  3. Well. Well WeLLLL... Nin Yaaban: got some good lesson from my beloved sist's in SOL, /./././.Stop the war Against Women yenk  .././././././ then listen -Women in many Islamic societies are expected to marry, obey their husbands, bring up children, stay at home, and avoid participation in public life. At every stage of their lives they are denied free choice and the fundamental right of autonomy. They are forbidden to acquire an education, prevented from getting a job, and thwarted from exploring their full potential as members of the human community. -WOMEN'S RIGHTS: NOW AND THEN -Many of the practices and laws in "Muslim" countries have deviated from or are totally unrelated to the origins of Islam. Instead, many of these ways, are based on cultural customs, which date from pre-Islamic tribal traditions. -The Jaahiliyah When the husband died, the wife was not allowed to leave his family, for as soon as he died, she was inherited by one of his relatives. She could not leave unless she paid to free herself. Moreover, when a woman was divorced, she was kept out of spite. She was thus not allowed to divorce, and when she was divorced, she could not leave. -Islam has changed the status of women, and changed the outlook that men have towards women. Islam revolutionized the world 1400 years ago when it gave women full access to their rights. To illustrate that point, one needs to only remember the West acknowledged women as beings who possessed a soul just less then 100 years ago. Islam recognized this fact 1400 years ago. -The status of women in Islam is one of equality and honor. Unfortunately, the present Islamic societies have chosen to disregard Allah’s limits to suit their own needs. Like NIN-YAABAN -the Dhaqan you pointed still is in The Dark Age and we should't obey whether he is wrong  -Pre-Islamic traditions still remain imprinted in the heart of Nin Yaaban and many like him. Today more then ever, our Ummah is in great need of reform. May Allah strengthen our hearts with Iman and may He guide us to the right path. Ameen.

  5. by:- Rukia Hussein, trans. Abdhirahman Dahir The following poem in the original Somali below and in English translation is representative of buraanbur, a women's praise poetry and dance tradition that is carried on by the Somali community in the Washington, D.C. area My beloved girl, you are a gift from Allah. You are sweet, bestowed on me by the Victorious One. When you were a baby and were held on a lap, When you became an adolescent and took your place among your peers, And went to school and claimed success, Your intellect and knowledge rounded in every way, You helped me when I lagged behind, So I pray Allah the Omnipotent on your behalf. May your life be lived at the highest level When you begin to date and are ready for marriage. Do not nag him, and let not your grumbling be heard; Open your house and spread mats for his people. Apply incense at home, and dress and indulge him with pleasure, But if he rewards you with mischief, move out from his home. Accept this conclusion of my bestowing prayers to you: I wish you paradise in the life hereafter// Aamiin hooyo.

  9. A/c Wr Wb Would you mind if I share with you this helpfull Article ofcourse yeah, I'll Appricaite your time, The benefits derived from sport can not be denied. Not only do they have physical and social benefits, but also essential psychological consequences. Since sport is also a compulsory part of the curriculum in all schools, it is important to address the many Islamic conflicts that us sisters may face. The Etiquette's of Sport The restrictions on women participating in sport or physical activity is more than that of men. All Islamic observances must be followed, regardless of any school policies or social stigmas. Our obedience to our Creator cannot be given preference to a creature of Allah. When participating in sports, the clothing must be Islamically acceptable. This would therefore exclude shorts, t-shirts, leotards, swimming costumes etc. It is very important to ensure that there are no males watching. Mixing of sexes is forbidden in normal situations, except in special situations under certain conditions, let alone in a sporting arena or exercise facility. It also restricts your activities, and modesty would not allow this in any case. Swimming In most female-only schools, there are always male teachers around. Hence wearing even body suits is not sufficient, therefore to remove yourself from this activity is the only solution. There are some female-only baths or swimming complexes, yet even this is not suitable for the purposes of Muslim women. The following tradition treats this point: "Some women from Homs or from Sham (now the area of Damascus) came to 'A'ishah. She asked, 'Do you enter the public baths? I heard the Messenger of Allah saying that a woman who undresses anywhere else other than in her own house tears off the Satr (shelter) which lies between her and her Lord .' " [At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud] It is not only a problem of Satr, but also revealing yourself to disbelievers, an important point which ssisters are ignoranor careless of. Permission for a Muslim woman to reveal her hair, arms etc. is permitted to her husband, father, mother and so on. Non-Muslim women are excluded from this permission, because contact with them might easily lead to disastrous results. That is why the Khalif 'Umar wrote to Abu 'Ubaidah Ibn al-Jarrah, the Governor of Syria, to prohibit the Muslim women from going to the baths with the women of the Ahl al-Kitab (the People of the Book). [At-Tabari, Ibn Jazir]. According to Ibn 'Abbas "...a Muslim woman is not allowed to display herself before the women of the unbelievers and non-Muslim poll-tax payers (Ahl al-Dhimmah) any more than she can display herself before other men" [At-Tabari]. This distinction between women on grounds of character and religion is intended to safeguard Muslim women against the influence of women whose moral and cultural background is either not known or is objectionable from the Islamic point of view. Gyms Although many women-only gyms have become popular, we have the same problem as with baths, that being in the presence of non-Muslim women. However, as long as loose clothing is worn along with proper head covering, this problem can be avoided. Self-Defence Particularly in Western countries, this is an important form of popular exercise. Sisters must be careful to train only with other women, to maintain loose clothing and head cover, and not to attack at the head, as the Prophet (s.a.w) has forbidden us to hit on the face while training. Watching Sport Many sisters find themselves in situations where they will be watching sports on TV, at school carnivals, or going to matches. Stadiums are not advisable places for Muslims in general, because of the language, drinking and scenery. Allah has commanded the believing women to lower their gaze, and sport comes as no exception, especially with guys in shorts. Other Points Sports and exercise should be judged according to the level of modesty involved. Games such as netball played in a public arena is not befitting to the honour of a Muslimah. No compromises can be made in terms of clothing or mixing. Public showers at female schools is totally forbidden. Many sisters will also apply deodorants after a work-out. What must be kept in mind is the Prophet's warning on a fragrant perfumes: "The woman who perfumes herself and passes through a gathering is an adulteress." Some fragrant-free deodorants are available, otherwise apply enough so that the fragrance is not apparent. A married woman must also have the permission of her husband beforehand, and must ensure that non of her duties as a wife are being sacrificed as a result of her activities. To keep in line with today's excessive and unwarranted demands for women to have a "supermodel" physique, many sisters will exercise for this sole purpose, only adding more stress and anguish to themselves. Keep it as a fun activity, involve your husband with it and make it an intimate part of your marriage life. Keep in mind that over-exercising can result in unrepairable tissue damage, and will turn you off it. Bodily exhaustion is not called for, as Allah (s.w.t) tells us: "Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope." [2: 286] Allah knows best.
  10. a/c wr wb Shyma tnx sis I liked... ther's A lot of responsibilities , Rabbi Yassir, most of us we don't know how to make happy our hus/wife.. Men and women are of the same family, and as such have similar rights and duties, and their Lord promises them As we know The Marriage in Islam is a civil contract between two persons of the opposite sex for conjugal life and begetting children. It is a contract of a permanent nature, unless dissolved by divorce (talak). It has attached to it a notion of sanctity as well since every step in its materialisation and dissolution is guided by religious dictates. The Shariah (Muslim code of law based on the Qur’an) prescribes it as a simple process where a man and woman agree to marry each other in presence of two witnesses. Islam gives high importance to marriage as it is considered the only way of bringing a family into existence. After that Woman is recognized by Islam as a full and equal partner of man in the procreation of humankind. He is the father; she is the mother, and both are essential for life. Her role is not less vital than his. By this partnership she has an equal share in every aspect; she is entitled to equal rights; she undertakes equal responsibilities, and in her there are as many qualities and as much humanity as there are in her partner. To this equal partner- ship in the reproduction of human kind Allah says: O mankind! Verily We have created your from a single (pair) of a male and a female,m and made you into nations and tribes that you may know each other... (Qur'an, 49:13; cf. 4:1). May Allah protect us all Aamiin

    Bariis

a/c wr wb heey Qaxooti-Mama that's delicius bariis Qarax And Marax hehehehe you olso make us isku dhexkaris or sweet meet kala karis loooool I'm rolling of the floor ok .. time to read my cooking poem/// ---- ~~Are you a cook? Neither am I. When dinner comes I only sigh, Wake up the phone and his book And let somebody be my cook. An Isku karis is a trusty meal, A color frantic tasty wheel. It disappears in your friends And lets the party never end. But cooking is a tempting craft And gazing down the oven's shaft I start to wonder if I can Create a dinner in a pan. The cooking magic I will work! No more I'll be a takeout fork! I'll prove the world what I can be! I'll make a meal for you and me. Into the kitchen with brave strides I walk like wolf, who danger bides. And looking back to high school days I recollect my mother's ways. Spaghetti? Oh, that sounds good! I grab the package where I stood. Potatoes I shall add to that. They'll make it better, so I bet. My mother always said to add The veggies, but they make me mad. To top it off I think I'll put Some oil in (I heard I should) I say a prayer, turn the knob, And a blue flame begins to sob. It's magic, that's why it's so blue. It makes my tasty dinner stew. It starts to boil soon enough, And bubbles make the oil rough. And lo-'n-behold it starts to burn Just when it knows my back is turned. I quickly knew something was wrong When my stew's smell became too strong. But no fear, my dear friends, G-d blessed me with intelligence. All fires are quenched by water thrown, That's one sure thing I've always known. So thinking quick I pour some in And see a frightening thing begin. A fiery face came to my eyes, It must be Satan in disguise! It grabbed the stove in fire's grasp! Behind I heard a frightened gasp. What happened next I won't describe, But threaten death, or give a bribe, Or loose a lion in my den. But never shall I cook again!!!
  15. a/c wr wb Maasha Allaah Silent-Sist, wlc to the poet land .. I oslo loved reading the poems of deadlyVision, Instictive-Poet,& Muslim sis... I alwys enjoyed their poems, I Approved.. and now I wanna share with You an Amotional poem, ~~Living in fear ~~Living In Dark This happened when I was eight years old during the war. It was an ordinary day. I was happy and playing outside by myself I was in the capital city of Somalia which is known as Mogadishu. The sky was bright, clear and deep blue. A few small clouds drifted across the horizon. I saw four men with guns, they were soldiers and massive with heavy, scowling, threatening faces. I saw their faces. I froze. I simply couldn’t move. A dreadful heavy feeling sank through me. My whole body was shaking. A women was wearing a scarf and her body was covered. She was tall, attractive and slim. She had a little baby in her arms close by her side and two shopping bags in her hands. When the woman was passing the soldiers shouted 'stop'. She stopped. They ordered her to come to them. She did as she was told. They stood in a circle around her, a ring of giants, a line of frightening statues. They told her to empty her pockets. She replied "I haven’t got anything apart from these bags which have food in them for my kids who haven’t eaten for the last three days." One of the soldiers said "check her pockets". "Her pockets are empty boss", said the soldier When they couldn’t find any money from her pocket they decided to kill her. She begged them not to because she had got small kids depending on her, who would have no one else to look after them. They ignored what she was saying. They shot her. She screamed. I cried. The baby fell to the ground. Her blood was pouring like a river. She lay in a pool of blood, which was crimson. I was horrified and crying out loud therefore they heard me. They shouted to me to go home, I ran away and looked beck and saw the baby crawling and crying, saying "Mama", "Mama". I also saw the soldiers taking the bags. They trampled over her body like a herd of elephants. Her blood was pouring like the water in the river. I went home, but when I got to the door realised that they could have gone by that time. I went back to that place to find the baby so I could take him to my house. But he wasn’t there. I tried to look around but I couldn’t find him. There I was in a good mood, playing outside and enjoying myself and I suddenly ended up with tears, sadness, a terrible feeling because of what had happened. I didn’t know who to cry for, the mother who left lots of kids who depended on her, the little baby who was crying for his mum and didn’t have anyone else, or the kids who were waiting at home for their mum to give them food. I went home and couldn’t stop crying. The baby was alone. It became hard for me to cope and it took me ages to forget. It has been almost eight years this year but I always wonder one thing and ask myself one question all the time. What happened to that baby? Did he survive? Is he alive? Did he die? Unknown Author:
  16. A/c wr wb Yaa Allaah! Yaa kariim O'Let Somalia be Somalia again. Let it be the dream it use to be. Let it be the pioneer on the plain Let it be the dream of the dreamers dreamed. That any man be crushed by one above. O'somalia was never Somalia to me. TO MY COUNTRY SOMALIA O'let Somalia be a land where liberty, Is crowned with no false patriotic wreath, But oppertunity is real, and life is free, Equality is in the air we breath. I'm poor Somali, fooled and pushed apart, I'm homeless Somali driven from his home, I'm hopeless Somali never cluting the hope I seek- And finding only the same old stuped plan, Of dogs eat dogs,of mighty crush the weak. Sure call me any ugly name u choose, The steel of hope never stain, From those who lives like leeches on the people's lives, We must take back our hope and dream again ~I'm crying` ~Sleepless` O'let somalia Be Somalia Again TO MY COUNTRY SOMALIA
