I just wanna thank our somalian brothers for just being great!
SCORPION_SISTA replied to lulla's topic in General
well lulla i have to say i am suprised by this post. i was actually feeling more in the mood for "anti somali men" movement myself but this comment of urs burst my bubble here unfortunately. i mean throughout all the time i have been here somali guyz complained about somali gals 24/7 and made numerous unrespectuful comments(some persons excluded) yet here u are trying to boost their egos and compliment them!! gosh i am sorry girl i don't believe that somali guyz are the sweetest guyz out there that's just my opinion. p.s. TAQWA wake up dude, everyone cares about what someone else does think about them to certain degree but maybe again since it's u. As to what u consider sucking-up did it accur to ur brain that maybe some ppl are appricative of others in here regardless if u see non of us worthy of ur appriciation. Not all of us are good at the art of cruetly that u have mastered so well, some of us apply the concept of human decency and treat others kindly rather than with condesending attitues that again u consistently applied here. that's my 1 1/2 cents on this topic. -
looooool shaqsii what have u started here!!!! i wonder where have i been when all those love vibes were flying around this web site, dang missed all the fun it seems. athena, mrjbriil, is that guy that wrote the topic saying"the somali girls and the naked truth, he is similar to guy of "anti-somali women" movement dude, so u get an idea what's he is like rite!!!! hey kool-kat i thought u were married what u doing being in this race here?????? but here goes my list of matches: 1.shaqsii & exdane 2.jamaal 11 & barwaaqo 3.indh & abdinuur 4.lulla & wiil-waal 5.hibo & LST 6.lakkad & baydan 7.MCC & san yar i guess that's all i could think of rite now. peace

jamaal 11 i must say that u made me speechless after reading that respond u wrote back to me, i couldn't believe that u were the same jamaal 11 studying philosophy saying the worst bullshit i ever heard, i still cann't believe even though i re-read it 4 times, i couldn't actually believe that that thought actually went and got proceed in ur head and u didn't see anything wrong with it. it is the most illogical conclusion i ever heard, gosh don't u remember basic logic class, two correctely statements doesn't always equal correct assumption. gosh i need to recoprate from this shock dude, dang.

well mujahid let be the first to respond here since i been roaming this place for about an hour now. well bro first of all i don't date but i read romance novels all the times and i like movies a lot even the romantic ones. as to why somali ppl date i guess as u said some live in cultures that promate it and encourges it. but i think a large reason is also peer pressure not only from american friends side but also somali side too. for example, two friends that are really close one starts dating and their friendship is not as tight as before so the one not dating begins to try to fill or not be bored by dating someone she might just like but has no potential of being serious about. u know something i noticed about somali style of dating, is that they never tell their parents about them dating, i mean i don't see a guy coming to pick up a girl from her parent's home and stuff like that as is in the american culture, and i wondered why? maybe subconciously they know it is wrong or that it is not permeant relationship they having. another thing i have seen is that somali ppl in general don't have middle grounds about relationship between men and women, they either related to ya or u must have interest in them, but what about other relationship between men and women? i think that this creates a pressure for them to see males in two ways either as boyfriends or male relatives which no relationship can be developed with. well my sis is calling me now, so i guess that's my 1 1/2 cents on this topic, i will definitely would be interested in others view points, check back later, peace.

well naasir u want to know what i think well here it goes, In order for a woman to get married and then raise a kid there has to be cooperation between the wife and the husband and truthfully somali men can barely lift a hand to help their woman raise their kids between them trying to hang out with their friends and working. So if the woman doesn't want her kids abandoned or taught from early ages american values, she must herself remain at home and do it. so if u want to see more woman working and using their degrees after marriage then provide more somali men that are willing to do the 50/50 thing and voila u got a receipe for success and more somali women in the working forces. that's my opinion about this subject.

Is it Possible to love someone from here or paltalk or the internet
SCORPION_SISTA replied to OG Moti's topic in General
yeah og-mati i think it is possible. i think that some people know who they were meant to be with and it doesn't take away anything from it if the person is met on net or in person, the important thing is that u get to know this people really who they are by what they talk to u about and how they convert with ya, cause conversation is very important key in any relationship. by the way even marriages that been made with people that met and known each other for long time in persons hasn't been proven to work 100% it's all about the couples and how they work on their relationship, regardless of where they first met. i guess that's my 1/2 cents on this topic. -
well yac, i got one thing to add and that is in respond to jamaal 11 respond, bro don't believe that is true. i have seen women and girls that are covered the whole nine yard, and they are worse than the one that wore shorts and stuff, and use it just as cover cause guyz like jamaal 11 think they good so they don't do anything wrong, and give them sometimes respect that they haven't earned yet just cause. in order for a girl to cover she must take that decision conciously and willingly because it is only in that case that she would be true to it. and bro one more thing, i don't think that all the girls don't cover up cause they want u guyz to notice them, for some they like those things it's again a personal choice and everyone knows the consequence to those choices and leave it to allah. bye.

long time no see MCC but i see u doing very well. I have to say i am not suprised about what those intelligents ppl thought about muslims, cause let's face it before those attacks happened any terrorist movies i remember watching they were arabs, i didn't see no american indians or jews or europeans taking planes or buildings as hostages. And i think that with 9/11 attacks it just pushed the paranoia upfront in their mentality, i guess it made fiction into reality. one of the other thing i believe that the media and movies made american confused about it was it made no distinction between being muslim and islam. u always hear in the movies "it was the wish of allah for us to kill these people" and soforth, where it was simply some groups that made concious decision that they hated these americans and therefore they would target some of the things that america stands for, so most americans think that islam as religion encourges if not demands or promotes violence toward others so i guess then the americans have hard time seeing islam as the peacfull true religion it is. i think that more true exposure of islam is a must and also that we as muslim should follow our teachings and just say to non-muslims "i don't worship what u whorship nor do u whorship what i whorship, u have ur religion and i have my religion" and let it be the end, rather than some violence acts that furthers nothing. i think if islamic worlds have extreme griviens with the americans, they should unite and go to an official war, where soldiers fight and it could truly be called "jihad" in the true sense of the word. gosh again i am writing too much, but anyways here is my 1 1/2 cents again. peace.

Is there a difference between Knowledge and Education?
SCORPION_SISTA replied to Paragon's topic in General
loooooooooool jamaal 11 i didn't know i effected u this much mate(just kidding), i cann't actually believe u posted it as a topic, but it is all good. i guess u already heard my opinion before so maybe i don't need to say anything further. p.s. it seems this topic is only understood or liked by philosophical peepz. i wonder what happened to shaqsii, he might have a thing or two to say here. i guess that's my 1 1/2 cents comment on this issue. peace -
gosh i am suprised that people do continue dating with all those rules, for godsakes it's wonder anyone enjoys dating. do this and don't do that i would have thought everyone would be selfconcious and wondering if they did everything they were suppose to do therefore enjoying nothing, and these rules don't leave a place for spontanousty which is really sad to see. if i wasn't dating before i would have stopped after reading all those rules (beside good hygiene, which everyone should have.) i guess that's my 1 1/2 cents on this issue.

What Is The One Thing Women Can't Live Without?
SCORPION_SISTA replied to Abdinuur's topic in General
well abdinur i guess the one thing i might not live without is my sense of curiousty, thoughout i couldn't imagine whom i might have been but wouldn't been someone i like. i guess that's it for me buddy, c u around later. -
u are at it again i see lulla, and u know me i couldn't pass the opportunity to put in my 1 1/2 cents on this topic. To me, i don't think that somali interact with those other kind of racial groups because for example asians in general have full enriched cultures where as to somali i don't think we have a culture of our own, i mean yeah we have tribes stuff and look where that got our people. So i guess it is hard to associate with others cultural backgrounds when one doesn't have one of his/her own. I also think that somali are so critical of everything like all life is black and white and no grayish areas, therefore it is hard for them to broaden their horizon and embrace other cultures and races. It doesn't always mean that one must accept others cultures but to ecknowledge that they are there and respect those ppl for their difference than us rather than critisim them for it. well i think i went off the road here a bit, but i hope that u get my point lulla. cann't wait to hear another one of your WHYS'S???????. bye

loooool soul lady another one of ur question not a bad one though: well i think if i was not able to have a child i think my first choice would be to adopt a kid cause they are plenty of them that need loving homes and ppl(of course i would try to have a somali or a kid from islamic countries). as to insenmination i don't know, if another woman has to provide eggs for my husbands sperm then for god sakes let her marry him too, i think this is the time where i must sacrific my love for him to have children if it is something that is important to him if not then as i said adopt or have no children at all. that's my 1 1/2 cents on this topic.

WHAT AGE DO YA PLAN TO SETTLE DOWN AND MAKE FAMILY OF UR OWN?
SCORPION_SISTA replied to lulla's topic in General
well mz.lulla i c u at it again and i couldn't pass the chance to respond here. the only age that i have always considered to be perfect time to get married is 26 wether i will find that soul mate or not i don't know i guess i just leave it to allah and we shall see what happenes. that's my 1 1/2 cents on this topic. -
well in the odd case that i do get married the only ppl that would plan my wedding are my sister and a friend of mine, gosh those two gals can wipe out crazy ideas and they definitely know my personality type so i don't have to describe myself to them so they would know what i like and don't like. i would definitely urge somali ppl to use wedding planners, and to have wedding rehersal just the basic even of how to walk in and what is suppose to be done during the entery of the wedding place. that's my 1 1/2 cents on this topic.

hm lulla this is the first time i c a topic of urs with no response i wonder what happened. anyways i think it is a combination between the two i mean if u cann't have some sort of feelings for him now what's the chance that u will have some for him down the road not a pretty good odds if u know what i mean. On the other hand what can u do with a guy that u cann't see anything with him in the future. so i think the perfect partner is the one u feel now and will forever. that's my 1 1/2 cents on this topic. peace
-
ah it is good to back here again gosh i missed this place. well hodan to respond to ur question in my personal opinion i think that older men go for younger girl because those younger females are more impressionable and reshapeable(easier to mold sort of thing), where i guess an older women has set view points and opinions about things which some men find unattractive so they opt to go for those young birds that can be trained to the ways they like their women. now that's my 1 1/2 cents on this topic.

Would you let Your man marry another women???
SCORPION_SISTA replied to Funkysista's topic in General
well peepz, i think i would let him marry another woman in certain circumstances, but no not at the same time he would have to divorce me first (unless i am ill and unable to take care of my children, then he can marry another one to take care of my children but i guess i would have to choose her). that's my 1 1/2 cents on this topic. -
well for me i guess if i do have children inshallah my max would be 4 and my min would be 2. that's all p.s. commensence, i know a girl that had triplets, and it's really a hard work and a lot of juggling, but i love those kids.
