Saudi Arabia started a rail network that will connect major cities across its vast land, mainly for transporting passengers and cargo, the lines will total 2,500 kilometers when completed, and the lines are all kind zigzags, the job is nearly complete or partly completed, and the project cost is just over $3.4 billion, the zigzag lines makes it more expensive! The Saudis have used German, Dutch, Japanese and Chinese contractors, and awarded each one on a different line that will connect cities. Mogadishu line through Beledweyn and terminates at Bosaso would be completely straight line, no mountains to dig or rocks to break, only thing would be having some bridges when the lines reach shabeele river areas in Balcad and other major locations. So in total if we are going very extreme, total lines of railways kilometers would be 2,200, it is not a zigzag lines, major advantage of this is the whole lines are straight lines, if we add lines that would connect from Mogadishu to the border with Kenya at Dhoobley town, then we can add just over 600 kilometers of railway lines that will connect major cities such as Kismaayo, Baraawe, Merka and others, so in total we can have up to 3,000 kilometers of railway lines, not a single African country achieved this, but Somalia with its peace on the horizon, can achieve much more complex projects.

This book is about the work that needs to be done in order to achieve economic and social development in Somaliland. The largest hotels and resorts in East Africa is owned by Somalis, from Kampala, Dar Es Salaam, to Zanzibar, Arusha, to as far as Lusaka, Nairobi, just shows you how capable Somalis are when they have peace, in a very short time they achieved that, even as little as 2 and 4 years, the largest resort in Tanzania is owned by Somali, built by him, designed by him, financed by him, and he employs more than 10 thousand local people(Tanzania government always thanks him for that).
