  5. when i said that there was no use in us "bickering over it", i was referring to the mistake I made on my part when I confused the word “preference” and the phrase about “stating something is better, or one is uglier than the other”…saying that both the word and the phrase had no relation whatsoever I'm well aware of that, but thanks for being so kind as to direct me to look over it once more. There's really nothing like being told what you already know. ……but that was it …I still wanted to “nit-pick” on a few other things Yes, I understand you wanted to stop bickering over that and to quarrel over other things. ( well actually just one thing!), which is why I also said” going back to what you said”….so if it did seem like I was bickering, arguing, challenging, nit picking…ETC, I was… Thats all I needed to hear I see no use in a“further challenge” ……. Is that you way of saying let's bury the hatchet?
  6. double posted ignore if necessary
  7. I guess all thats left now is to disappear again and come back with a different username now that the cats out of the bag
  8. ....so no use in bickering over that anymore....but going back to what you said You said no use bickering over it BUT...going back to what you said.... that seems like bickering to me at the very least and harmless aproach it may be even nit picking. Nit picking is a form of bickering. hmmm let see now; lets not bicker, but argue is what your trying to convey or maybe I'm reading you wrong. After all what you did say was very muddled about. I could further challenge and maybe in due time I will, but for now I think we agreed to disagree. End of discussion. OOPS I meant Pixie! By the way what does pyromaniac pixie mean? pyromaniac= someone who is either obessesed or fascinated with fire often causing fires or setting things on fire pixie: the darker aspect of a fairy. If you want an in depth explanation check this topic out whats a pixie
  9. Princess sexy and I aren't the same person. My name was in the list, I like my name. So you might want to address her only.
  10. Actually he did...he said that he found the arabic names to be ugly.........and that the somalian names were BETTER than the arabic ones..... better, nicer, prettier...more unique, more beautiful. If someone has a preference for something over something else(in this case Somali names over Arabic names) they usaully think its better or nicer of course everyone has their own preferences....but theirs a difference between preferring a name, as opposed to saying that certain names are better than others..... No, there isn't think long and hard on it...its the same thing That's the beauty of preference. When someone has a preference for something they usaully think its better than whatever is the competition. OR certain names are just plain ugly preference is apart of opinion. You seem like a smart person so no need to explain
  11. Nice try Shyhem, but not quite..... A Pixie is a small creature usaully found in Ireland and The British Isles (the word pixie itself is Gaelic) very similar to a fairy except they are angry and happy at the same time (fairies are aloof) they laugh at humans misfortunes and if there is no misfortune for humans they create them. They are said to be very cute! big eyes, pointed ears, short hair and the size of a human hand they either resemble pretty boys or girls. All in all they are fantasy creatures that are known for being playful and mischevious and adoringly evil . They are apart of Celtic folklore along with Lepraucahns, banshees, faeries, fairies and elfin. Doesn't anyone read fantasy books? or read books of specific folklores? Anyways Shyhem was close, but he described only the characteristics pixies are known for. So if someone ever says "oh your such a pixie" they mean you are playful and mischevious. Xafsa: Scary is good sometimes. I think this name suits me better its evil, mischevious, and sets fire to humans...er... I... mean causes misfortunes to get a good laugh rather than some cutie.

  13. ^^^One question: how is he knocking down muslim names when he didn't say anything bad about Muslim names? the poster just stated his preference for Somali names. Everyone has their preferences so let them be.
  14. One of my unrhyming absract poems...I call this one morphing stones Different shapes, but same objects Diverse as everybody on this earth Oval as the eggs served on Sunday mornings Uneven edges as blue mountains Cracked, but still whole Transforming colours like the sky From blue to black way up high Smooth as the silk top I slipped on last night The rocks and stones are crops Of the salt and sea
  15. ^^^^ not every psychopath that breaks into your home to fondle your feet is a rapist (its called fetish, a feet fetish to be more exact) The whole article is funny... just goes to show how far some people will go to be close to something they are semi-obsessed with even if it is at times illegal.
  16. For the non Canadians who are still scratching their heads over Edmonton its the capital of Alberta which is bordered by Sascatchewan (prarie province) and British Columbia Simplicity: a few friends of the family live there so there is definetly Somalis dispersed in Alberta (less in Edmonton than Calgary)
  17. Xafsa: I'm still here not as often as I use to be though
  18. I can't beleive people are still scared away by SARS! heres some reassurance for the people coming for caribana to Toronto you have a better chance of being struck by lightning (I hope that helped)
  19. Og_moti what I don't understand is you felt bad for that chicken so you stopped eating chicken altogether...And then after a few months you went back to eating chicken all over again even though you cried for one (I'm very confused)
  20. Does this mean I need to get a life too? (nobody answer that question, it will come to me...eventually)----------------------------- --------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------ Yeah, I need to get a life soon
  21. This is one of my poems I didn't post it in the poetry section because I want to discuss it here. I call it ________________________________________________ Individual Carbon Copies We are very different you and I As a celebration let's link arms And deeply sigh Orginal Unique Individual Does chanting this cliche Make it permanent or conditional? I'm original And so are you I'm unique And so are you I'm an individual Trust me your one of those too Different Yes, we are differnt But we overlook the fact We're all exactly the same We all walk a straight line To make your own is a great shame We are all judemental We're all denying If there is or was anything exceptional With our own neglected abilities There is no trying Human Beings A.K.A the rat race Bunched together in crowds We're all just similar faces If you want you can ignore It may just give you some temporary relief After all you probably Don't have the same beliefs Don't let my crazy thoughts Get to you Cause when you think on them They are very mundane Just another carbon copy Shared personality, questions and answers with everyone else We are all exactly the same ________________________________________________ What I want to discuss here is why do all people pride themselves on being unique. The questions that are being asked has been asked before by others before you and will continue to be asked when you are long gone. What you say now and think unique has been thought or said before. Are we thinking the same when we think we are different ? By repeating the mantra over and over I'm not like them I 'm different does it make it true? or more beleivable?
  22. I'm not intimidated by guys....I intimidate them something about having b!tch written all over me
  23. Friendship is something thats built over a period of years and takes seconds to shatter. How true is this cliche....very hauntingly true. In life we live as we are born... alone. Of course we like to think we aren't. We have our significant other, or families and our firends and multitudes of people we surrond ourselves with. However, For humans there is always an detachment from other people. Yes, you may love them, but you can't agree with them on everything and you can't agree with yourself on everything. Thus people may be close to you, but they are subconcsiously held at bay so you don't hurt them, drive them away, etc,. because of the prevailing fear in being alone ,living alone and dying alone.... We fear solitude... so we learn to endure others contrasting opinions (minimally or to a large extent) by keeping our mouths shut.
