But that's basically the whole mandate of the show. So why is it shocking? Yeah I don't think Stewart has badmouthed Islam, at least not openly... anyway speaking of those wh*ckjobs, the "Revolution Muslims", I've seen some around the area of the Manhattan mosque, they're not any different than the Faux News goonies...

A correspondent for New Left Media ventured out among the tea partiers during their tax day protests in Washington D.C. to interview them about what it is that's fueling their fierce opposition to the government in general and President Obama in particular. Suffice to say, the answers involve lots of wild-eyed claims about tyranny and socialism. Highlights include a woman gravely warning "Obama is considering banning fishing in America," as well as another dressed in a ball and chain outfit to illustrate how our liberties are being constrained. It's no surprise to me why many Europeans think Americans are morons...

A long time back I heard this Somali song with a touch of modern Arabic beats, it was entitled rendezvous by Abdirazak, but after searching online I couldn't find any info on the artist until recently when I found the following on a German website: "Der in Mogadischu geborene und in Kairo lebende somalische Liedermacher und Schriftsteller Abdirazak Osman veröffentlicht sein erstes Musikalbum unter dem Titel Rendezvous, zwei Jahre später wird es mit dem Titel Gabar in London erneut herausbringen." "The Mogadishu-born and living in Cairo Somali singer and writer Osman Abdirazak published his first music album called Rendezvous, two years later, it was released in London with the title Gabar." Does anyone know this artist or has heard the song? Does he have an online presence?

B, dude you mustn't take some of the characters in this forum seriously man, it's a forum, nothing on here is serious, just people (mostly old bitter ones) expressing their opinions on things that will probably never affect their lives...

This is too funny to keep to myself... Promiscuous women are responsible for earthquakes, a senior Iranian cleric has said. Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi told worshippers in Tehran last Friday that they had to stick to strict codes of modesty to protect themselves. "Many women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray and spread adultery in society which increases earthquakes," he said. Tens of thousands of people have died in Iran earthquakes in the last decade. Mr Sedighi was delivering a sermon on the need for a "general repentance" by Iranians. "What can we do to avoid being buried under the rubble? There is no other solution but to take refuge in religion and to adapt our lives to Islam's moral codes," he said. 'Disappoint God' Young Iranians sometimes push the boundaries of how they can dress, showing hair under their headscarves or wearing tight fitting clothes. Mr Sedighi also referred to violence following last year's elections, which occurred when thousands of - mostly young - Iranians protested against the result, as a "political earthquake". "Now if a natural earthquake hits Tehran, no one will be able to confront such a calamity but God's power, only God's power. So lets not disappoint God." More than 25,000 people died when a powerful earthquake hit the ancient town of Bam in 2003. Seismologists have warned that the Iranian capital Tehran is situated on a large number of tectonic fault lines and could be hit by a devastating quake soon. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said many of Tehran's 12 million inhabitants should relocate. There are plans to build a purpose built new capital near Qom.

Italy spooked by Paranormal Activity By Duncan Jones BBC News correspondent in Rome Parents and politicians in Italy are up in arms over US horror movie Paranormal Activity after several cinema-goers suffered from panic attacks. It opened in Italy at the weekend with no restrictions - despite being rated 15 in the UK and R-rated in the US. An emergency services spokesman told news agency Ansa the most serious case was a 14-year-old girl "brought to the hospital in a state of paralysis". The Italian parents' association wants an age limit of 18 to be brought in. The spokesman said emergency services had received dozens of calls, especially in southern Naples "where several panic attacks lasting more than half an hour took place on Saturday". 'Terrible thing' Italian Defence Minister Ignazio La Russa said he was concerned about a trailer for the film shown on Italian TV. "For the past two weeks a trailer has been shown obsessively on TV and is terrifying thousands of children," he said. "It's a terrible thing. I took notice because my seven-year-old son told me, 'Daddy, I'm scared'." Culture Minister Sandro Bondi said the committee that decided on age restrictions had given the film the go-ahead, but he was now considering possible measures to protect children. Director Oren Peli filmed the movie on a video camera in his own house for just $15,000 (£9,000). The fictional movie, shot like a homemade documentary, follows a young couple coping with supernatural phenomena in their home. The creepy clips juxtapose extracts from the film with type-written words from the critics, saying things like "unnerving" or " genuinely shocking". The ads end with a pounding music track and ever-quickening edits that climax with a husky-voiced announcer claiming that Paranormal Activity is the film that "terrorised all America". It rather reminds me of the adverts many years ago for Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. It began with a similar voice over, "the tide of terror that swept America is here.... The Shining!" It was enough to hook me and my friends, who dashed off to the nearest cinema to enjoy 90 edge-of-seat minutes. In Italy's case, Paranormal Activity has lead to several people actually toppling off the edge of their seats. One 14-year-old girl in Naples had to be given oxygen by paramedics, she was in such a state. Age ban One minister said the film trailer should not be aired on TV at a time when children could see it. A consumer group has threatened to go to court to get the film restricted to adults only (at the moment it is on general release with no viewer restrictions). And Alessandra Mussolini, granddaughter of the country's former fascist dictator, said if it was too late to impose an age ban, then the film should be shown with some sort of warning, so that parents know the risks. Publicists for the film must be in horror heaven, given all the free publicity it's getting. Word-of-mouth could very soon become money-in-bank, if it continues like this. We've been here many times before. I can also recall similar concerns about A Clockwork Orange, The Exorcist and Pink Flamingoes. Many people complained without even seeing them. And those that did may have been shocked, but few required the assistance of paramedics on the pavements outside cinemas (though I do remember that, when I first saw Pink Flamingoes, so many people walked out in disgust, they would have overwhelmed any waiting paramedics!) People of all ages love to be scared at the cinema or on TV sets in their homes. Some, it seems, are a little more sensitive than others. They should be respected. But it should still be Boo! Not boo-hoo! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8508675.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/8509316.stm LOL... even the Defense minister got involved...

Geologically speaking the Somali peninsula is moving eastwards at the rate of around 5-7mm a year and this process has been going on over 18 million years. So I highly doubt it will break off in a 100 years time. Once it separates, it will form its own plate, called the Somali Plate. Originally posted by Khayr: So if we are part of the human family and a pedophile or rapist was your neighbor and passed away, would you attend their funeral? How about a terrrrrorist? After all, they are all part of the Human Family and in each case, a potentional neighbor. oh boy! did you read what you just posted? if not, I'll give you a moment... 1... 2... 3... OK... The deceased was a good neighbor to Sayid which, going by Sayid's original post, tells me that the deceased didn't violate anyone's right, so when you compare him to criminals it makes no sense whatsoever. Please read carefully and analyze, thinking and draw out your arguments. Don't just twitter, this ain't that site. I'm the one who's twittering when you're comparing a dead gay man to pedophiles, rapists and terrorists?
