It will have a dramatic global impact which is quite worrisome. The western countries are already taking precautionary measures (as they should) and vaccine developments are well under way, however, what I really fear for is the poor developing countries that already inlflicted with countless endemic communicable diseases as it is. Africa just cannnot afford another pandemic! May Allah protect us.

Salafiya sis, Jazakallah Khair for the reminders. Indeed, the pleasure of the husband lies beside the pleasure of Allah subhanahu watacala. We should aim to please them Insha'Allah, when the time comes, for the sake of Allah (swt) (even if they're unbearable). It's imperative for both the husband and the wife to know their God given rights and responsibilities and that of their partners! Oh, and I'm a SIS.

No one deserves to be attacked for voicing their opinion. Therefore, I was merely trying to point out to you that the way you addressed the sister wasn't very appropriate I'm out!

May Allah (swt) bless the mothers back home who continue to struggle to beat the odds. Hooyadey baa tidhaahda, naag aanan gabadh dhalin waa gablan . How true, lol. I have to admit, I myself look forward to having little girls. However, we should always rejoice at the profound gift of a healhy, beautiful baby (regardless of their sex) that Allah (swt) bestows upon us. There's nothing more special! Unfortunately, it's the human nature of weakness/lower self that gets the best of us at times and causes us to be ever so ungrateful. Originally posted by Nur: The Best Among You, Are The Best To Their Women ( Hadeeth) I think it's about time e-nuri initiated workshops dedicated at teaching the wisdom behind this hadeeth and similar ones. It should be engrained in every Muslim man's head, esp those poor unenlightened chauvenists who still hang on to barbaric, unIslamic tendencies. Of course, this would also include, among many, the merciless creatures who believe that certain female body parts should be excised. I'd be more than happy to volunteer with the workshops, anything to better inform our brothers

^aren't you being a little rude? Besides, does not wanting to emulate a certain group have to be tantamount to hating them? Cajaaib

Powerful surah indeed. ^ I have to admit, I don't usually listen to Islamic lectures in Somali but I played this lec for my mom who happens to be a shaikh ummal fan...and Masha'Allah, it was quite informative. Do you know if he has a website by any chance?

Salam, I hope your at least enjoying the climate and oh, the shopping I do understand where you're coming from though. Unfortunately many Muslims (in the west and in other countries) are under the false pretense that Muslims in the east are more 'devout' and thus lead better lives, which is why we see increasing number of families relocate to the middle east only to find out that, it really isn't that much different nowadays. Islam doesn't have geographical boundaries and the fact that these so called middle eastern countries have great muslim population doesn't really illustrate much about where they lie on the spiritual spectrum. It really does boil down to personal choice and the kind of lifestyle one chooses to lead regardless of the environment they happen to be in, although it would help to have an environment that's conducive to one's own personal religious convictions. I honestly think that Islam needs to be revived in the east just as much as it needs to in the west. We are certainly witnessing a period where Muslims are great in number, but sadly, not of much substance. Therefore, we can only hope and pray for Allah (swt) to strengthen our ummah and guide us to the right path.

I must admit, this isn't an area I'm too familiar with (never found myself too passionate about history ), so I could use a copy myself if that isn't too much to ask Muhammad, lol. On a serious note, maybe you could do a quick interesting summary here Insha'Allah for those of us who don't have an access to the channel?

There are religious means of achieving that, and natural and practical means, but no one can combine all of them except the believers So true! JazakAllah Khair sis.

^Gabadh, long time! How's life treating you dearest? Kids did you say? I'm generally a tolerant individual but this just puts my patience to a great test wallah. What a nuisance, and no I don't hate kids (I just love them under normal circumstances ). I just think that in the house of Allah, one should have the ability to focus on nothing but Him, but how should one accomplish that when there's tens of children running around you to the point that you can't even perform sujuud. This happens regardless of there being a room for kids or not in some masjids. In all honesty, I think that it's better for sisters with little toddlers and new infants to just stay at home and perform your ibaadah there( you'll probably get more ajar there), instead of earning ufs and huffs and inkaar socota.
