He just repeated the same things that he said before. But this time he directly gave greetings to Sheikh Osama Bin Laden " xafidullah" as he put it. I think he is signalling his allegiance to the Alqaeda network rather than any Somali authority. He wants to distance himself from the clan insurgents and the secular alliance in Asmara. I mean, he purposely seems to be going against the wishes of Sheikh Shariff by constantly linking himself with the "global Jihad" which is virtually non existant. The Taliban is made of mainly Pashtuns and Pakistanis and the Alqaeda netwrok doesn't have any authority in Afghanistan, they are just guests of the Taliban. In Iraq, the resistance is mainly made up of ordinary Iraqis and they are increasingly getting agitated by Alqaeda in Iraq declaring allegiance to a man who lives in Afghanstan(OBL). In Chechnya, the Arabs were of small number and they had little influence. Most of the Arab Mujahideen were expelled from Bosnia. So all of these struggles in Palestine, Chechnya, Afghanistan and Iraq are essentially local struggles which often take a nationalistic as well an Islamic identity. But of course these Alqaeda ppl want to make out as if they are leading these struggles from their caves in Afghanistan! Oy yeah and he said! 1. There is a historical crusade....not struggle between two nations. 2. Everybody must join the Jihad...not enough to speak from radios, lobby and complain etc....because Ethiopians don't care 3. Ethiopians have lost thus they resorted to massacring innoncents 4.The struggle is for Islam...not nationalistic..tribalism.... And that is about it!

Well, I think he made his declaration clear. He is the front for Alqaeda in Somalia. His seems to be distancing him from Sheikh Shariff and co further and further!

When Muslims struggle they don't choose their targets in terms of nationality or race. Those Somalis footsoldiers who fought alongside the British "Gaalo" are considered them same as them in Islam Shariah! When the British and Somali footsoldiers are trying to kill you, you don't stop and say "i'll leave the Somali alone". No you send him to his grave! If a Somali rapes a women, you don't execuse him because he is SOmalia, rather you apply the shariah to him. Having said that Sayid Muhamad Abdullah Hassan killed innoncents, including the garad of my subclan. And his followers also killed an innoncent Sheikh down South. But still his struggle was immense struggle, which have been well documented by Somalis and other alike!

Your tribal affiliation determines your area code. In Galkayo, there are two networks (with no way to call from one to the other) roughly reflecting the clan division that runs through the town from the south, where cell numbers start with a 4, to the north, where they start with a 7. Dont know whether to laugh this or not!

quote:Yet it turned out that not only was it possible for Somali men not to chew khat, but all the locals I spoke to agreed that it was the first peaceful period in Mogadishu since 1991. Women mentioned that their husbands had even started working in the afternoons. Allahu Akbar!

Originally posted by General Duke: ^^^Adeer I will answer your questions. Yes I mourned the deaths of the Somali's on all sides. They are my people, my kinsmen, my blood. GJ:Well that is been a dishonest to say the least Mr Duke. You and your comrades or the Abdullahi Yusuf brigade celebrated the killing and massacring of the I.C.U fighters, the very ones that you are know claiming as children sent to war! QUOTE]Now answer this. Who paraded women and children with AK47? Who declared war/Jihad on everyone and attacked? Who started to shell from civilian populated areas government positions? The Answer to all that is probably the Alshabab group. The Alshabab group have been reckless in they way they launch attacks from civilian populations.I have criticized the ideology and logic of the Alshabab group many a time. Still though the fact of the matter is that you are still being somewhat dishonest and attempting to sidetrack this discussion. We have on you record as constantly dismissing any civilians killed by the Ethiopians as propoganda or stories made up by the "defeated groups". Infact your cheerleaders on this forum have a developed a habit of rushing to every thread about civilian or humans rights abuses with the infamous slogan " what about the last sixteen years".In fact a certain man started threads claiming that "genocide and ethnic cleansing" was nothing new. If you are true to what you say; show us one instance were you have condemned or disagreed with action taken by the Ethiopian and T.F.G forces since last year? Show us were you have said that one rape, one human rights abuse or one killing of civilians was a barbaric act by the Ethiopians and their allies! And Saxiib, I aint mad! Just don't tell about women and children being used as cannon foder; when Somali women and children were imprisoned by your heroes without food, water or any legal rights and taken to rendition centres as "terrorists".

Nobody is going mad here. I am just pointing some things that you said. This time lasy year give or take some months you claimed that Ethiopians troops weren't in Somalia and it was all a "motivational prank". Some of you other comrades claimed that it was Somalis with donated uniforms from Adiss Ababa, whilst you went as far as claiming that you would "never" support an Ethiopian invasion. After this you switched stories to say that the Ethiopians would leave in a matter of weeks! Almost a year later Muqdisho is in complete and utter ruins; and here you claiming for the hundreth time that there is a " clean up" in Muqdisho is on it's feet. We wait to see what you have for us next year(inshallah)! But I don't blame you, you are just following the script!

The fact is those children in the pic didm't go to war. So again, I fail to see your point. But again my question stands: Did you send condolences for the I.C.U fighters that died or did you celebrate their deaths just like Kashafa is celebrating their deaths? Do we not have you on record dismissing and trying to dismiss the slaughter of Somali civilians by Ethiopian forces and the rape of Somali women by the? Yes or No or Hassan Dahir Aweys?

B]Yes, you are right. A a year you were in Badioa and thousands of Somali troops with donated Ethiopian uniforms arrived to "train the Somali government". A year ago the arrival of Ethiopian troops in Somalia was a "motivational prank" and you said that you would never support any Ethiopian invasion. On year later, here you are bombaring us with news about the clean up of Muqdisho by Ethiopian and Somali Trojan forces. Of course the fact is that democracy, peace, stability and security has been returned to Muqdisho by the galliant forces with the donated Ethiopian uniforms and the anti terror alliance. Now that is a fact, read it below for yourselves[/b] : quote:Mogadishu sliding back into anarchy Mogadishu sliding back into anarchy Women and children injured by stray bullets and mortars during fighting in the Somali capital Mogadishu are being turned back at military checkpoints as they try to reach hospitals, the United Nations children's agency said yesterday. Describing the humanitarian situation in the city as the worst since 1991 - the last time Somalia had an effective government - Unicef's representative for the country said the restrictions meant "people are being left behind in the streets to die". The roadblocks are manned by government and Ethiopian troops, who are battling to contain a growing insurgency. Article continues "The lack of respect for basic humanitarian principles from all sides is horrific," said Christian Balslev-Olesen. "It's violence, harassment ... terror against the civilian population." The conflict has already forced 600,000 people, more than half Mogadishu's population, to flee the city since February. More than a third of those fled in the past five weeks as fighting escalated. Hopes of a ceasefire are dim. Somalia's transitional government has made little effort to reach out to political opponents or the guerrilla fighters, who in turn have vowed to fight until the Ethiopian occupation ends. The insurgency is broad-based, comprising remnants of the Somali Council of Islamic Courts (SCIC), chased out of Mogadishu by Ethiopian forces last December, as well as militias controlled by warlords opposed to the government. Ethiopia and the United States, which backed the move to oust the SCIC citing alleged links to al-Qaida, say a large international peacekeeping mission is the answer. But no countries appear willing to add to the 1,600 Ugandan peacekeepers confined to a small area of Mogadishu. The abuses by government forces and the insurgents fit the pattern of impunity that has plagued Somalia for 16 years, and UN officials and diplomats admit they have little leverage over either party. Ethiopia, however, should be a different matter. Speaking to the Guardian a few weeks ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Addis Abada denied its troops were guilty of abuses. "Our conduct of war is in line with international law," said Wahide Beleye, spokesman for the ministry. "We don't target civilians." But UN officials insist that reports of indiscriminate shelling and heavy-handed house-to-house raids are credible. "Ethiopia has a functioning government that should be accountable," said a senior UN official responsible for Somalia, who cannot be named for fear of compromising his agency's work. "We tried talking to Ethiopia, even at ambassador level, but we get nowhere. It seems that they, like the other parties, can get away with anything in this dirty war." Besides the blocks on medical access, Unicef said that both government-allied militias and insurgents were recruiting children to fight. It also noted an unprecedented amount of sexual violence against women, particularly at checkpoints. Do let us know when the " clean up" of Muqdisho enters its " third phase".
