  2. Absolutely awful day for Chelsea, everton hard three lousy goals due to our weak defensive attitude(two games essien missed) we've consided so many goals. Rubbish! Liverpools second half was appalling, not a single goal on target, every cross too high or too long. Really genuinely poor from Liverpool, the players heads are down, it's gonna take a lot or a lucky goal to give the players some confidence. WingA; Did you see Fergie at the time the board went up? He was spitting flame. Well deserved villa fans it surely made my day. Bob; On reflection - I don't knw whether this result just highlighted Liverpool's poor season to date, or masked your frailities. Gunners were of course much sharper and positive in the second half. That first half was the worst I have seen for sometime. Alumnia was bad, I thought Gallas, TV and Traore were breached with ease in the first half (absolute stone wall penalty against Gallas), there attack was woeful for the majority of the game and Denilson still seems more at ease passing to opposition players than his own. Albeit for an own goal and an Arshavin piece of brilliance, I feel Arsenal were poor but better in the second half, still not were they should be. Not going to loose any sleep over it - a 3 points at Liverpool is a rare thing in recent times as far as Arsenal team are concerned. Praise the work of Song, Fabregas and Sagna. All were immense for you guys. Arsenal have two very big games against Burnley and Hull in the next 4days. Should be 6 points on paper - however we all know that is not how it is played. They need to keep the acid right on the top two. One arsenal fan told me "So this is how it feels to win without playing well"

Chelsea fc fixtures on january 2010 are; Hull City Vs. Chelsea - 09/01/2010 (Away) Chelsea Vs. Sunderland -16/01/2010(Home) Chelsea Vs. Birmingham C.-27/01/2010 (Home) Burnley Vs. Chelsea -30/01/2010 (Away) Bob am sure we could wrap these games even if our African players are missing.
  5. Here are my last 16 Group A - Uruguay and France Group B - Argentina and Greece, i have a feeling they could be Quarter Finalists, they could come up against France in the last 16 and the tactic they will use will frustrate the French imo and Rehagel is a better coach than Domenech. Group C - England and The USA, but Slovenia could make things interesting Group D - Germany and Ghana/Serbia Group E - Holland and Japan (just) Group F - Italy and Paraguay Group G - Brazil and Ivory Coast Group H - Spain and Switzerland
  6. Ancelotti has done a tremendous job , clearly he is a top class manager. Granted today wasnt our greatest ever performance, not aided by the ref who was dreadful, but that being said playing at home in the next 3 fixtures ( 2 of which are in the league ) I expect us to show the form of champions. I think Nigel De Jong was the best midfielder on the pitch...which say's a lot about his performance considering the likes of Essien and Ballack were playing. Well done Citeh..
  7. Drogba has more physical power but he doesn't have the bag of tricks that Torres has. Both can create goals out of nothing, but for me Torres is more consistent and creative than the Ivorian... truely phenomenal strikers.

  9. Apart from the disallowed goal the Goonz never really threatened Cech at all. I think men against boys is a fair comparison. Chelsea should have had a penalty and Sagna sent off, they missed a few other chances and Almunia the only decent thing he did was made a good save from Lampard. For all the pretty football played by Arsenal this season the team look no better equipped to mount a sustained title challenge. It’s the same lack of fight that has plagued Arsenal for the past three or four years. Chelsea didn’t have to work that hard for their victory, simply contain Arsenals attacks and break when they inevitably broke down. They may have had loads of posession but they created and threatened nothing. Gotta admit chel$ea are different class, Just not good enough, men against boys. Somalia got beaten by Rwanda today. PS: watched the game in eastleigh 4th street (Disney) with my old school boyz.
  10. Wat a hammering! It was also a club record 12th straight home win. I believe that JT also matched Dennis Wise in number of games he's captained for the club. We've been looking good, and Kakuta looked good when he came on too, I hope that he gets a few more minutes on the pitch this season, maybe even give him a sub appearance against Arsenal next week. I think he's ready for it. Bob&Zu; I think you were beaten as much by your poor performance as a well organised and tactically sound Sunderland side. Considering as well they were missing some bigger players in Turner, Jones and Cattermole, I thought Brucey got it spot on yesterday. They've played better this season and come out with nothing (Spurs game, for example). I wouldn't be too disheartened, even if you do lose to Chelsea next week , its a long season. If you get a bit more luck on the injury front then there's no reason why you can't push Chelsea all the way. They are definately the ones to beat at the moment. nuune; Another drop points. When will this dire form stop? WingA; you score 3 we score 4. Good luck.

    Champions League 09/10

Great job overall, Solid performances from most of the lads even though Essiens challenges looked a little rough. I was irritated towards the end that Joe Cole didn't get a few moments on the field, a 4-0 win against Atletico Madrid on any day is a great result - great goal by Lamps to, hope he doesn't have another brief spell of not scoring. All bad for Atletico even though they created chances early, punished and once Kalou headed the second they never looked like coming back. 9/9 points. On our way to the knock-outs now surely. it's been a bad week for the Spainish teams in Europe.
