  1. quote:often leaving the government’s defense to teenage Somali troops with clackety guns who are clearly overwhelmed. THat is sad, Walahi!
  2. Originally posted by me: ^get over it. A good man, who was frustrated with the id*ots that surrounded him, called them names. It's about actions, visions and reaching goals. You call yourself abu geeljire, come here with some pirate flag and you are questioning the poems of a great man who fought for the liberation of his land against colonial oppressors and their dabodhil*fs. You are doing to the legacy of the Sayyid what the TFG cheerleaders are doing right now. So what makes you better then the TFG supporters? You are critisising the poems of a man who fought for islam, liberty and the honour of the Somali nation. Why do you do this? is weydii. Your getting over emotional( as usual) and resorting to personal attacks( once again)! Whether or not I have pic of a "pirate flag", isn't particularly important to this discussion. That pirate flag is similar to the Islamic flags and banners that all Muslims carried in history, including Imam Ahmad Gurey who hoisted at the capital city of the Tigray region. The Prophet( saw) also carried an Islamic banner, although not the same as the one( black and white) that is used today! As for the digs @ my internet nick, lol, is all I can say. Sayid Muhamad Abdullah Hassan is not a god or a Prophet. The poems he made against entire clans, which containted obscene language of a sexual nature were wrong and was probably a mistake! As for the rest of Somalinimo lecture: have we not heard it all before? I mean your a man who champions Somalinimo and Unity, but the moment someone disagrees with your view, you resort to call them "seccecionist khat heads, surwalgaabs, dhabodhilifs". Where is the unity you speak about?
  3. Abusing other clans of of sexual obscentity( with their mothers) amongst other things was hardly a good move. In fact, it was probably one of the biggest mistakes he made!
  4. quote:It doesn't appear to be damaged and we are ready to hand it back to anyone who claims ownership," he added http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/afp/080328/world/somalia_us_accident_air_1 Lol,somebody is really gonna claim a crashed spy drone!
  5. Iraq’s Prime Minister was staring into the abyss today after his operation to crush militia strongholds in Basra stalled, members of his own security forces defected and district after district of his own capital fell to Shia militia gunmen. With the threat of a civil war looming in the south, Nouri al-Maliki’s police chief in Basra narrowly escaped assassination in the crucial port city, while in Baghdad, the spokesman for the Iraqi side of the US military surge was kidnapped by gunmen and his house burnt to the ground.
  6. What do people think about the qabil poems of Sayid Muhamad?
  7. Lately, unity and such associated buzz words have flowed from the tongues of our illustrious pundits. "Somalis need unity and "they need it know is mantra"! How to achieve this unity( for the general Somali masses) and what on? Isn't it too late already ? When were Somalis united? please don't give one line answers! This intended to be a serious discussion on the future of the Somali race( at least those that reside inside Somalia)!
  8. I'm suprised you label Malik's Gangs of Baghdad as a government! I don't particularly like the Alsadr group or the Alkeyda in Eyerack. But that wouldn't make me indulge in propoganda for the gang that calls themselves rulers of eyerack! Anyway, we shall see!
  9. Did you know Somalis used to trade extensively with Chinese during the middle ages? I like the brothers flag( armay Soomaali luntay yihin?), we need to help them!
  10. Akhi that is very harsh.....ha is dambaabin.....
  11. quote:Many Ethiopians have been simply shocked about the level propaganda Behailu Damte we Ethiopians can clearly spot who our enemies And what do we call this? The latest Ethiopian propoganda perhaps?
  12. He will probably come out from this position strenghtened in this.....and when that happens I shall resurrect this thread!
  13. so the kids and the cowards must be responsible for all the losses inflicted on the Ethiopians and T.F.G?
  14. Sadr has negotiated many times before. Remember he fought Americans at the start of the war and I believe Ayatollah Sistansi was instrumental in negotiating a way of that. He also negotiated effetively in securing a 6 month ceasfire with the Americans and is now trying to position himself as a populist Iraqi leader( with the call for civil disobedience,Shia-Sunni unity etc). The fact that He is negotiating shouldn't be seen as a sign of weakness. If he negotiates a ceasfire and a cessation of hostilities, it means Malik's deadline is finished and the latter man failed in his objective, whilst the former still holds influence and controls key Iraqi districts/ports. Moreover, the American involvement( majority of Iraqis are against their stay) negatively affects Maliki, as he has claimed this is solely an Iraqi occupation!
  15. Iraq doesn't need stronger guns and tanks. That has failed for the past five years and I fail to see how the current operation will change Iraq for the better. Since the gang led by Malikia also operates through the use of militias and has proved itself utterly incapable of ruling the country effectively. Al Sadr's forces will probably resist bitterly and then after this they will sign a ceasefire. Sadr and all the other militias will still have widepread influence among some communities and then we are back to square one: Iraq under occupation; and a joke government, resistance, warlords, terrorists, tribal hatred, religous segregation! I wouldn't call that progress!
  16. Clashes between different warlords and the further division of the the various communities into rival factions, warlords and clans look set to continue. Iraq is on it's way to becoming a failed state, or has it already?
  17. Now they probably go back into the bushes, only to return in a couple of weeks and do the same thing.......

  19. ^^That is what normally happens when there is an occupation.........what did you expect would happen? With regards to tribalism, I would dare say that the tribal supporters( as they appear) of Ina Yusuf on this forum are greatly outnumbered by pan-Somalis from all regions, whom are against Ethiopian occupation. But who or what side is better is frankly, 2006 news. Today the question is: how can a political compromise be reached and the political deadlock( Ethiopian troops) be broken?
  20. Sheekadi Boma waa khalas.....its probably gonna become a white vs black thing......
  21. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_midlands/7309548.stm Last Thursday, an armed robber pushing a child's buggy and disguised as a woman in a burka went to the Friends Jewellers in Smethwick, West Midlands.
  22. ^^So in other words your friend is the best man, because he won an " election". Furthermore, there's no real point in anyone else running since there all foreigners and no one is better than your candidate? Well, why don't you give them a chance and see how they do? It is clear to all that this particular adminstration has grossly failed. In any case, this particular thread conerns the alleged involvement of Ethiopians and the oil debate. More importantly, Puntland has literally declared itself independent of any laws passed by the T.F.G. Now, one would think that this a particularly important development, given the fact that PL has been heralded as a bastion of federalism in Somalia and also strongly, part and parcel of a greater-federal Somalia! Moreover, the war over resources...minerals supposed oil etc... in the Northern regions( Somaliland, Maakhir, PL) will increase immensely over the next few years. Hence you will see these entities probably trying to place themselves under the protection of foreign entities, be they Americans in Berbera, Ethiopians in Puntland or these security firms......the entrenchment of foreigners in Somalia affaris look set to increase..........
