I am not against it, if anything I am for the reinstatement however I was just stating the reason why they decided against using the Osmaniya script and went with the Latin one instead.

Looks a lot like the Amharic script. There is a reason why Somalis abandoned the native scripts such as Osmanya, Wadaado, Borama and adopted the Latin script. It was more practical and financially efficient.

I think Maay Maay is such a beautiful, under-rated and dying dialect. Growing up, all my neighbors and childhood friends spoke Maay Maay dialect which is why I am able to fully understand it. Here is Libaan From "Australian Idol" singing Hassan Adan Samatar original song. I think it is a superb song and Mashallah can Libaan sing!!
