  1. ^Ninku film buu noo jilayaa. Tell Aaliya inaad jilbajoogsi ku tidhaahdid, "hani, I looof you feeery much" Even if you didn't want to, you couldn't afford not doing it
  2. Show si xun bey ugu dhacdey miskeenka I agree Che, some women have no mercy on poor fellas
  3. Get to work, lady...wali wakhti fiican baad heysataa And the most special seafront suite will be reserved for me, soo maha?
  4. ^Haraam, the middle east isn't that bad. On the contrary, many health services there are way better in terms of quality and efficiency than in N. America - and expertise too. Nephy, I think cosmetic dental procedures might cost a bit lower here than in the States. Look into it as well. I've been looking to get clear retainers for a while now - my once beautiful smile has been corrupted ever since I grew wisdom teeth
  5. Originally posted by Cadaan: This list must be only for Brits because honestly, I don't get most of those. I thought I was the only one, LoL. 30 doesn't sound so bad, but it feels so darn close. I always assumed I'd have my PhD out of the way by 30 - not happening.
  6. ^Aniguba waxooga wey iga yara wareerisay sheekadu Nonetheless, Congrats to br Hunguri; a blessed union, Insha Allah!
  7. ^This place missed his unique input, soo maha? LoL.
  8. Muqmad iyo malab from reerihii? I suspect waxa sadaxeeya, I think someone's ducaa was mustajab p.s if these dudes are going to berjayn anyways, mey sidii Hararida thikriga Allah ku mirqaaman instead of these lame heeso.
  9. ^Best wishes, Insha Allah. I can only imagine how difficult it must be undertaking your residency while pregnant - Allah ha kuu yasiro sis.
  10. I think it's a rather lovely poem. It's the typical naseexa/dua I would expect every mother, father, or a loved one to give their newly wed daughter/sister/friend (and her groom). I don't quite understand which part the ladies took offence to. Perhaps linguistic constraints are obscuring some of the wisdom the composer offers. I think we need to develop a little more open-mindedness and stop presuming that ever word a traditionalist (esp. a male) utters about a woman/wife implies male superiority, dictating a submissive role that denies a woman her Allah given rights as an individual. I only wish I could be one tenth the human being/woman/mother/wife/worshipper/professional my mother was and still is; any person who tells me to aspire to be like her and my aunts is a wise one who only wishes for my success. waa halis haween badan waa hudhud hablaha qaar e hadalkooda waad haadin hubiyoo hana oo kala huf wixii hadimada talnaayo haydaar horseedaaya hoygiina duminaaya hinaasaha wixii huriya hufiyoo been ka soo qaado halaan jirin ka soo qaado hoygaag ka soo qaado I really like this part; if only some women could heed this invaluable advice, many homes would be spared. Relevant to men as well. P.S. Thanks for posting it, Cabdiyo

  12. ^Let's hope that wasn't for sister Aaliya
  13. Aaliya, waan ku fahansanahay xabebi, even we follow that line of thought where a proposal is necessary, the poor guy will have already passed that whole 'pour his heart out' stage by the time he reaches the proposal stage, isn't it? Calaacal bores me Anyways, I shall not ruin your fantasy proposal. MAy Allah provide you with one who proposes on a bended knee while serenading you. Ameen dhe.
  14. ^Lol. Aaliyah, I've seen all kinds of 'soo doonasho' styles, dear - I tell ya, emailing is a big time saver These western cliches make me sick. Some pragmatism and logic is needed - if you were seriously considering each other for marriage to begin with, there shouldn't be a need for a second proposal, is there?
  15. ^It is assumed that he had his mind made up before coming for her hand, no?
  16. Or by email. I agree with NG - simple, really. Dumarku waxey kiiska isaga waalaan baa iga yaabiyey. I feel for men and the amount of bs they put up with.
  17. ^AVEDA hair products work well. Yeeeey, exams are over! Anyone planning to go see Seven Pounds this weekend? Hope it'll be worth it.
  18. Lol@ Cadaan. It's called is giijin! SK weather teaches you that. In any case, I am not planning to leave my warm apart for the next two weeks; come January is another issue altogther though.
  19. ^Not to mention the risk of emerging diseases and outbreaks with the regions current speed of urbanization, immigration, population growth, and trade. SOS, it couldn't have been that bad, could it? People who choose to settle there seem to be quite content with that lifestyle, in spite some of the sacrifice they must make. So when are you two planning to retire to your beloved geeljire lifestyle? All this talk of geel and miyi must have some substance to it
  20. Allah Macakum. Surprisingly, it's not that terrible in the west.
  21. ^Waliba Nafisa styleysan bey la baxdey...lakiin, maxaad ka rabtaa? There's no other nafisa around, is there? @Daba Qoodhi. War ninka saa ha ugalin. Nephy, strange he is, but Af****? Haraam! I still haven't given up on him
  22. Midlife crisis, NG? No worries, it shall pass
  23. And who might you be referring to. Too many of them around these days, don't you think?
  24. Aaliya, heh. My own accent isn't very off, dear. It should be a compliment that we can shrug off unneeded attention
  25. Cunsurigaad tahay maxaan dhahaa. why invite nimanka kaliya? I want in on the venture as well; I would make an excellent business partner, you know. Laakeen, you two have petty aims, cheap baad tihiin - habro iyo hagbad kulahaa I hope inuu Xiin idinka vision dheer yahay
