Dont worry, your views will have no effect on the state that is 40% of the country you claim to love. ^^^ first things first yaa GD, I said "Californians are proud to be Americans!" What clans have I mentioned Mr GD? What is your answer? NONE! which is the correct answer! I'm happy the UN will be stationed in Garowe and in Hargeysa, that is why I said "I think It is a good move by the UN to relocate their HQs to Somalia" ... I was not mocking a Puntland flag a week ago, never needed to and if you can back up your allegations in a timely manner and within the proper procedures I will appreciate it. Lets see how that goes for now!

^^Adeer nothing has gotten to me. You know where I'm heading, and your boy here is taking it where you(GD) want it parked. The UN chose to relocate from Kenya to Somalia, and I support it wholeheartedly but qabiilisteyaal like you see things differently. Let me know when you wake up from your daydream, will you? Also, why are you mentioning Beledweyne over and over?

Sakhar, do you always speak for GD? are you wariyaha arimaha gudaha for wasaaratul GD I wonder? Why do you stick up for him 24/7? he can speak for himself you know! Who is competing with who and what world do you live in? I'm sure even GD will frown upon your comment. Why does it matter what region they chose? It is all Somalia nooh?

lol@KK. Waxa diyaarisey iyo waxad cuntid islama eka ma istiri. Intaas waxaa lagu qaate adigo ku tuura grilled salmon with heirloom tomatoes (check Redbook p36 August 2010 edition for recipe info) When you consider the wide range of nutrients the human body needs to grow and be healthy, Somali style Ramadan food doesn't make the cut yaaqee(neither do majority of other ethnicities cunto). Macna malaha laakiin KK, a 2 hour intense workout at the gym will take care of that lasagna and kalaankal with malawax  People, C&H means well and collecting good deeds for her efforts. Keep it up walaal! BOB, iyo rijaalkiina kale, biyaha iyo dhaqdhaqaaqa badsada, no couch potato bizniz. The women are doing well so far in here! -

Anagaa ka naxayno, ee bal ku noqo menu ga diyaarintiisa mar labaad yaaqee. p.s. BOB listen to KK ee fiir fiirsiga iska daaf, istaqfurAllah badso. -

First things first yaa JB. What is that you ask? Well it starts with grocery shopping at the local market shop, then planning what to cook based on what you bought at the market. To answer your question I eat most of what I've listed every night or every other night. -

lol@dhex yaraatid. No no, I just know calool weynayaashaas ineysan ka helin healthy eating wax la dhaho, you've already seen the responses you got on this thread. Or it is my OCD when it comes to healthy eating. I like soups with all kinds of veggies cooked (kale, beets, leeks, pumpkin, yams, potatoes, carrots, spinach, ginger, tomatoes, lentils, chickpeas) from scratch because not only it's nutritional but my stomach can't handle solid foods most of the time. I've convinced my family to go for soups as well(most of the time so i don't have to cook for myself) and trust me they love it (not as much as me but it is a start I tell you). I admire how you go to the gym after afur, most people want to lay down and relax (maybe because they're stuffed). JB and Tman, like C&H said, I don't "eat it all at once". Most Somalis don't regard healthy eating as a priority, which is kind of sad If you think about it. -
How to eat nutritious food and stay fit this Ramadan
Somalina replied to Chocolate and Honey's topic in General
C&H, please Do NOT preach healthy eating during Ramadan to Somalis! I swear by the following: Fluid -8 glasses of water with lemon, 2 cups of skim milk, half glass of freshly squeezed grape fruit. Snacks : appetizers -Dates, feta cheese, black olives, pickles, raisins, cherry tomatoes, samosa, bajiye, carrots, humus, toasted pita bread. Banana. Dinner 80% of time i opt for soups (i.e. veggie, chicken, and fish) The other times is between pasta and rice dishes complemented with lots of veggies. Dessert Fruit salad, yogurt with honey and nuts, or blueberries with yogurt and some Cheerios. Sometimes i crave for dark chocolate but that is once in a blue moon. Suhuur Oatmeal with honey, glass of soy milk, and an apple or a banana. A cup of tea just before fajr. Exercise Running before dinner or taking a long walk (30min max) to lose the calories you accumulated before dinner. Tips: -To the people that hate the gym, go for long walks, after taraawix or after dinner and take advantage of the summer weather. -Eat light, chew longer, and savour the taste of food. I've more guidelines and tips, and I will be back. -
