Hmmmm....

^^ That's that's Jb's answer machine, I think. Do you have enough rasaas for an all out dagaal? Don't let your anger get the better of you if you don't have enough to ensure a win. Is there no way that you can become a "gun loader" instead of a direct shooter? In other words, can't you use someone else to do your dirty work? (it's much easier that way).

^^ The "sisters" will give you an emotionally charged response that is not going to do you any good, Juxa. Aniga i la hadal dee. Qofkaan xun aad sheegayso; ma xaga shaqada ku xunyahay mise waa personality? At any rate, your first step should always be amaaan and over the top compliments. That usually goes to either save you from their wrath (because they start thinking you're on their side) or it will scare them into behaving around you (because they realise that your amaan is not real).

First in, AGAIN! Morning all.

^^ Targeted? Again, Hollywood is in it for the money warya. If a story doesn't sell, they will not waste their money making the movie. "Terror" stories sell (regardless of the origin of the said terror). Wax fahan.

^^ It wasn't one hour, it was SIX HOURS.

^^ Finance is the least of your problems. Everyone borrows. But the rest still stands.

^^ Blessed, despite all her protestations, is actually SOL's offical representative to Burco. (I know nothing about the city; habeen ban galay isla habeenka ban ka baxay. All I remember are the sounds of tens of little kids running past me as I sat in a dark maqaaxi hearing people speak around me but never seeing any of them).

^^ Only for a mind that is willing to be sawyed by suppositions and half truths, saaxib. It's almost like a hollywood movie really.

Double post. But let me take this opportunity to ask you all to WAKE UP!

^^ I refer to hounourable gentleman to my earlier reply! NGONGE;828393 wrote: In 13 years? And you say you're not a dreamer! If Somalia manages to establish proper systems of government. If it can maintain peace. If it can begin a sembelance of a rebuilding process and if it can improve (at least to the minumum requirement) its health care and education in the next thirteen years then you are into a winner, saaxib. Airplanes, trains and trams waa hadalada qof xalwo ka dergay ee naga daa sheeko jinnka ninyaho.

^^ You actually do. Nothing in what you posted on this thread proves any of the allegations you make. Wax fahan.

^^ Computers were down at my office until about ten minutes ago.

Malika;920266 wrote: Ngonge, wanted to share this with you - baal aan maskaxda kaa shaqeysino.. "The last 20 years of Somalia have shown the dangers of ethnic competition and underscore the importance of building nations around ideas rather than clan identities." By Calestous Juma -International development professor at Harvard University http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-20465752 Just a year or two ago, you and your guru were singing from the same hymms - due to 'clan is everything politics' waad aragtee sidhaa iisuu gashaan beriyahaan.... That's where we disagree, Malika. I believe that what the professor wrote above to be nothing but stuff and nonsense when it comes to the Somali problem. In those twenty years that you and he mention, you and many of those that support moving away from clan politics have not managed to move the debate one single inch forward and the clan politics still looms large over anything related to Somali politics. Do I think it's not possible to move away from clan politics? No, I don't. However, I believe that the only way for people to do that is if the truth is told. Myself and the guru are disagreeing today but our disagreement takes place within the walls of SL. He is in political opposition to the ruling party today but neither he nor his clan are playing that zero sum game that the professor is talking about (they don't want to destroy the SL process or remove Siilaanyo by force). And, more importantly, they are bringing their clannish opposition out in the open (in the same way that Siilaanyo did when the was a member of the opposition). It is that honesty of discourse that is missing from Somalia's politics and has been its biggest obstacle for the past twenty years. It is great to have these noble ideas and aims but you still have to find a way to make them work in practice. To do so, you have to tackle the clan jinni first; to tackle it, you have to admit its existance first. I fear that most of those disparging the clan politics never (really) admit the problem itself and are forever veiwing it as something that which will go away if it were ignored. I don't think that's true, Malika. Somalia will only be fully fixed when people start working with each, they'll only work with each other when they accept their clan differences and make compromises. They recently did (in all those meetings for the constitution and the election of president). They have to carry on doing so without the sideways talk of political parties and other far off dreams. Wax fahan.

What are the Chinese up to here? I thought they were into family planning and stopping the endless increase in their population. Surely they should be championing these women!

^^ What £50? He didn't understand anything.

^^ Haa. Took the morning off, but I'm here now.
-
^^ And again, yaahuu!

^^ Horta Che just keeps on digging even though he knows Alpha and Haatu are lapping this stuff up for later use. Waa nin gaaban oo waliba gabadh o talisa is a problem ninyaho. :D

^^ I think the correct Somali reply to Ibti's comment above is a loud and hearty: Yaahuuu!
-
^^ Nope. I'm too busy typing in SOL to bark. (but I'll have a dig or two).

Rahima, you have to try it with the most important stuff. Just sit back and let someone else do it even when you think it will be the biggest disaster. The next day, when you come back and see that the world didn't end (despite the person doing the job wrong) you'll know that delegation is not bad. That is unless of course you don't suffer from some ocd obsession.
-
^^ I delegate a lot, Rahima. But, yes, I actually do LOTS of work (most of it verbal really, so it doesn't stop me from typing as I speak).

Funny how everyone made their checklist about the girl and not the guy who is clearly asking for a check list to determine readiness! It's a simple list, Africa. 1- Can you afford to look after more than one person? (mentally & financially) 2- Can you cope with another person under the same roof as you almost ALL the time? 3- Can you accept someone else going through your business and being involved in almost all you do? 4- Have you had enough of dating, makeups, breakups and chasing tail? 5- Do YOU feel ready? 6- Can you afford to look after more than one person? (mentally & financially) I personally think you're ready. In fact, you've been ready for a while ninyaho.
