Is it me or the majority of guys in here have an extremely negative outlook on love, I mean using descriptions like an "illusion" or an "emotional torment", it almost seems as a trend among our guys and it does make me feel very sorry for them...I know that everyone experiences love differently and that ones experiences do influence their perceptions but just cuz u might have had a bad luck with love doesn't mean u have to doubt its existence...subhanallah, can u guys imagine life without love? As far as marrying without love...I guess taking a look at the somali divorce rate gives me enough answers!!

Legend..lol...I don't think u wanna know what "yata bataa" means cuz it's a bit deep but i'll tell u anyways..uhm...it basically means garac ...many parents use it just cuz they like the tone, obviouly no parent would mean it literally. As for qushaasha, as mire said, means qushaash baad tahay! It's funny what parents come up with when they're mad.

you can never go wrong with a nice cologne...it's my favourite gift to give anyways!

salaam Actually with me, My mom is like...honey I know I've raised a very responsible/moral daughter who's old enough to make her own decisions...but, it's one of my many older brothers who's a bit rude to guys when they call...And it's kinda understandable cuz brothers will always have a hard time adapting to the fact that their little sis has grown up and might be seeing some stranger. Now, MMA is right in that politeness/cell do help but at the end of the day, you need to confront your mom and tell her how u feel. Tell her that you're at a certain stage in your life where you think you're ready to talk or have relationships with men, and you need to reassure her that your very conservative about it and that everything is within the boundaries...lol..then finally, ask her what she thinks and do listen to her well! I hope that helps ya out a little

Asalamu alaikum bro's & sis's...it is indeed good to see you all again

Miss Burco, your not alone sweetie...lol..I was just gonna say is the dude suffering from split personality cuz I honestly don't get who he's referring to or what on earth he's really trying to say.

my father--> aggah...maxaad isla yeel yeeli, ma dhalaan baad ismooday (of course being a daddy's girl i never got this..but my poor brothers ) And when he was really mad...he'd say "najis yahow ama wiSHayzi yahow iga hor dhaqaaq" my mom...so cute --> Ilaahayow aabahay iga qaad if you don't finish this food or do this (and i'll be like, but mom, your father is already dead...somehow it always works for her ) this is when she's sad--> way aaan...means "ala anigaa" in harari. she also likes this saying..."ma anaa waalan misa cadan baa laga heesi"

Cushtic...forget the traits...i still wanna give you a big hug, poor baby and here i thought a rooster was bad, lol
-
Oooh...a ROOSTER, how exciting eh personally, i don't buy into horescopes but this one scared the heck outa me...it sooo described me  well on many parts at least. This is one of my favourite facts "Roosters like to go out with friends, and they will be the best-dressed one of the bunch--style counts with this sign, regardless of the cost" ...maybe not totally! And yea, Guyz, they said my best compatible match would be either an ox or a snake...hmmn, let's see if we have some in da house first, then maybe we can work sumthin' out

ugh!...i hate when they wear it like that  that defeats the whole purpose of the hijaab. But then again, let's not jump to any conclusions, maybe these sisters are just making fashion statements to begin with, and thus, they might not even have a religious motive. For the sisters who are well aware of the proper way of wearing a hijab and its signicance and yet still wear it this way...well may Allah(swt) give you his hadayah! No offence to all the sistas of course

Salam, Sis...i'm not in pharmacy but it's one area i have started to consider, I don't know if ur an undergrad or not but if you like chemistry ur good to go. It's a very interesting field to go into, it has many sub-fields ie, retail, industry, clinical (hot), i'm sure u've already done your research. As far as which university...to my knowledge, both carleton and Ottawa don't have pharmacy schools. But U of T, Edminton, Halifax are some of the ones that do have it, they offer bachelors in pharmacy then you can do 2 more yrs of pharma D program. However...if ur referring to which school is better for undergrad studies...i would say Waterloo all the way Besides, we need more somalis in here!

you know what you should do....stand in front of the mirror and give urself a big slap on the face...i would've happily volunteered had i known you personally and then tell urself what a punk you have been!! And yea, if you are a devoted Muslim, how could you ever betray and deceive an innocent girl who believed in you like this?? on a serious note, I can understand what your going through but making innocent girls pay for the pain one confused sista caused u, is to me a very immature, foolish and illogical way of dealing with your problem, and even if you play 10 other girls, you will not feel any better because you haven't really solved the core of your problem. The solution is being a real man and confronting yourself and asking yourself if this (the relationship) is what defined you as a person and remind yourself the purpose of life. There's more to life than some lame touchy feely love story. And another thing, you need to quit this sensitivity, because some girls are way too tough and view this as a sign of weakness, and unfortunately, u'll be nothing but a doormat to them. Then hopefully, you'll attain the strength and courage to stop clinging on to the past and move on with your life...who knows, maybe another perfect sister might come along, but this time, u will have learned ur lesson Baashi...there's something called jealousy walaalo, even the best wife types can be become jealous hence why so many happy homes have shattered...i just wonder when men will understand that this is a natural instict ALL women possess. You guyz just have to learn how to deal with it and avoid anything that elicits this in a woman.
-
Boycott...after seeing urs, i rest my case But honestly...where in the world did u come across a song like that...lol
-
Ughhh!...this is when some somali girls piss me of walaahi  is it me or ppl are just way too sensitive nowadays. Lilgirl...where on my post did u see me cussing u or say anything that was worthy of name-calling??...not that i need to justify myself but all i said was that i agreed with Tamina (who didn't even offend u) and that i didn't wanna be rude...subxanallah...If such thing compelled you to talk that way and call us "low lives", then all i need to say is MAy God help u cuz sweetie...hooskaagad ka didaysaa.

Hum tumara hai sanam and kuch kuch hota hai...oh r they ever exquisite...and yea IT IS Hindi, and u can laugh too. But i have been feeling a little....ah u guyz r clever, u can fill in the blanks

LADIES---- DO YOU THINK YOU CAN'T A FINE BROTHA IF YOU COVERED UP?
Haneefah replied to SafiaLuuL612's topic in General
sis, all i can say is, may Allah increase your imaan. I also agree with Ilhaam 100%...one has to know the significance of the hijaab before wearing it, then and only then will they start to understand that it is in their best advantage as muslim women in any aspect Ilham...whats up with a black hijaab sweetie...it's only like my favourite colour when it comes to hijaabs and it also goes well with everything , not to mention how it compliments our colour
