A Destructive blast hits on Ethiopian troop’s convoy A land mine explosion was targeted on Ethiopian troop’s convoy vehicles were passing in KM13 area in the vicinity of Afgoi district on Saturday according to eye witnesses. After the press conference, Suley spoke to Shabelle on how the soldiers with their vehicle joined their side. “In fact, these were Somalis who had been forced or misled. But when they realized they were part of the enemy that was oppressing the Somali people and after they were contacted, they said they were ready to defend their religion and their country” He said When asked about the number of soldiers who had joined them, Suley declined to elaborate. Suley’s remark comes as three government soldiers with one armed vehicle have surrendered to the anti-Gov and Ethiopian troops fighters on Friday according to reliable sources. Sources said that the defected soldiers were parts of the presidential palace’s body guard furthermore they gave in to the anti-Gov and Ethiopian troops fighters. It’s yet unknown the motivation behind the soldier’s surrender to their opponent groups. Saxiib, it's common knowledge that Alqaeda in Iraq was a tiny, tiny group and the majority of the people who took arms in Iraq were ordinary Iraqis. Similarly, the concentration on Alshabaab alone in Somalia is a farce designed to escape the fact that there are thousands or even million of Somalis who don't want Ethiopian troops inside their country! They don't support Osama Bin Laden nor do they support terrorism! How can a little man who came from Axum call a Muqdisho native whom is defending his property a terrorist? ya? Even if such groups exist their legitimacy and support stems from Ethiopian occupation!

The group that is attempting to break away from the wider I.C.U is relatively small and of course their enemies like to exaggerate their power( due to their affliation with Alqaeda). Furthermore, Hassan Turki is still the ideological/influence leader of Alshabaab and also part of the wider I.C.U. Other figures such as Sheikh Ibrahim SUley and the bulk of the Islamic Courts are still inside Muqdisho and the rest of Somalia.....Though what we see nowadays is quite similar to Iraq: the entire Somali resistance( which is made of ordinary Somali clans and people) will be dismissed as being led by Alqaeda and five men who supposedly trained in Tora Bora.......

There are plenty of other organisations included on this list..whom continue to function......Yes a whole load of people could possibly be accused of funding an outlawed group.? Xawalas could also come under more intense scrutiny....... apart from that, how else will this change the dynamics of the conflict in Somalia?......Remembe Alshabaab( the wing led by Abu Mansur) doesn't have any offices or groups located outside of Somalia!

Saxiib, the US admin has been fighting these groups( directally and indirectally) for a long time now....... They were already declared as terrorists.and treated as such...So the effect already occured many moons ago, when the Americans were bombing the daylights out of Alshabaab...This latest declaration will probably have more of an impact on those that possibly fund Alshabaab from abroad.... There are plenty of weapons inside Somalia ..........I highly doubt that it will dramatically change the political landscape......
