  1. ^Spring/summer courses begin in May and end yes, in mid August. But most ppl don't take it if they don't have to, or if they're not doing co-op. Mu'Mina, I know.
  2. ^LoL. No I mean the first term starting in Sep., what do you guys call it? We usually finish our Winter term in mid April, that's why I was asking. Abu, Marc's tirades miyaad saa uga cabsatay?

    MBA

So you've finally decided to commence your studies? Yeey! Good for you. I did an MBA course (health care policy) last term, and I tell ya, it required a whole new set of skills and outlook on my part...I had no idea what the heck a SWOT analysis or stakeholder analysis entailed - the entire process of strategic planning was foreign to me (uderstandably), but to my surprise, it proved to be quite interesting. I am hoping to squeeze in a leadership or management course into my schedule later this summer as well, InshaAllah. Best wishes buddy. Just do me a favour and don't ever adopt the usual black suit/snobbish attitude look known to those students.
  4. I see. So Fall term must start later for you guys, eh.
  5. ^Your exams run till May? I'm lovin' the long weekend, though I have lots of unpacking and cleaning/organizing to do.

Xaraam! Dude looks like he's never ridden a horse before. The least they can do is take proper care of these beautiful creatures...feed them for God's sake.
  7. Bought euphoria blossom set for just 50 bucks - such a steal! I shall give it away for a gift InshaAllah.
  8. ^lol. Darling is even worse. G-Jire, despite regional dialects, those are all inappropriate terms to be used on a total stranger, and even those whom you know well - bal yaa kuu macaaneyey? FB, mardambe hadaan kaa maqlo Cadeey awowgaa baa lagu janeyn
  9. Why are you folks assuming that they are making a presumption about the women's work status? We should learn to make excuses for others as often as we can, InshAllah; perhaps the instructors for these free classes are only available during the day.

I beg to differ. Gabdhuhu are naturally gifted with the art of ceeb-asturid, except of course the occasional impatient/irritable ones. As for the topic, interesting observation. However, I certainly don't believe that it applies to the vast majority of our brothers - esp. the educated ones. Without looking elsewhere, SOL can serve as a great example.
  11. Wa alaikumu salam Sophist. I am looking more for a structured online course but I guess audio lec's will do for now, thanks.
  12. You folks are truly blessed Masha Allah. I envy the British Muslim communities and the degree of Islamic awareness/activities they enjoy. This is beautiful really, and I pray that Allah facilitates the path of the noble knowledge for serious and dedicated students who will endeavour to partake in these cirlcles. P.S. Are you aware of any online courses that teach the Bulooghal Maraam - I've been eager to start studying it but haven't yet found a way other than independent study.
  13. ^Aameen, InshaAllah. Ibti, I haven't done any kicking yet but you can imagine the lecturing that ensued afterwards I was just blaming one of my brothers today for his 3 old's inability to read beyond surah Al-Naas while he pretty much memorised all the shows on Treehouse. I truly believe little ones should be banned from TV in its entirety; it's the easiest path for shaytan to enter the home and corrupt the childrens' minds, yet parents are wondering why their teachings of Islam and discipline are not registering in those minds. Blessed One, yaa u quura the little darling a kick? I am certain she's being trained well by an excellent Muslimah Nephy, how's it going dear? She's just one of the ayaat of Allah which is great to witness; perhaps some will be moved by it and extract valuable lessons (some inspired to become brilliant mothers/teachers ).
  14. ^Salam dear. I know eh, it's fascinating wallah.
  15. Watch her answer questions from aqeedah to sunnah and legislation. Subxanallah, she puts many adults to shame! I can't believe she got the mu'tazila one. May Allah protect her and bless her parents. I want a daughter like her now, lol.

    Baby Moma

Whether the embryo is from the married couple and they simply use the surrogate mother for carrying purposes, or whether any donor egg/sperm is involved, artificial insemination is strictly xaraam as concluded by the scholars. It's tantamount to zina and the same ayaats are used to substantiate this ruling. Very logical too. Besides, lineage which is one of the fundamental human rights that Islam protects can be breached as a result of this process. Can you imagine the utter confusion this poor child will be subjected to in determining his/her real parents? How just and ethical will this be?
  17. ^FB wouldn't know loox/khad if they hit him in the face let alone use them (that's what he gets for not knowing where Weylo laguxidh is ) Buuxo, elitism? Hardly darling. But I was indeed blessed with many xufaadh and Qur'anic experts in the family, alhamdulilah. I was homeschooled for the most part.

Heh. I too hope Allah spares him from any questioning he isn't well prepared for.

Haraaam. Now, can you go and unbreak her heart. P.S. How do you think Allah views a slave of His undermining and rejecting the love of another for the sole reason that he perceives them as lacking in Allah's love? How do suppose the questioning will take place? Can you now discern a particular quality (I won't say it) of weakness embedded in such attitude? So I wonder, if it is the realization of this quality that made the author suffocate or the actual loss.
  20. ^Manners of speech and interaction! Something many could benefit from. Xishoodku wax qalaad buu Soomalida qaarkii ku yahay, Allah hana soo hanuuniyo.
  21. ^I know. I have many close relatives residing in Weylo laguxidh but I wasn't aware that there was one in Kenya as well. I don't recall ever using loox and khad in Xamar; but it's also utilized by many other Muslims in Africa (esp. rural areas) to teach the Qur'an/Arabic.
  22. Geeljire, I can understand the confusion walal; it could be quite frustrating for those who are not well acquainted with Islamic jurisprudence. The best thing to do when confronted with inconsistencies is to refer back to the Qur'an and ahaadeeth. Sometimes scholars can disagree on simple fiqh issues depending on their school of thought but still hold valid views. Thus, knowing the source influencing their interpretation and the maqsid of that particular sharc is imperative.
