I think this is an issue in almost every culture....the hus/wife and the inlaws rarely get along......and u cant say its always because of the inlaws or its always because of the hus/wife....there r those evil inlaws or evil hus/wife...!!! Sometimes they can be both nice pple who get along just fine....!!! I'de say if ur inlaws r one of those pple who make life a livin' hell for u, talk about it with ur hus/wife.....most of the times u can come up with some sort of a solution.....!!! With somalis, it seems like they jump to divorce without solvin' the problem.....!!! Interestin' Libaax....!!! I read a similar article once and what shocks me is that pple still argue that qaad is not a drug.....therefore, in their opinion, it is not xaraam...!! U cant blame them either cuz many of them just dont know the facts about qaad....!!! There r a lot of somalis at my college too....but they dont really run away from each others.......i think the majority of us know each others but we dont really hang out and stuff.....we might sit together, exchange books, and study together at school but not go out or chill together outside of the college...!!! I so agree with The Rock's Girl........males and females r meant to be together or without each others.......even though i have a number of male friends......but at some point like TRC said, i had a crush on them or they came out of the closet with their feelings for me........!!! I had this really close friend of mine, the guy got married and i was expectin' our relationship to weaken a little.....instead we became closer...till oneday he told me he loved me more than his wife but couldnt do anythin' about it cuz he's married and i had a boyfriend...!!! Walaahi i was shocked....i felt terrible cuz i imagined myself bein' in his wife's shoes.....we stopped talkin' for like months, and now he's divorced...!!!
