The TFG will exits after Abdullahi Yusuf just as Puntland exited after Abduallhi Yusuf. He will for ever be remembered for a men that as brought dowladnimo back to the south and to the whole of Somalia. The founding father of Puntland State and the TFG. He has been a role player for the past 16 years. I am hoping for some one from North Somalia or the Clans of Mogdishu to be the next President of Somalia Puntland and other states will be rallying behind them because by than it will be a full scale dowlad that is huge powers in Somalia. Puntland being 1/3 of Somalia has and will ever play a leading role in Somali politics. Puntland has signficant influence when it comes to politics and a huge power holder in Somalia. I think it is in the best interse for Puntland state that the next President not to be from Puntland because it just puts to much attention to the state mostly negative that is not needed. Puntland will get more from the Dowlad if the Head of State isn't from Puntland. Their are other stragetic reasons that we will never know.

I want the US-Africa command in Somalia. South Somalia may I add. Kismayo or Mogdishu they can chose. We need the money more than Djibouti. -

^^^ It is way to clear your folks are asking for War in which they can not win. "The Ugandan force will be in charge of Mogadishu while the rest of the African peace keeping force will take over security in the port city of Kismayu and Baidoa, among other trouble spots" http://www.hiiraan.com/news2/2006/feb/d ... _week.aspx Reer-Gedo used JVA military hardware to get into Kismayo but today JVA military hardware have been taken over by the dowlad. This whole kismayo fiasco just goes to show that Reer-Gedo are politically and militarily insignificant in Somalia at the moment and will stay that way for a long long time to come. So Axmad_Gurey go pick a fight and we will make sure a Ugandan or some other African puts a bullet up your ***. lol Clan wars are over so if you want to start up a fight your will face the whole dowlad and it's supporters. IF were looking for Puntand VS Gedo kinda war I am very sure it's to late cause we have asked for that kind of war before you and you always ran to your masters in Mogdishu. lol -

Axmad_Gurey Let this President leave power cause once he does Major of Kismayo won't be enought for reer-Puntland I will tell you that much. This federal administration has gone anywhere because of reer-puntland, their men-power and their money. We are and will always be more influential than you that beening said who do you think the administration after this one will favor? It is in our wishs that some one from Mogdishu or deep North becomes President next term that will be the time you will begin to understand reer puntland and their influential power. Kismayo will be our of your reach real soon just wait!!! -

They are a very numerous and influential clan in that city and the province overall, and will be given their fair share in the administration or it may as well not exist. Axmad_Gurey wasn't it you yesterday who said it wasn't about the new administration your clan was Whining about? I thought it was all about the bombing that took place in the city that your folks jumped guns and tried to blamed it on reer-Puntland since that didn't work it back to the administration. The new administration will stay as is the Parliament approved it and the President sign it. We will see how influential your clan really is in the coming days. I will tell you one thing you and your kind can wish all your like but reer-Puntland were in Kismayo before Abduallhi Yusuf and will stay after him. Nothing you say or do will change that and once you people understand that we will better understand each other. -

Majority of the somali ppl want to get on with their life so should awees's sub-clan -------------------------------------------------- Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) Addis Ababa Saturday, February 17, 2007 Uganda is reportedly preparing to send its first batch of peace-keeping troops to Somalia as early as today. The chief spokesman for Uganda's Ministry of Defence told VOA that Ugandan army Major General Levi Karuhanga has been tapped to command forces from at least five African Union member states contributing troops to help stabilize Somalia. The spokesman, Major Felix Kulayigye says that the 1,500 troops Uganda is sending to Somalia will be based in the country's capital, Mogadishu. "These are soldiers who have prepared for two years for that mission," he said. " They are well-seasoned combatants." They have been in counter-insurgency operations in northern Uganda. We are psychologically, physically and materially prepared, the spokesman added. Source: ENA, Feb 17, 2007

TFG troops take over more government areas in Mogadishu..
raadamiir replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
^^^How many times do we have to go over this? For god sakes...How can you say this Government has no support. First and for most it has support from the international community that is why international troops are being send there to help and support the TFG. And secondly Puntland, Jubaland Bay, Bakool, Hiiraan, Gedo, and ever other region in Somalia other than Somaliland it has full support from. Next time you want to talk non-sense first do your homework................. Viva TFG. -
^^^You guys sure have an Imaginary mind set of your own. Somalians always like to make something positive negative and Negative Positive no wonder Somalans aren't good in Math. lol

Aweys Osman Yusuf Mogadishu 16, Feb.07 ( Sh.M.Network) - The 1,500 Ugandan peacekeepers pledged to the African Union force for Somalia will be deployed solely in the country’s lawless capital Mogadishu, the peacekeeping mission said yesterday. The Ugandan force could go in as early as this weekend, and would secure Mogadishu while the AU awaits troops from other countries to arrive in other Somali cities, Paddy Ankunda, spokesman for the AU mission, said. Some 8,000 troops are expected in total. Uganda’s parliament voted on Tuesday to send troops to Somalia under an AU plan to pacify a nation rocked by unrelenting attacks by insurgents against the interim government. It is the first country to do so. “We can’t deploy all over Somalia. We’ll be in Mogadishu. 1,500 people is adequate (to secure Mogadishu),” Ankunda said. International pressure has grown for peacekeepers to deploy quickly to prevent the chaotic Horn of Africa country sliding back into anarchy after Ethiopian forces helped the transitional government oust Islamists in a December war. The Islamists had restored a degree of order to Mogadishu, which had been ruled by warlords since the overthrow of dictator Mohamed Siad Barre’s regime in 1991. But the US and Ethiopia accused them of harbouring Al Qaeda operatives. Nigeria, Burundi, Ghana and Malawi have also pledged troops, but it is unclear when they would mobilise them. “The other forces would have to take control of other main towns - Kismayu, Baidoa, Jowhar, Marka,” Ankunda said. “The African Union must compel (the others) to send forces.” But he added that the Ugandan troops were able to hold the fort by themselves until reinforcements arrive, because they had the necessary training and equipment, including knowledge of basic Somali language and culture. “We’ll move there first because we can stand on our own,” he said, adding that a Ugandan officer, Major-General Levi Karuhanga, had been appointed to head the mission. Meanwhile in Baidoa, where the interim government still has its main base while awaiting for security to improve in Mogadishu, Ethiopian Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin met government leaders. He arrived late on Tuesday. – (Reuters) Shabelle Media Network Somalia E-mail us: info@shabelle.net

^ well said. Kismayo belongs to all lets all forget the past and work for a better future. JVA days are over any one who trys to bring it back will die trying. Dowladdiid's days are over as well. My clan your Clan bullshit is going to be laid to rest. Ladies and genlemen we have a Government for god sakes!!! From what I understand Col Afgadud is being accused here for the bombing by the certain clan, no problem If Afgaduud was behind it he will be brought to justice, if not, then those who accused him will be brought to justice cause it's unlawfull to accused some one of high ranking like Col Afgaduud of such crime without hardcore evidence. ps:A New Somalia is in place in which no clan will dominate through the barrel of the gun. The dictator has been over thrown. My friends from Gedo don't worry we are not going to do to your guys what Siyad Barre did to us. -
A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil. But a fool is arrogant and careless. Resorting to violence acts, and promoting violence will not justify this doomed struggle to defeat the TFG. Sooner or later these cowards will be branded as anarchist. Somali terrists strike again this time in Kismayo city.I see this as another senseless acts committed by cowards? Perplexed by their unkindness towards the innocent people dying, what many supporters of Somali terrists considered casualty of war. This was a high value target involving Generals and Colenels but as always the innocent out number the target.

This was a high value target involving Generals and Colenels but as always the innocent out number the target. ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- KISMAYO, Somalia (Reuters) - An explosion tore through a ceremony in southern Somalia on Sunday, killing at least four people and wounding more than 20 others including senior military and police commanders, witnesses said. The attack on Kismayo's Independence Gardens was the latest post-war bloodshed in the Horn of Africa nation, which has endured almost daily violence since government forces backed by Ethiopian armour ousted an Islamist movement over the New Year. "There was a blast and people started running for their lives, all shouting 'bomb!, bomb!'," said Mohamed Daud, who was in the crowd. "Police started firing in all directions...Most of the wounded are civilians." Another witness, Abdulahi Mohamed, said he saw the bodies of two traditional elders, a civilian and a government soldier. A Reuters reporter at the ceremony said south Somalia's police chief, Gen. Ahmed Mohamed, was injured in the legs and face by shrapnel. Four Somali army colonels were also wounded. Speaking by telephone from Baidoa town, the interim government's defence minister, Abdikadir Adan Shire, confirmed people had died, but said he had not received a full report yet. The government says Islamist hardliners and some of their foreign supporters have launched near-daily mortar, rocket and gun attacks since the religious movement fled into the bush Kismayo, the last town the Islamists held, had been relatively peaceful. But three weeks ago, unidentified gunmen killed an Ethiopian soldier and wounded another in a shootout in the port, which lies 300 km (185 miles) south of Mogadishu. Source: Reuters, Feb 11, 2007 Most attacks have hit the capital, where residents say some of the recent violence may have been caused by feuding warlords who quickly returned to the city after the Islamists left. The Somalia Islamic Courts Council ruled most of the south by strict sharia law for about six months. The country has been without central rule since dictator Mohamed Siad Barre was overthrown in 1991. The latest attacks in Mogadishu killed at least three children on Saturday. One died when two rocket-propelled grenades were fired at a hotel hosting reconciliation talks. Diplomats have urged the world to back and fund an African Union (AU) mission to stabilise the country, but only about 4,000 troops have so far been pledged of the 8,000 called for.
