  4. What is bugging me is that these girls are pretending not to when it's obviouse from their constant talk about marriage that they do This is normal for somali women be it online or in real life....hence, the old age saying, "Naago waxay Rabaan ayey Maya Dhahaan". It ain't nothing New!!
  5. I'm all for is quruxinta sistahs and a little bit of udgoon is fine but somali women sometimes use some strong/powerful stuff that could knock you off your feet!! The other day, there was this somali lady shopping at SouthDale Mall (MPLS, MN), she just walked by this White lady and within secs, the white girl fainted, hit the ground and was carried away with stretchers. Now, thats powerful and un-neccesary and remember and what the prophet (SCW) said about wearing Udgoon and going out....even though this topic wasn't abt leaving the house!

  9. Is it that men are complicated or is that some women do not know what they want?
  10. Anyhow, I think ONLF should put its guns down and start talks with Addis Ababa, because their initial goal is virtually impossible, at least for now it is Really? Put down the guns and talk with whom? To that criminal called Meles? How long does it take to learn the deceits of Meles and his crooks for some of us? or could it be that we know it all but just not objective or blinded by self interest? ONLF did put their guns down bro fyi, but they were faced with what they feared the most, dishonesty and empty promises. The Political atmosphere could never be better for ONLF and they are at their heydays and if you think they do not have the political weight to drive these thugs out of the Region, isn’t fair to say that neither Meles has this power because, if he does, ONLF should not be operating every corner of the region
  11. Are you a red-runner in Minneapolis? Well, your days might be numbered!!! The Minneapolis Police Department is launching a new program that targets red-light runners. "Stop on Red" is a high-tech way for the department to monitor more intersections with fewer officers Stop On Red Camera Sites
  12. To me, it really makes no sense to indebt yourself with more student loans while you’re still paying for your undergraduate loans. It’s wiser to get a real job and also go back to school and earn your MBA or Masters while you are also working and getting related work experience (here you are also advancing in the corporate ladder) -This way, your Employer is paying for your Masters/MBA and all you have to worry about is your undergraduate loans. If you go for MBA right after school, you will accumulate at about $60,000 + interest at end in student loans and forfeit about $100,000 (2 years salary) + time value of money.
  13. Woow. some got a long list----here is mine!! -Xaliiimo has to be full-time religious, has to have Islamic Knowledge and an Impeccable Akhlaaq -Independent, Educated and Fat Saving Account -Be willing to work till retirement (Insha Allah) if not, I want my Qureec in bed, Qado delivered at work and Casho-----hmmmm, will pass Casho -Be making not less that I do, if more, that’s a plus -No debts, No student loans at all please -Be able to use her mind to think not her heart -She has to know that her family problems are theirs not ours, ---but will help where we can. Thank you -Looks: Not a big deal, there is always extreme makeover if she needs minor fix-ups its even available in Somalia nowadays if we have to go back in the future Sense of humor: Wont need this cuz we wont be talking anyways!! Last but no least, not a bad news in her town   !! Thank You For Your Consideration, ilaaliye
  14. The Computer! A Spanish teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine. "House" for instance, is feminine: "la casa." "Pencil," however, is masculine: "el lapiz." A student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?" Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation. The men's group decided that "computer" should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la computadora"), because: 1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic; 2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else; 3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and 4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it. (No chuckling... this gets better!) The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine ("el computador"), because: 1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on; 2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves; 3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and 4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model. The women won.
  15. ^^^^You dont want kids...hmmmm.....oo hadana ...hmmmm western mentality or is it the reer baadiye mentality that Qurux has just spoken abt!!toolow waa midkee?
  16. Nice topic sis......JazakaAllahu Kheyr The problem with the Somali parents is they think that raising their children is simply providing them with clothings, food, and shelter and maybe taking them to a public school where they might be taught Un-Islamic things. To the contrary, we should all raise our children, the rulers of tomorrow in an Islamic ways and instill them with religious principles and good moral values at an early age. Islam has ordered parents to take care of their children and to bring them up according to the Islamic manners not just raising them physically but mentally and morally and prepare them so they can become good Muslims and contribute in building an Islamic Ummah It might be necessary to spank them alittle when they misbehave but this choking, beating and worst of all CURSING them is just un-called for. Especially, hooyooyinku waa inay ilma habarka kadhaafaan!!!
