I agree with Raxmah- its really hard imagining loving someone whose bad for you. Honestly i dont know how people do it in genearl. If for instance my significant other was "crack-head aka qaat chewer lol) whose up all night yappyin and chimpy about life..shit wont work- i got work,school, life, family tend to..how they hell is he gonna sleep all day while am working my *** off..please. 1. it shows his not motivated in working, thereby quit a job every 2weeks. 2.that he'd be a bum-stay at home couch patato- hahaa allah...IF THAT DOESNT CALL FOR DIVORCE PAPERS TO FLY- DONT KNOW WHAT WILL.UFF Second scernio- if for instance he was abusive but loved you to death. 1.abusive people tend to have reasons why the choice strength over mind..serious childhood issues,incompaniate in arguing..not very expressive thereby take his hand as matter of tool. 2.abusive people also tend to be jealous, so if you're with grp of people at wedding for instance and you're saying c/salamiku to new cousin (which you were introduced to) he'll get jealous, which will lead to verbal and physical collision. Although, these two scenrio's are bit extreme, it pretty much generates how difficult sh1t gets. So if its something that will change me (personally) from the time i have met (my significant other) into a nagtive direction...sh1t is ovah..i watch the signs good and 3yrs of research too lolllol... I hate when i see somali sistah not even cracking a smile at their wedding, either their scared (how all the attention is on em) or simply arent the party-dancing duet. It's something we do automatically, regardless of how wild and crazy one was years ago, things change -espically the wedding night. Actually am bit puzzled, how is it that a journalist can under mind and manipulate the head government- police cheif. Isnt there some sort of guidlines and regulation a new officer undergoes or is all irrelvent due to race. I hold a mixture of feelings of laws both in the united states and europe. Honest suggestion.... I would recommend that you pray ...forgot the name of that surat you read but i know how it goes...and it pretty much states of what i intrepret it..is when your at conflict with yourself whether its moving you're deciding on or a love of your life....just pray and see how your heart feels...if your still thinking of her and nothing else..then do take the time and talk to her and if after the prayer you feel as though, they're been a change of heart then allah knew what was best for you. so you might wanna rethink that. But if she's miles and miles away..... she's.... OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND LOL.. But all honesty, if you're meant to be with one anotha, your lives will cross each other somewhere on this earth....have your trust in allah 1 and i move on .....

Safii, am right there with you. Stressing doesnt even suit what am going under this semster. Man oh man, $hit gets no easier. Undoubtly it will have an affect on all minorities (yes including somalis) although, some of us like to think otherwise. Either be for it and learn the outcomes of (A.A)or isolate yourself from being more knowledgable of what's going on in your society. Its your CALL. Quite frankly am tired of somali people always thinking A.A is to help African Americans and not the rest of the minorities. Think about it, had A.A not exist where would we (somalis) be...? Walaahi am taking African Studies Class this semester and each and every time am bombarded with insights of things i' had not even came to realization to. So getting back to my question...."had not been the routes African Americans took, how would we have suffered in this country"...had it not been for all those dramatic leaders as Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, Harriett Tubman? In my opinion, they fled the country for us. They along with others got ride of racism, fought for equallbrium state, school, and society etc. All am trying to state here is; what those people did, we should appreicate because had they not stepped up...we would of been lynched day in and day out for talking back, challenging white supermacy etc.SO THINK B4 YOU REACT. So let us be knoweldge (somalis) walaahi each and everytime i enter chat forums and see people being igrorant is sad and makes me think...(why are they close minded)
