Football Tournament for Somaliland Community in UK
Fabregas replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in General
I might turn up and play in a Somali T Shirt. I'm gonna get a number 9, and write " recognize" on the back. -
They left last year aswell!

Ngonge, has a point, but i've already pointed out that Shariff could well be lying. He is a politcian and a human being. One can't rule out that possibility. The problem is that you are claiming that you know 100% that He is lying, when he could have been given wrong information. Remember when thousands of Ethiopian crossed the Somali border, many of you T.F.G supporters said that your sources said that such a thing didn't exist. Perhaps you were also lying or your sources gave the wrong information. Remember the donated uniforms? The 100 trainers? Remember the prank?

Peter Oduri tried to deny that he was from the Luo tribe, but the baying mob at the door knew how to check. About ten youths armed with pangas forced their way into the tiny wood-framed shack and forced him to strip at knifepoint. They whooped with delight when they saw the evidence. Mr Oduri had not been circumcised — marking him out as a Luo living far from home in the small market town of Naivasha. Duke you dissapoint me mate. I asked you for proof to show that there were indeed terrorists in that particular area. Your proof is that they ran as in the other places. Logically, this would mean that in those latter places they were pictured there in the first place? No pics, no eye witness reports, no evidence saxiib? But here you are, lecturing to us about lying, whilst you are presenting unseen-running(vanishing men) as proof to back up a claim made by your hero. Either your hero was lying or the people that told him the evidence mislead him? Know your proof for the Sheikh being a snich is nothing short of hearsay. Another man not being arrested is pure tabloid-street gossip. Indeed it is possible that Mr Shariff could have `completely made this story up or it is plausible that the evidence given to him was misleading. But how are you and I too know this? You don't know know exactly what goes in his heart nor do you know what exactly occured when he travelled to Kenya. But one thing is certain and must be taken as a complete fact: Terrorists were in Shimbiraale and they ran away. Evidence? Abdullahi Yusuf said so! lol ps. do you remember what some SOL members and T.F.G officials said when Somali eyewitness and groups reported thousands of Ethiopians crossing the border? perhaps u need a reminder?

quote:You can't prove they were never there. Can you prove they were there? Can you prove they escaped like Goats? Can you prove that Sheikh Shariff snitched on his friends? I bet your information is based on other peoples accounts, which can turn out to be wrong or right? Forget about Indhacade for a second or too!

quote:Islam is the enemy of Qabayaalad Knowadays some people developed what can be termed as "religous tribalism"? I mean even those on the deen have immense hatred and division for one another, which has reached a level never experienced before in Islamic History. I'm not even talking about Sunni/Shia, rather Tableeq, Sufi, Salafi( they have their own divisions), Deobandi, Barelvi. It has reached a level that if one finds out a Sheikh is Sufi or something they will boycott his Khutba or discussion. In one Masjid( India) a Muslim wasn't allowed to enter a mosque becausehe was a from a different madhab.

quote:since you prioritized their (occupation forces) utter and immediate withdrawal as paramount to the initiation of any reconciliation conference. The reason why I prioritized their withdrawl or at least partial disengagement from Somalia is simply because their presence in Somalia is/will provoke all out war. Secondly, whilst they are in Somalia certain Somali faction aren't allowed(American politics) to discuss, meet and attempt to negotiate with each other. If there are talks in Somalia what good would it do if Hassan Turki and Aweys are not invited? Of course that is assuming they would want to negotiate and talk in the first place, nevertheless, the T.F.G doesn't want to be seen or is even allowed by their backers to meet these individuals. The way to remove the obstacle you pointed out is for both sides to compormise and for opposition groups to accept a gradual process of Ethiopian withdrawl and thus not firing shots against the T.F.G. In return the T.F.G must be obliged to accept that the once this situtation arises there is no need for foreign protectors. That process is not going to happen by ordinary Somalis reconciling. It lies in the hands of the commanders, Sheikhs, warlords, clan elders and generals on the ground. And we haven't even taken into consideration whether or not ppl like Ceyrow will still continue to wage war against the "murtads" even if Tigrays pack home and go back to their homes. But that situation is far from likely to arise given that the international community( America) is egging the Ethiopians on not to leave Somalia and stay longer to root out " terrorists". So even if Ethiopia leaves, the Americans will still be heavily monitoring Somalia very closely. Note that I am not saying what I would like to happen in Somalia, rather what is most likely to happen when one analyses the various different actors ( they seem unlikely to sort out their differences under a qhudac tree). To use Xiin's words they seem unlikely to, " to negotiate and ultimately reconcile our differences", no matter what desires/wishes we internet experts have.

Juje, negotiation and reconciliation are two different things. There has to be negotiation to facilitate a process for reconcialition. The warrning factions should "negotiate " with each other to try to create a room for withdrawl of foreign troops and to also coordinate some sort of ceasefire. Hezbollah negotiates with Israel but Hezbollah can never reconcile with Israel. Thus any grand reconciliation meeting( like the one that happened in Muqdisho) which pretends that there is a conflict between clans in Somalia and parades old men hugging each other will not make peace in Somalia let alone reconcile them. True reconciliation will happen once all foreign troops leave Somalia and Somalis agree to this formula( ceasfire, withdrawl, talks etc...). Though one must be dreaming to believe that SOmalis will sit at a tree and agree to tell the Ethiopians to go home. This is nothing short of a dream, considering that one group has said the Ethiopians are their brothers and protectors( politics is about loyalty and interests).
