Jazakallah kheir for spreading the news. A friend of mine was just telling me about attending it, though she didn't say Sh. Raage was among the guest speakers. I hear a lot about him. Enjoy to those who will be attending!

^What do you mean by 'you don't have to forget them'? Buddy, as far as I'm concerned, they top up the list! Yaa gaadhi kara. On a serious note, dumarka Somaaliyeed oo idil Allah wuu u dhameyey, MashaAllah, regardless of their respective tuulos wala magaalos.

Good for her. I wish her the best. She could add a little more exotic flavour to her dishes perhaps, and show some extra ala Emeril Lagasse zeal next time.

^Surfiyaduna waa maxay? Thanks Underdog, although I happen to fancy Homesense more for home shopping.

And the purpose of the question is?

While it may be the very first of its kind, I see no reason to be so quick to dismiss it altogether, Jimcaalow. Good innovation is needed at times! It's a very creative and noble initiative, though it must be sought out with due diligence. Given Dubai's highly multi-cultural and multi-faith population, in addition to its tourist attracting nature, this project could potentially serve as a great medium of da'wa and tolerance. North: Are you at all familiar with where the culamaa of the khaleeg stand on the issue? They are critical stakeholders who, I am presuming, are represented in the committee spearheading this project.

^what's so presigious about Filipinas? And why are the other Asians such as Bengalis deemed cheap? This raise seems quite reasonable. It's about time these overworked and mostly abused workers received some recognition and compensation for their hard work. Boy do they endure a lot working for those spoiled khaleegis.

MashaAllah. May Allah preserve the Imam. Goosebump! Very Powerful are the elegant ayaat he chooses to recite, full of beautiful and thought-provoking parables, SubhanaAllah. His recital of Surah al-Sajdah is amazing and tear inducing.

Never used to make a big deal of it; I simply hate associated headache/stress. But lately, I've been thinking...just a thought though. I am still not convinced.

LoL. Ciisow, ma boqol halaad kaliya umbaad ii quudhey huuno, oodan weliba goyn kerin? And here I was expecting something along the line of a beautiful ranch near those scenic mountains in Sanaag with a dozen gorgeous, golden brown, native stallions on top of boqolka halaad reeraha lagu aamusiin lahaa. Laakeen hadda, xaaladaadu waa iska bariga dhexe inabti . FB...that is sooo last summer MN, and so very single motherish sheeko

Allah maxaa been iyo buturubadha dumar laga badiyey iyaguna u calool jilceen. It appears raggu from time immemorial knew how to talk the talk but lacked the art of walking the walk.

I went to a sisters' party, and it was so lovely seeing everyone MashaAllah. God, we get so locked up in our own little worlds and forget to touch base with everyone.

May Allah azza wajal honour all the beautiful Muslimah's out there who are preserving their modesty and dignity. It's a true blessing, Alhamdulillah. Thank you Isseh, your love is appreciated P.S. FB and co, yaa idiin yeedhay idinka marka hore...wixiinu waa is maqiiqin cad.

Ibtisam, that's an unhealthy route to take dear. The aim of sadaqa should be to give for the sake of Allah swt, and in this case, for the sake of your fellow Somali brethren regardless of the supposed 'target' audience of the event. That shouldn't matter one bit. It's time we looked beyond this irrational regional mindset and viewed all Somalis as one. I for one see myself no less Makhirian than the one whose qabil hails from the region. Anyways, Qaaraanku ma MN and London umbuu ku egyahay yaa jamaaca. How can Canadians partake in this great project?

Harar-na qeeb qaali ah baa iga taal, Xamar-na qalbiga Xiinow. Janaale was beautiful walee and dhul barwaaqeysan indeed, I remember our occasional getaways there so vividly.
