  8. We, the under-signed representative members of the Somali Diaspora condemn the terrorist actions of Alshabab. We specifically condemn the August 24, 2010 incident at the Muna Hotel in Mogadishu where Alshabab militants murdered over 30 people, including several members of parliament and injured over 100 civilians in a suicide attack. We condemn this barbaric attack, committed in the midst of the Holy month of Ramadan as being not only against the basic tenets of Islam but also against the most fundamental and normative values of humanity, all of which call for the sanctity of human life. This barbaric act also contravenes Article 3 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights which in no uncertain terms states “Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.” This latest attack follows a pattern of terrorist attacks that clearly demonstrate that Alshabab is not pursuing a Somali agenda that includes reconciliation and peace but instead, is determined to place Somalia in the dangerous vortex of international terrorism. On December 3, 2009 Alshabab staged a similar attack in Hotel Shamo suicide bombing, which claimed the lives of many Somalis including three Ministers of the Transitional Federal Government, about a dozen graduating medical students and injured more than 60 civilians, making it the deadliest attack in Somalia since the Beledweyne Bombing on 18 June 2009. In the latter incident, Alshabab murdered the Minister of National Security, a Somali diplomat, a dozen traditional elders and scores of civilians. We impress upon the Alshabab leadership that these actions are inhuman, barbaric, and illegal under Islamic Law as well as International Law and constitutes crimes against humanity. We urge the international community and the Somali people to take a strong stand against Alshabab, as it has proven to be a major threat to peace in Somalia and poses greater threat to peace in the region and the world. We also condemn Hizbul Islam for its role in destabilizing Somalia and remind its leadership that their actions and alliance with Alshabab make them complicit in the criminal acts against innocent civilians. We are appalled by the growing humanitarian crisis unfolding in Somalia as a result of the ongoing conflict, which has resulted in mass killings and human displacement. We urge the international community to treat the Somali humanitarian crisis as an emergency, worthy of the response it has shown in other emergency humanitarian crisis. While AMISOM’s presence is authorized by a United Nation’s mandate to protect Somali government institutions, it is also obliged under international laws not to harm civilians. We deplore AMISOM’s defensive but otherwise indiscriminate shelling of civilians, which constitutes a disproportional response to the actions of its opponent. Lastly, we urge the leadership of the TFG to vigorously examine the wisdom of its forces and AMISOM fighting a conventional warfare in a major city and also remind them of their obligations under international law not to harm civilians. 9. September 16, 2010 http://www.criticalthreats.org - The Somali parliament will reconvene Thursday to decide the political future of Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, as his rift with President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed over the proposed constitution deepens. Prime Minister Sharmarke told reporters in Nairobi last week that his dispute with President Ahmed was “a mere disagreement” and called for a more unified TFG. In Mogadishu Wednesday, President Ahmed told parliament that the prime minister had not delivered on his promises. “I was named to choose the prime minister,” he said. “If he fails to perform his duties I have to get back to you about it. I can’t be utterly quiet as Somalia’s future is being destroyed.” - United Nations Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights Kyung-wha Kang concluded a three-day tour of Kenya, Somaliland and Puntland Wednesday. In a statement to reporters, Ms. Kang said that she came away from the visit “with a profound sense that we can - and must - do more now to contribute to Somali efforts to create a peaceful and prosperous country in the long run.” She also condemned in the strongest words possible “the ruthless attacks and abuses against civilians by the al Shabaab and other armed groups.” - Al Shabaab militants held a rally in Mogadishu Wednesday to protest a now cancelled Quran burning by a Florida pastor. According to witnesses, thousands gathered in a Mogadishu stadium and chanted “God is great” and “Down with America.” Al Shabaab spokesman Sheikh Ali Mohamed Rage said that “the Americans are trying to hide these evil acts from the public but we know and we saw what they did.” He added, “This will draw immediate retaliation from the billions of Muslims around the world.” -IDPs living in Somalia’s Afgoi corridor are being forced to once again relocate as property owners in the area have begun to sell the land on which the IDPs live. One journalist reported that “many of those who are acquiring the land are said to be people with piracy links.” He also added the buyers were “flush with cash and offering inflated prices for the land.” Many of the IDP families are reportedly moving further away from the corridor and out of the reach of aid groups. - Al Shabaab spokesman, Ali Mohamed Rage, also known as Ali Dhere, said Wednesday that three aid groups – Mercy Corps, Med-Air and Horn Relief – have been expelled from the country by the militant group for "propagating Western ideology to the Somali people.” He also said that al Shabaab would retaliate against the organizations if they failed to leave the country. How about you leave our country Ali Uraayoow.

Haddey ayaga urrur sameysteena, urruru badan ayaa ka danbeyn doona oo la dagaalami doono, oo qof xasuuq ku noolan karo ama aqbalaayo inta ka hartey cimrigiisa ma jirto, Soomalina waaba ka daran. 15. lol@timirtii carabta.... They cheer when they hear on the news that 100 Somalis died, so I'm not sure what you expect from their likes. Dhiig Somali kuma jiro kuwaan, meel ay ka imaadeena lama oga. Markii AS laga xaaqo dhulka Soomaliyeed xagey aadi doonaan ayaan rabaa inaan ogaado. I'm collecting pictures of anyone preaching AS propoganda.
  16. No representative was invited from the President’s Office I wonder why? From the Somali side, the International Community has engaged as usual Sharif Hassan Sh Aden, the Speaker of Parliament, as its partner in this new endeavor. The train of the “Constitution-Based Initiative” has left station and the President has limited options. The dominance of the International community in the governance of Somalia has permitted the disregard of all constitutional, legal and administrative procedures as well as disregard of internal accountability and transparency requirements. Some have suggested that the Attorney General should investigate if the Speaker and the PM committed abuse of power within the framework of the Transitional Federal Charter, which has less value than the paper it is written on. Feer iyo xusul ayey u baahan yihiin not jail. If for some reason, there is determined need to adopt a federal system, Somalis must reach freely, thoughtfully and deliberatively that conclusion. Presently, the Federal system is Ethiopia’s leverage against the long term socio-economic and political stability and development of Somalia. One point that is worthwhile mentioning here is the status of Puntland and Somaliland. These two Administrations are mutually exclusive or overlapping which means if Somaliland’s claim is accepted , there will be no Puntland. If Puntland’s claim is accepted, there will be no Somaliland. In addition, a new Regional State called Sol, Sanag and Aynabo (SSA) has born between Somaliland and Puntland. Other Regional States are GalMudug, Himan and Heeb, Hiiranland, Central State, Waadi and Waax while others may follow soon. Nine of the ten regions in South Central Somalia are under the control of the internationally proscribed terrorist Organization Al Shabab. The remaining eight regions are in Somaliland and Puntland. AS halugu isugu tago, Afghanistan halagu celiyo haddii nabad la rabo. Federal intee loo ordaayo, waraabayaashaan wey sii weynaanooyaan mar dhow meel walba ayay ka soo bixi doonaan ayagoo is qarxinaayo.
  17. looooool....will talk in 9months IA, and compare notes. Anigu koley, waxaan baranooyaa sida loo gabyo these days, adigu bal wax na tus. Adigoo Soomali qoraayana halagu arko (aniga inaad iga badiso waan ogahay xataa). I got to go now, will talk soon IA. Have a good one walaal.
  18. Soomalinimo is synonomous with poetry (land of the poets). I started not long ago to listen to suuganta somaliyeed, and learned a great deal about my culture and language. So you see, It is never too late for you, just like is never too late for the chief to turn things around in Mogadishu.
  19. I agree with you Generale, the focus should be on our people. We will see what happens inside the Villa very soon. May Allah help our people. p.s. If you have wadani songs (xataa PL) post them. I know you listen to music.
  20. Haddii wax asaga ka fiican la helaayo hala keeno, and I will welcome him or her with open arms. Markuu qudbeynayey, waxaan u maleeyey inuu buugeyga aqristey. Mahadsanid Generale, bal anigana aan kuu tuuro hadal fiican. Faroole hadduu kartidaada yeelan lahaa, Atam buurtiisa nabad ayuu u joogi lahaa. Haddii Shariif iyo Cumar qaxwa isla cabaan keligooda, I believe iney xalin karaan khilaafka dhex taagan.
  21. lol Wixii shaqeynaayo ayaan shaqada habeeya ku dhahaa, taasna waa leadership quality oo loo dhasho!
  22. Aniga waa lay shaqeeyaa, ooooh the luxury! Multitasking is an art.
