    Diraac

God, I can't read 10 pages about dirac so i'll just go ahead and write what I think about them. I actually like them, in fact most of what I wear at home is dirac...and wearing it for all females weddings is fun, sexy, makes you feel like marwo marwo, lol. But wearing it outside is a big NO NO, it's very revealing and very unislamic...I resently went to this somali mall in mpls... and a pregnant woman wearing a very see through dirac (well most are) with a litttle malkhabad wrapped around her neck came in...I was looking at how the men reacted as she passed by a lot of men who happened to be sitting there...and they all looked at her at once...you could totally see her body, it was as if she was walking with just a bra on...subhanallah, I honestly felt so sad and so embarrassed for her and I said in my mind, Allah Yahdiik...and it's really sad there's many like her out there...now that's when I condemn dirac.
  3. Hey, I could use a cool one too...something a little funky maybe.
  4. Ladies...once again thank you all. Malaika and Captivating...we are very much up for the challenge, idinka lee iskeena and you will get our special Canadian treatment...I assure you girls, it will top it all Miss Unique...You're not the only one trying to find the easy way out when it comes to med schools, I'll let you know more about McMaster and Ottawa university later Insha'Allah...believe me though...American schools are the easiest to get into. Tamina, don't worry hon, they'll have the conference next year Insha'Allah...and you'll have to come with me cuz I don't wanna be the only Canadian there and have them put me on the spot like this year, lol. And btw...are you sure you wanna invite the boys next time...girl, something tells me that it just won't be as much fun ...boys, y'll know I still luv ya right Asraa...I'm so sorry about your mom sweetie, I hope she gets better and Insha'Allah we'll pray for her...good luck macanto. Big mom...Thanks walaal, you're very kind and it would've been nice to meet you too xabibti. ..DId you say you saw me on TV...ala anigaa, I was really pissed about that cuz I didn't know they were gonna air it on TV..they should really let the participants know about these things next time.
  5. Do I really have to describe Miss Lexus? let's see...the only thing that instantly came to my mind was how rude and insensitive she is...well at least online...sorry hon
  6. Physical attributes are the starting point, they cause initial attraction regarless of the gender but that's only how far they will go because at the end of the day we fall in love with the individual and what makes them unique and separates them from the rest...and that would be their personality. And it is very much possible to get to know an individual on a personal level and get attracted to them wihout knowing their physical appearance. Personally, a person's diin and imaan would be top on the list...and also their ability of implementing it in their lives as Islam is a way of life. Their way of life in general, their intellect...we REALLY have to match emotionally and intellectually...and also, their knowledge and their patience with people and with life in general...these are just some important factors that attract me to a person but I have to admit...looks help a lot too Honestly though, considering the amount of emphasis society puts on physical appearance, it's hard to eliminate it totally from the equation!
  7. Salaam everyone, it seems like I've been away from sol forever...it's really good to see those cute little avatars again. Anyhow, I really wanna thank mpls/st.paul girls for being so nice and welcoming and organizing a great dinner for me and miss captivating...It was a wonderful dinner and I enjoyed meeting the girls, let me see if I can remember all the sol names Malaika- muah, you're just too adorable and like the most outgoing girl ever...my lil cousin still talks about ya...and ya know the only reason why I'm spreading good words about reer mpls is mostly b/c of you oh and thanks for introducing me to your mpls crew too. Mizz Unique- girl you amaze me walahi, waxaa socotoba ma siteey manoogtaad noqotay, lol, you're one funny and friendly sis...You still have to tell me more about beertii jaceylka or was it geedkii jaceylka Captivating_sista- very gracious sis who sure knows how to rock a dancing floor...you need to teach me some of those moves hon Asraa- such a sweet and calm sis Oh and St.paul chick, Angeleyes, Imperial lady, and Aliyah10, y'all have been wonderful...btw angeleyes, I hope you recovered from all that bisbaas they poured into your drink, poor thing flying-still-Sorry you couldn't make it to the dinner but it was still great meeting you at the conference although you seemed really tired that night and we didn't get to talk much. The ruwayad was ok too...I'm just not a big fan of ruwayads but I came to meet my gals Tamina and Malikah, very cool, cute and social sitas as y'all know already. We still managed to enjoy ourselves although the singers kinda sucked...I liked our little chit-chat in...dare I say where I really wish if we had more time though...next time Insha'Allah You know what...that car incident with Captivating just came into my mind and I'm just laughing, what a freaky reer mpls behaviour it was hmmm, who am I forgetting...oh illmatic, waryaahe wey inoo tahay ani iyo adiga...it was nice meeting ya though I honestly enjoyed my stay in MN except I think I gained weight from all those cazumado and eating out almost everyday. Hijaabed Hair

Ilhaam, are we tired of the usual bun hon? the bun is actually helpful cuz it holds the pin in place...and I also can't stand my hair touching my neck area so it's the way to go for me. Barwaaqo, you started the Hijaab? Masha'Allah, I'm very happy for you dear.
  11. ^^^I know, that diin diin line was funny I actually like flirty guys if they know what they're doing...or if they do it with "class" as some mentioned

  17. Masha'Allah...we honestly need more ppl like him!
  18. I agree with modesty....the answer is no, she would have to treat him just as her own son.

Originally posted by Bachelor: Absolutely, a luuq with sign that says No Xalimo Zone Xataa anta ya akhi? cajiib, I didn't think you were in the anti-xalimooyin category Seriously though, since so many of you are desperate to discuss "men issues", then why not have a men's forum...only seems fair!. And besides, we'd finally get some space in the women's section I'm really curious to see what you guys would discuss though
  23. Loyan, wlc back walaalo...I've been wondering meeshaad gashay. As you can see things have changed a bit around here... lots of new faces, just avoid the women's section for now as it's been flooded by dad yaab badan....but I have a feeling dad badan in tubta lagu ridi doono soon since we got new mods
