True that, but I do believe that vast majority of Somalis are for an Ethiopian withdrawal and a peaceful solution after that period( between all groups/clans). SOmalis are tired of war!

Well not as much as they've been doing in the past 17 years. When the Kacdoon groups are attacking towns most of the T.F.G governors and militia simply flee and let the Islamic Courts take the towns, and then wait for the Ethiopian to arrive.

He's right, but that's also been one of the miscalculations that He made, which led to the debacle and quagmire of his army. He expected to bribe all subclans, via the use of clan elders and moreover expected the Islamic Courts to simply dissappear from the scene and recieve no support from SOmalis( both at home and in the Diaspora). One can say that the supply of religous and nationalistic sentiments amongst SOmalis has increased since the invasion, although Somalia is still a clanish society.

How many Ethiopian troops have died in Somalia since December 2006? How many injured? Quite a few How many troops are in Somalia right now? A few thousand. Two, three thousand. It means being broke. For example, when farax has only two cigarettes left and has to ask his friend to buy him khat, and he only has one coke( which he has 2 drink slowly). Then he Says: "Busaarad baa ihaysa" . In this context, I'm referring to the serious matter of the recession and the inflation, food shortage, etc that are occuring right now!

How about if I give you an idea for a title: " The Sunnah, the Better". I believe there is a programme on Islam channel by a certain Sheikh every week with that title! Don't know who came up with the idea. But sidad doonto u tur! What do you think, Nurow?

I'm still waiting for an expert get an opinion 2 till I change the title

Afka Soomaaliga ma la tartami karaa afafka kale?
Fabregas replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in News - Wararka
Some words sound like they originate from Arabic, but they are cross shared by other Semitic related languages. For example the words "Selam or Salam " is used in some Xabashi anguages and I believe it is used in Aramaic and Hebrew. So it would be difficult to say that particular word is from Arabic..since thelanguage isn't that old.... -
@Abu Salman, more attention is given to what the the BBC Somalia declared or what a clan warlord uttered, United Nations, African Union than what some Saudi Ulema declared. Also, Sovereignty and who or what can enter what lands is detemermined( to the people) by the superpowers( through the United Nations)these days........ Some Sheikhs and pundits where arguing that it was unislamic to be against the Ethio-Warlord alliance and that the Ethiopian and their fellow warlords should be obeyed. When the well known Ulema gave their fatawas, the only respone they could muster was: nooo, the Ulema are calling for a fitna... and what are you calling for? Peace, unity, democracy by the murderous forces of Meles Zenawi! I think those individuals have gone into hiding now or at least don' try to bring those xabashi apologetic Fatawas anymore! Word is one Sheikh stood up( after the Ethiopian invasion) and declared that it was obligatory to be friendly to Woyane forces and their allies, word is they later shot up his own brother( Xabashi style). Who's calling to Fitna? p.s, aren't some of those ulema on that list on the Ikahwnish side of things? I think I remember reading a refutation of one of those individuals.........

Originally posted by Koora-Tuunshe: O stands for? How about Somali National Liberation Front. http://www.awdalnews.com/wmview.php?ArtID=9612 That's not important adeer. Granted the ONLF aren't angels and not many SOmalis are free from traces from tribalism. Nevertheless, the name issue and all the other related issues are just nonsensical and meaningful issues which mainly supporters of Meles Zenawi's regime focus on. I doubt they would be sympathising or joining in droves, if tommorow the name was changed and was replaced with word "Islam". Lastly, it is somewhat strange and mind-boggling that Somalis would focus on the minor issue of the usage of a word, when our simple, nomadic mothers and sisters have been forced to pick up guns( as this video shows), waxba ba inaka khaldan, no?

^^ Actually since Xabashis came many mosques have been closed and others have been used as military bases. So maybe if you want a xabashi soldier to stand on your neck whilst you make sujood, then it would be better for you. Or maybe the majority "Muslims" of Ethiopia, which by the way includes the occupied Somalis of the Ocaden will tell you about the delights and religious freedoms of life under a Tigray Commander!

is there a reason why ur posting 2006 news?

^^U forgot the Union of Islamic Courts.... Toure, all that you're talking about will become relevant once the Ethiopians leave or an actual peace deal is signed between the warring parties. It seems that Ethiopia is trying to find a clever way to leave Somalia and preserve the existence of the T.F.G: replace them with African Union Troops, which are essentially a darker version of Tigray Butt, just another side of the same coin. Some people in Somalia are trying to avoid this, ie they want to finish the Xabashis and destroy once and for all, no negotiations, xabad iyo feedh! They're attacking African Union, so as to stop other African States coming to protect the T.F.G. Who is taking the right approach and is the better for Somalia will become apparent in due time. In the mean time more Xabashis are reported to be crossing the border........so the game and the goal is still the same for the Somalis! It's a jungle out there my friend, which we safe Westerners can't be to understand!
