Salam Umm the idea of the recessive gene caught my eye,I have noticed that predominace too, but since my sisters son was born iam doubting it, he looks purely somali and resembles my father greatly,he is mixed Somali/Arab. Salam Personally to me they are very important, I try to write daily on a book about the events of that day.Its not any sense a private diary...more a of witness to my life. I got the idea after reading one of the best books I ever read " The house of the spirits" by Isabelle Anellende( i am not sure if thats how u spell her last name). One of the main characters wrote daily of the important events that marked her life. Without the memories...who are we?

Salam Sis i know how u feel...i go to a school with only 6 or somali girls of varying grades and i do get along with two of them we are not close friends but freinds non the less. Maybe because i was brought up in the arabs and carry a noticable accent around i could not get along with the black girls in my school...but if they are nice decent ppl and with whom u share common values sis hang out with them. Until u meet the somali ppl of ur age in university or at parties throught mutal aquantices. PEACE
