and serve Afewerki's agenda and not entirely for Somalia quote:these Somali men in Asmara have no purpose to serve the Somali interest but that of Afewerki and their bellies... quote:Furthermore, the group in Asmara have no power, control no where and serve different purpose, it's the Alshabaab that's throwing the shots... so if one needs to see the real Somali oppostion group, it's the Alshabaab movement that need to be made peace with and bring them on board... According to this young man the groups in Eritrea is being used by Afreweki to turn Somalis into human shields in his war with Ethiopia. We are told the ultimate purpose of this group is to make somalis fight on behalf of Afreweki, in Muqdisho(against Ethiopia). On the other hand this young man believes the Asmara group has no power whatsoever. Rather it is Alshabab that is calling the shots and these Asmara boys are making empty threats. So which Somalis is Afreweki exactly using to fight Ethiopia? Because Alshabab have disassociated themselves from Asmara by declaring them as negotiating with secular infidels. Surely if the group in Asmara have no power, purpose or control and the Alshabab have disassociated themselves with seculars and infidels alike: this means Afreweki has no buddies or militias in Somalia?

Castro, the funny thing is that the whole narrative has been changed( almost daily) to suit the political agenda of the day. Yesterday Sheikh Shariff and co were part of an evil subclan that was intent on: using the shariah, conquering other Somali clans and their properties to further their subclan. In fact, we were told that the whole purpose of the resistance was to "hold on to looted properties". Furthermore, the resistance was been led by "looters, fake wadaads and warlords" whom all belonged to one Somali subclan. But the moment Sheikh Shariff and co stepped in Asmara, the whole game changed. Now we are told that the whole purpose of the resistance is to serve the interests of Eritrea and they were funded, founded and armed by Eritrea. The whole purpose of the resistance is to engage Ethiopia in war in order to score a point for Afreweki. But hey wait a minute; weren't they solely fighting to hold onto looted properties, avoid taxes and invade other Somali clans? The ever confusing circle of the Abdullahi Yusuf brigade knows no bounds. One day there are no Ethiopians troops in Somalia and they only donated their clothers(what charitable brothers)to Somali troops. What happens the next day? Well,ummm...there are only a few dozen or so Ethiopians to train Somali soldiers. A couple of weeks down the line thousands of Ethiopian troops invade Somalia and we are told that they came to save the Somali government from fake wadaads, clan looters and crazed mullahs. Then, all of a sudden Ethiopian troops are bombarding the historic Somali capital and we are told that this is a clean up operations which last a few weeks. And the story goes on and on......men(eg. Dheere) who were chastised and demonised yesterday as warlords and fakes are turned into heroes by simply smiling or sharing a tea with Abdullahi Yusuf....and men who were paraded(by the Abdullahi Yusuf brigade) as heroes(eg Geedi) and saviours of Somalia are turned into demons and devils....all because they stepped on the old mans foot. Get my drift

You still haven't answered my question: was it Eritrea that founded the I.C.U? Number 2 and more: Have these Somali groups (Alitixaad in particular) not been resisting Ethiopia in the early 90s before they went to Eritrea? Was Ethiopia not sending its troops across the border for even minor Somali conflicts which had nothing to do with Eritrea? Did they not send troops to fight Alitixaad and also help mr Yusuf regain power whe he refused(like the warlord he is) to leave power in Puntland? Did Eritrea play a role in any of these conflicts? Eritrea also funds other groups such as O.N.L.F and O.L.F are these groups also simply fighting for Eritrea or do they have their own interests? Lastly, no Mullah or any other Somali gathered in Asmara has vowed to conquer Adiss Ababa, this is just propoganda.

MOGADISHU. Ethiopian troops killed five young civilians in southern Mogadishu after the soldiers’ truck was hit by a roadside bomb in the turbulent capital, witnesses said yesterday. Four of the youths died instantly after the blast on Tuesday near the Ethiopians’ base in the former Siad military college. Doctors said a fifth died later in hospital from his wounds. "The boys were chatting near the scene, but when they tried to run after the explosion, the Ethiopians shot dead four of them, three of them brothers," said witness Abdulkarim Mohamed Faqey. "They were innocents and we don’t know why they were shot." While the Ethiopian truck sustained damage, witnesses could not say if there had been Ethiopian casualties as the scene was sealed off immediately after the explosion. "I was watching from a distance and I saw Ethiopian forces picking up some soldiers from the partly-destroyed military vehicle," said another witness, Ali Ganey. "I cannot say whether they were dead or wounded." Roadside explosions and gun attacks have intensified in Mogadishu since Somali government troops, backed by Ethiopian forces, quelled an Islamist insurgency in April after months of fighting that left hundreds of civilians dead and hundreds of thousands displaced. Somalia has been without an effective government since the 1991 ouster of dictator Mohamed Siad Barre touched off a bloody power struggle that has defied numerous attempts to restore stability. — AFP.

The PL admin and their associates are trying to use or entice the locals to liberate the very town that their so called army did a runner from. In other words they are trying to cover up the fact that their army is severely incompetent(in every aspect) and they sent many young boys to fight in the war on terror. But I doubt if the locals will buy into the latest round of declarations. They have no other strategy then constantly playin the clan card and scream another clan took their land(which isn't gonna regain their territory back).

Yes faggot is uncalled for and I agree such words shouldn't be used by the grown up. By do you cry when "respected" Somalis such as Sheikh Shariff are called "looters, moryaans and terrorists"? What about when you claimed that the inhabitants an entire city(MOQ) should be sent to the countryside for "DhaqanCelis"?

Didn't they say the same thing about Geedi?
