What did you expect from a Habashi leader? An independent SOmaliland, heavily armed, and funded by the West can act as freindly buffer between the Lawless Ocaden region, Southern Somalia. It also acts a a gurantee for save port usage! Ethiopia is fighting multiple insurgencies: Somaliland is very resourceful in this regard.! Regional tribal warlords fighting amongst themselves and allowing vital acess to Somali resources(to steal) is indeed a blessing to Her(or those dictators should I say)! As the war over resources heats up in Northern Somalia, those leaders of the tribal region will attempt to gain a monopoly on oil deals and other lucrative contracts( for the old men at least)! Watch even PL declare itself more and more independent from the boys in Muqdisho! I should expect the Ethiopian adminstration to figure or at least be in the back alleys of any tussles of oil contracts in Northern Somalia! Meanwhile, the intellectual diehards will scream that little towns have been captured by other evil clan warriors. Not realising............
