when I use to live in Toronto I use to go to this old East European woman to shave my head. Great storyteller she was and bit of a nut .... the woman would ask if you wanted your hair if you refused she would use it to make soft sculpture and puppets.

The most adventurous thing I have done would have to be hitchhiking every year with a good friend of mine since we were both 18. We met five years ago and decided that we both wanted to see Canada and did not want to waste too much money on travel. So we came up with a plan that in the summer when we were both finished school and had a bit of money saved we would both go to the 401 and toss a coin for east or west. Heads for east and tails for west, and whichever way the coin landd that's where we were going as far east and west as we could go. This is how I got to see all of Canada from Leslieville, Newfoundland to Salt Spring Island British Columbia

Okay so I am in love with the community I am living in now. Okay to the west Of where I live are the rocky mountains and to the east is the Yukon river. The population is give or take 2000 people. And the summer equinox is upon us. Yesterday the sun set at 11:00 pm and each day the days will get longer until we are in eternal sunshine for the summer months ( literally the sun does not set it always looks like it will but never does) further west is a carbou trail that the Inuit have been following for generations and further west of that is a small community of 500 people of mostly Inuit. And everyone is soo nice like give you their house and kids nice and not be suspicous of you at all. If I didn't have school keeping me in T.O ...I would relocate in a second.... le sigh
