    Somali Jews

Shock! Horror! Shock! Maseebo! Next you'll be telling us that Camels can be found in Australia and the Middle East! I even heard a ridiculous rumour that in some remote parts of Mauritania they have (gulp), erm, eeen, err..NOMADS! Seriously though, I don't know if this story is true or not but it really is not that important, is it? If there are Somali Jews, so what? They'll be a minority in Somali Society and they don't really pose a threat to our way of life. Live and let live, my brother. Live and let live.
  2. ^^^Heh. Capitalism in its truest form there! No interference from government, private ownership of most economic resources and capital goods and the price is set by market forces! Competition is fierce and the haves rule the have-nots! It’s quite funny that when the Americans (synonyms with capitalism) left after Operation Restore Hope, they didn’t realise that they’ve left the only country in the world that can truly claim to be a capitalist utopia. I suppose the owners of those business’s can now claim to be bourgeoisie. Heh. I used to listen to STN Radio. They used to broadcast the news in Somali and Arabic. Good station.
  3. Pardon my ignorance, but is the bird photo below a Somali one? Or are they called that in the same way some breeds of cats are called Somali?
  4. I was talking about the face. The bit on the hands is even nicer.
  5. ^^^ Me no comprende! ma fahanto hadalkaga, mate. What birth mark?
  6. Warya Mr Axsantu, have you lost your mind, man? Don’t go around telling these young girls that love doesn’t exist. This is the only hope we have to get all these young girls married off. You never know, you might want to have a second wife one of those days, eh! Girls, girls, I know from reading my above lines you’re now getting the impression that LOVE is a concept invented by men to fool young impressionable girls into marrying them. Nothing is further from the truth. Trust me. LOVE does exist. XISBI here is just trying to reclaim his independence. Don’t think he wrote those words without thinking about them deeply in advance. You’re all jumping on his words and criticising, deriding and judging him already. But, do you know how hard it is for him? Can you see his face as he types these words? Do you feel his pain while he commits this unforgivable betrayal? Of course you don’t. You just believe everything he writes and think that the guy is not in Love. Well, you’re wrong. He’s deeply in Love. He’s so much in love that he’s starting to find it hard to handle. He just can’t understand that irrepressible feeling when someone loses total control of their senses and give their entire life to someone else. He’s a man and he has to massage his ego (as everyone of us has the right to do so). But, he’s so much in love that the only place he can flex his muscles and reclaim his masculinity is this website. He can’t go around telling friends that he’s not in love (for the news my reach his beloved and he wouldn’t want to hurt her). Here he can easily claim not to be in love (hell, he can claim to be Buzz Lightyear if he wanted). Having said that, don’t assume for a minute that tears are not streaking down his face as he types those words. I feel you pain, man. I’m starting to get tired of this single life – wont’ somebody marry me?
  7. Cute-lilgirl, “turn on” sounds a bit vulgar to me. I’m assuming that this is a family website, thus I wouldn’t dream of corrupting the young minds in here with the varied assortment of things that “turns me on”. Lets just talk about things that make me smile instead. The photo below does! Look at all that beauty, dear. What makes her even more beautiful is the fact that she doesn’t seem to have any makeup on! MMMMMmmmmmm! ** Daydreams**
  8. I know in Islam suicide is a Haram act, but I think a few of you are being alittle emotionless. We should let Allah punish her for her sins and refrain from judging and condemning her ourselves. As an English member of parliament would say: I refer the honourable lady to the post I made earlier. Still, meeting all these people and getting emotionally attached to all their problems can't be that healthy for someone so young! Oh, well, I suppose it's gives you valuable experience in life. It will also (unfortunately) turn you into a bigger cynic than I am.
  9. ^^^That photo covers both. Here a gift for you..
  10. ^^^ You never said how old you like them!
  11. No need to thank me, dear. Just make sure you clean the floor afterwards
  12. I would have been interested in relieving you of those tickets, dear. Would have been an interesting evening by the sound of it. Alas, the heir to my throne's expected time of arrival will be on or around that date and I'd feel cheated if I wasn't given the opportunity of pacing up and down the corridors outside the delivery room upon his long awaited arrival. Good luck in finding a substitute (in fact, you're lucky I didn't go, my handsome features would have totally rained on your parade).
  13. What can I say, eh? Two games so far and I got both results right. I'm going to be all humble and modest now because, frankly, I'm getting tired of saying I, TOLD, YOU, SO! The Greeks beat the French!
  14. What a crazy way to annoy females. The red paint one is very rude, saaxib. Unless you’re a tailor or some sort of “backside” doctor, you have no business looking at women’s bottoms (red paint or not). See, a true Faarax would know that you’re trying too hard. With true Faaraxs, all it takes is a look! Some of the really good ones would stare and stare until the girl bursts into tears. But to attain that ability you need lots of practise and natural talent (i.e. piercing eyes). Alternatively, if your aim is to flirt only, then instead of the red paint story you’ll have to do the “Mud on googarad” scenario. You stop her and tell her she’s got mud on her clothes, she instinctively pulls her googarad up a little whereby you smile and mumble “eesh cala kobab”. You’ll probably get a slap but a true Faarax would smile again and say “ eesh cala dhirbaaxo”. Keep going with the praise until you either need an ambulance or a pen to write her number down.
  15. ^^ Looking forward to reading it, saaxib(if you'll post it here that is).
  16. If she were still alive I’d have a different take on things but since she committed suicide, I really am indifferent to the whole thing. I detest suicide and the feebleness of people who commit suicide. I loathe the misplaced pity people give to those who commit suicide. A mad person killing themselves is understandable but someone sane? Why should I waste my breath on someone like that? Suicide is a crime worse (or equal to) rape. It should be comprehended in such a way and looked upon with harshness and unreserved disgust.

    I thought as much!
  18. I see your point and totally agree, Nur. This is just a war on terror (or whatever new names are given to new wars). The War on Islam started over a thousand year ago and is not likely to end soon. No point in arguing over the finer details of politics, better worry about the fifth column we seem to have within. This is the war that should concern us more. Plus, it’s also the one we’re more likely to win.
  19. 508, let the girls be, man. This is their right of passage. All young, single girls moan and whinge about the bad treatment of Somali women. In some parts, they’re right but they exaggerate things so much it ends up sounding as if they hate life, men and equality! Never fear though, saaxib. This is a temporary affliction. At times it can also be interpreted as a cry for help! Here she is, young, beautiful, intelligent and extremely charming. How could the world not take notice of all that? How could society give most of their attention to some Faarax who seems to be a lesser person than her in everyway? It’s a travesty! Don’t people see the SUN when it shines? Don’t they see the MOON on a lovely clear night? How could they not notice her (the sun, moon and stars all rolled into one)? Yet, they have no problem noticing some silly howling Wolf? She demands equality, she wants to be treated and regarded in the same way as the undeserving Wolf. She will not rest until her demands are met. One day, they all get married and leave all the rage of youth behind. Now, they have a responsibility and a place in society. Now, they can look down on single feminists and say to them “Oohinta badan jooji oo wax esko fal”. Now, they’re in a position of “authority” and can dispense advice to all and sundry. Now, they can sit back and look at all their young sisters fighting for “equality” and smile to themselves thinking “ I can’t believe I was once as angry as these girls!” Now, they get the chance to practise and implement all those customs they used to find abominable as young people. Now, they can put all their efforts and energy into maintaining the Somali way of life. Now, they can say there are no men better than OUR Somali men (and my husband is the best of the lot). Now, they can boast about their ability to cook an amazing feast, clean until everything shines and provide all the comforts and dedication required of a “good” Somali woman. Now, they can brag about having the best behaved children, best dressed husband, best decorated house and quickest and most comfortable way in accommodating visiting guests (no matter what time of day or night they arrive). Now, she’ll smile proudly about her ability to save, about her fruitful efforts to keep her house a good Muslim home. Now, most importantly now, she will vehemently display her total rejection of Western ideas of equality and feminism. But, until that day comes, stop raining on their parade, saaxib. PS The equality of men and women only really matters in Allah’s (swt) judgment. I’m not aware that they get a discount in this case. How's that for a rant, macaanto?
  20. The fact that the game finished as I predicted (2-2 with England losing on penalties was just a lucky guess). But, the fact that England has lost was not a hard guess to make. Ahem, let me clear my throat and say very loudly that I. TOLD. YOU. SO! Now, lets watch the Greeks embarrass Le Blues.
  21. The Wisdom of Beckham: Reporter: Was Wayne Rooney disappointed to lose his youngest goalscorer record on Monday to the Swiss lad? David Beckham: No, it'll just make him even more determined to get it back against Portugal.

** Still pretending that I don’t understand ** PS If you’re my long lost brother, that one might turn out to be my long lost sister! (Pssst) I’m not very fond of her vicious tongue. Waan ka kibraya dee
  23. Amazing! On one thread Salfi and Sahal are arguing about The Saudi Scholars and their reluctance to denounce the Saudi government for seeking the support (and advice of the West). Here, the tables have turned; Salafi is implying that Muslims should not seek to befriend, consult or advice non-Muslims, while Sahal has taken the position of the defender! If I was confused before, I’m definitely perplexed now. Can you guys just steer clear of each other please? You’re not doing yourselves or anyone else any good by quarrelling in such a way. I’m more than sure though, that each of you has valuable contribution to make to this board. Try to cut down on the musical chairs a bit if you can. This is not a criticism of either of you so please don’t take offence and if you do, I hope you have it in your hearts to forgive.

I think the best and safest policy here for me is to pretend that I didn’t understand that. PS Sounds like DA is offering, man
