Clearly the young man with the pistol wasn't ready for implementing Shariah law and the man who sadly and tragically lost his live wasn't ready for it either. This is type of behaviour amongst a certain group/organisation isn't the firt time in Somalia. A lot of people including many of the Ulema are keeping silent about these issues. It is understandable they don't want to openly condemn and divide the people. Lakin, if people don't rectify and openly point out the mistakes such as the above and general conudct of the Islamic movements with regards to the SOmali people, then it serves the enemies of the Somali people, and perhaps they will stop supporting them in the long run. It is not acceptable that people who aren't scholars and young men come up with instant fatawas and take the lives of people!

Apparently the man was shot by Alshabaab militia for not turning of Music( la ilaha ilalah). So the relatives(clan) of the man are the ones that sought to take revenge. You are right they are making the same mistakes as lasy year. Remember when they shot some men in a hospital and raided Cinemas. These tactics belong to Iraq and found there way to Somalia. But it is the Job of the Ulema to correct these young man and openly point out that this is the path of the khawarijites, ie killing and terrorising people for doing simple sins. He tried to stop listening to Music, but he commited one of the greatest sins(Murder) in Islam which is punishable by death! In fact, the shariah law they talk about so much, would probably sentence this man to death! We will see where this takes them! P.s, who is this Max'ed Amiin ? Madaxii war-faafinta ee MMI Sheekh C/raxiim Cali Muudey oo ku amaray in Max'ed Amiin uu ka baxo Dhoobley. Posted to the Web Feb 26, 11:07 Kismaayo:-Wararka naga soo gaaraya magaalada Dhoobley ayaa ku soo waramaya in uu jiro khilaaf u dhexeeya kooxaha kala gadisan oo ku sugan Magaalada Dhoobley. I swear the Everton-Man city match was on at that time? I don't have sky.........so i watched a bit of this Persian programme and caught an awesome sight of a snake that lied an ambush( like they do in the military) behind a tree and literally swallowed a rodent!.........

Nimankan maxa ku saliday Cinemaas iyo Filimaan? Surely there's bigger problems and issues in Somalia? In any case, ak47 aren't going to stop Somalis listening to Music and watching films......

Comdemning deaths and dicussing the issue of Alshabaab in Somalia doesn't need to be done using emotional measures. That is bombarding the SOL with " Amiin" and " Qarax" threads, in order to make a political point with regards to Somali groups at the expense of the deceased. This man wasn't doing any political or phyiscal harm to any Somali. One can safely say this appears to be an unwarranted killing. But some of your other condemnations such as the the T.F.G officials( gudomiyo deegmo) being assasinated are somewhat controversial. I mean, how do you pronounce innocence on them? SOme of them controlled districts and worked day and night to implement the Xabashi occupation. They could be involved in transfering Somali prisoners or spying and attempting to arrest sympathisers of a local resistance. One needs to understand the nature of waging an insurgency: it's not always nice. Every case needs to be assesed on its own. A translator can become a target of an insurgency, if he translated for the occupying army, when they are interegating or even torturing prisoners of the local population. Thus, one's minor role doesn't( neccesarily) make him innocent. Islamically, every target must be chosen very carefully and fully analysed. But this is Somalia in the 21st century. A brutalized country with people like Adan Ceyrow at the helm of influence. You will see people who merely sell cigarretes to Ethiopians or ironing the clothers of the T.F.G getting a bullet in the head, or people being attacked with hand grenades simply for watching movies in a cinema. These tactics have spread to Somalia from the Middle East. That is one extreme which I disagree with, but I also disagree with the other extreme which says all Somalis that enforce the occupation are presumed innocent because they aren't xabashis and good old peaceful Somalis! Emotional rhetoric like Alshabaab needs to be cleansed and wiped by the face of the earth; isn't really going to change or solve the the issue. Nor does it make more one more caring or sympathetic towards the dead. It's just pure emotion. Who's going to do the cleansing? Alshabaab(at least some of them) is a Somali problem(and even a solution to some problems. It will need to be solved by Somali religious ulema and wider society. Not Nur Cade or "other "international community" group.

Ayrow dissappeared and Abu..... is trying to create a better public image, although some of their operations are not doing them any good service!

At least Alshabaab have a clear strategy and ideology. Unlike some people who don't mind having Ethiopian troops one day and fiercely support T.F.G; only to change sides when their favourite politicians are demoted by Zenawi!

Mogadishu security improves and taxes to be collected...
Fabregas replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
The way Somalia(at least Southern Somalia) is going: they're wont be anything for SL to seperate from. It's like a man who was about to die and then the doctors amputated his leg to save him, only for him to turn around and say, " why did cut a piece of my leg"? Because to save the rest of his body. Somalia is a disastrous cancer, which is close to being owned and ruled by another state from Adiss Ababa. Marka, Southern Somalis shouldn't make SL iyo dismembering countries as their biggest priorties. That is for later on if Somalia is free and a unity government or peace is created. How can you invite somebody to Aqal dumay? -

Originally posted by somalipride: Peace Action, of course they do....first it was the women they brough forward that was supposedly raped, then it was the ethiopian soldiers desacrating the Masjid and now it's this story. I can't wait until the next one! Saxiib, Masjid/s being occupied and decerated is a fact. Nobody can deny that happened. Bring one T.F.G that can deny Masjids were used as bases by Ethiopian forces. We saw the inages and video ourselves. The "supposed" rapes have also being widely reported by Western agencies that are neutral in the Somali conflict and Woyanes are well known to carry out raped! I suppose they are all clanists? I also find somrwhat unlikely that a Somali sisters would come on television and announce she had beenr raped by Ethiopians, with her husband, given the taboo in our society! Thus, there is no comparison with this petty story about some warlord being "supposedly" raped.

There was period in the gane where Inter stifled Liverpool and the scousers were running out of ideas. I think that was just before the sending off. Liverpool were running around like maniacs and didn't even manage to get beyong the Inter back line once. But the red care change the game completely and Inter were forced to change the game. They were defensive to begin with, but I believe they would have commited more men as the game wore on and Liverpool ran themselves tired. Liverpool could have done better after the red card. The crossing was very poor and Ngone is post: liverpool need urgent wingers...........not Penant, Kewell and the likes.....or at least change the system............. but the scousers could still bring the cup back hom, such is their level of flukness

Iranian PRESS TV: Ethiopian Gen. 'slaps Somali President'

Ethiopian "slaps" Somali president. I wonder how the masses in the world would react to that story? Probably a negative story for all Somalis regardless with what political stance they take. -
Stories of Repentance In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful INTRODUCTION All praise is for Allah, Lord of all that exists. O Allah, send prayers and salutaions upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and all those who follow his way until the Last Day. Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [az-Zumar : 53] Indeed, Allah has opened the door of repentance to every sinner. The Prophet said, "Oh people, repent to Allah, for indeed, I repent to Allah 100 times every day" [Muslim : 2702] It is truly encouraging to know that the door to repentance is always open, but what is more, Allah is actually happy when one of His slaves repents. It is important to note here that the keys to repentance are that a sinner must desert from his sin, feel regret for having perpetrated it, and then make a firm resolve not to return to it. Who among us does not sin? And who among us does all that is required of him in the religion? It is an undeniable fact that we all have shortcomings; what distinguishes some of us from the others, what raises some of us above the others, is that the successful ones among us are those who repent their sins and ask Allah to forgive them. Sadly, some people are guilty of thinking in this manner: "Those I see around me perpetrate minor sins, while I am guilty of perpetrating major sins, so what is the use of repenting?!" True, such a person does well by finding fault with his own self, yet he makes a grave, ruinous error when he loses hope, when he underestimates Allah's Forgiveness and Mercy. To be sure, the door of repentance is open both to the perpetrator of minor sins and to the perpetrator of major sins. In regard to repentence, the following beautiful hadith should inspire hope in us all: Ibn Mas'ud narrated that the Prophet said: “Indeed, Allah is more happy with the repentance of His slave than a man who stops in a barren, desolate land; with him he has his riding animal. He then goes to sleep. When he wakes up, [he realizes that] his mount is gone. He searches for it until he is on the verge of dying. He then says, ‘I will return to the place wherein I lost it, and I will die there.’ He went to that place, and he was then overcome by sleep. When he woke up, his mount was [standing] right beside his head: on it was his food, his drink, his provisions, and the things he neded. Allah is more happy with the repentance of his believing slave than the aforementioned man when he finds his mount and his provisions.” [al-Bukhaari: 6308 ; Muslim: 2744] This hadith clearly illustrates that no one should become so hopeless that he refrains from repenting to Allah. Glad tidings, then, to every Muslim who constantly and consistently hastens to repent to Allah and to ask for his forgiveness. HE BROUGHT ME TO THEM SO THAT I CAN REFORM MY CHARACTER.. Al-Fudayl bin Iyaad was famous for his piety and worship, but he was not always a practicing Muslim. In his early years, al-Fudayl was an infamous highway robber; he would prowl in the night for victims on the road from Abiward to Sarakhs. Between these two cities was a small village in which lived a girl that al-Fudayl was in love with. One night, out of desperation to be with her, al-Fudayl climbed the wall of her home. As he was climbing over it, he heard a voice recite: أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe to be affected by Allah's Reminder? [al-Hadeed : 16] At that moment, al-Fudayl answered, "O my Lord, the time has indeed come." He returned from where he came and sought refuge near a traveling party on the main road. They were busy engaging in a serious discussion. al-Fudayl heard one of them say, "Let us continue our journey now." Another answered, "No, not until the morning, for al-Fudayl is lurking on the road somewhere out there, just waiting to rob us." Having heard the entire conversation, al-Fudayl thought to himself, "I go around in the night to sin, while a group of Muslims remain here because they fear me. Indeed i feel that Allah has brought me here to them only so that I can reform my character. O Allah, I indeed repent to you.." http://www.kalamullah.com/repentance.html

UGANDA - Ondongo Tamba is the only person left in the village of Kkonkoma after a mass of celebrity adoptions. Twenty years of age and too old to be adopted by a celebrity, Ondongo cuts a lonely figure in the village where children used to play once and elders sat telling stories amongst the corrugated iron huts. The village has been decimated by a mass of celebrity adoptions which has effectively turned the whole area into a wasteland. Children who were once the lifeblood of this tiny hamlet deep in the wilds of Uganda are now propped up in places like Manhattan, Kensington or Beverly Hills, living in mansions with Olympic swimming pools and walk-in cupboards decked to the hilt with thousands of expensive clothes and shoes. "The heart of this community has been torn out by these vanity celebrity adoptions," Jill Severino, a relief worker from Médecins Sans Frontières, told the Daily Squib on Friday. There used to be 30 families living in this village and now they have all gone. As well as A-list celebrities there have also been adoptions from D-listers who wish to jump on the 'celebrity adoption' bandwagon. After adopting a boy from the same village, pop star Madonna, even went to great lengths to have jungle scenes painted on the bedroom walls of her African boy's quarters to make him feel more at home. Amongst other well known celebrities, David Beckham has also adopted a Ugandan boy as well as Angelina Jolie. "It's the next accessory amongst the new breed of celebrity; they already have the private jets, Aston Martins and everything and anything they want. Keeping up with the Jones' is not cheap - especially if you're the typical shallow celebrity," Charles Peters head of the XTM PR agency told the Daily Squib from his offices in London. There have been instances where some celebrities have wanted their first choice exchanged for another child due to unforeseen circumstances - like clashing with the decor scheme. The brokers usually line up the children before the celebrities arrive. There is normally a brief ceremony of dancing and singing once the celebrity has chosen which African boy or girl they want to try out. Once the children are successfully patriated and settled within the celebrity household they are not viewed as pure ornaments and objects of interest, but as real live attractions to be paraded in front of the media networks and cameras. That is until the next celebrity craze comes along http://www.dailysquib.co.uk/?c=117&a=1225

LONDON - England - Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has announced new Labour laws to reduce violent crime in the UK. The breakthrough laws will also reduce police paperwork and increase efficiency within the law and enforcement sectors. Under the new laws espoused by the Home Office, teens who commit their first murder will be cautioned and then given an on-the-spot fine of £20.00. If the teens do not have the money upfront they will be reprimanded and required to pay the fine in instalments. Two strikes and you're out Only when teens commit murder twice will there be any grounds for a court appearance which may eventually lead to prosecution and possible jail time. Courts in England and Wales have welcomed the Home Secretary's decision and commended Ms Smith on freeing up valuable court time so they can continue prosecuting more motorists in England and Wales for minor driving offences. The Labour think tank which pioneered the groundbreaking law has also been commended by the Prime Minister. Gordon Brown will be discussing the new murder laws in next week's cabinet meeting with a view to implementing them within six months. Jacqui Smith, who was also responsible for the introduction of ASBO's (Anti Social Behaviour Orders) and ABC's (Anti Social Behaviour Contracts), was not available for comment because she was down her local kebab shop with an armed escort getting some extra chilli sauce on a chicken doner. Violent crime statistics in the UK are now at a three year low with only 450 murders per day in Manchester alone. The rest of the UK has also seen a dramatic decrease in violent crime because of Labour's recent crime fighting initiatives. http://www.dailysquib.co.uk/?c=117&a=1232

That was in 2003. 2008 now, and Iraq is a failed state. It will or has already become another Somalia. Tribal warlords are running various parts of the country and fight over vital resources. Their case is excerbated by the fact that they also have religous warlords(Shia, Sunni) and the curse of the black of the gold means that one primitive warlord can generate million by selling of Oil to highest bidders. The neighbouring states such as Saudia, Iran and Israel are all meddling in Iraq's affairs as the state institution is so weak. Very sad days for Baghadad indeed!
