I have just seen the incident on the youtube video, if anyone tries to witchhunt Shawcross for that, they are bang out of order, it wasnt a mailcious tackle at all, it was a 50/50 tackle, both players went for the ball and very sadly for Aaron Ramsey a horrific accident has occured, i wish Ramsey a speedy recovery and the thoughts of all the football fraternity should be with him after this incident today. I really feel for Shawcross, the tackle had no malice in it whatsoever, it wasn't a Ben Thatcher on Pedro Mendes assualt was it? It was a ball there to be won by both players and very sadly in Ramsey's case something like this has occured, i felt for Shawcross at the end though, the lad must be totally distraught and i hope the hate mob and death threat senders don't force this promising young defenders career into oblivion. Football is a physical sport and there will be contact, had he deliberately gone in two footed on Ramsey with malice, then you could argue its another story, but anyone calling for this lad to be sent to the courts etc is totally out of order. I wish a safe and hopefully very speedy recovery for Ramsey, both for the sake of Arsenal and for Wales (he is possibly the best young talent they have produced since Ryan Giggs).

Peacenow: That's what am talking about.Positive thinking not humiliating RIGHT! I must say the immense pressure from the lads worked. Good stuff, EDIT if this news is legit FINE, thou I haven't seen any website reporting. Otherwise, I could be wrong by my statement knowing the posters aim of constant bashing of his own kind.

The ref and the young boy knew this was coming, I don't agree about Bellamy's comments, They were funny as well, even though he is a ****. Unprofessional It was a brilliant second-half and City deserved the win. We never really looked 100% during the game. Drogba wasn't as imposing as usual and the midfield was unimpressive. I know alot of United fans say Tevez isn't good enough, but he has been extremely good this year. His work-rate must make up for his lack of ability, because such an absence wasn't on show today. Now Chelsea have dropped points again, Arsenal are right back in it, but I think this gives United a huge opportunity to step the challenge up a gear and push for the title. And I think City will get fourth if they can keep things consistent from here on in, with consistency having been their biggest problem all season. Originally posted by Legend of Zu: OZ, as i said, we have delivered the title to your door steps if you don't want to take it - we will take it for you! ^^If worse comes to worse I will deliver it to you. NG & nOrf- this result could have ended your quest for fourth place, Liverpool was truly relying on a Chelsea win or a draw at the worst.

How that wasn't given as a penalty I'll never know. Worried about Cech though, hope his injury isn't serious. Chelsea just have to hope they can score at home, JoseMourinho might bring Inter to defend. Lucio and Samuel were solid. Cambiasso, Zanetti also were immense. It'll be tough but certainly do-able for Chelsea. Good to see Mourinho not celebrating, shows he still has a place for Chelsea in his heart and respects the fans.

^^BBC & Sky commnetators; 'boring' 'worst game of the season' etc about Citeh v scouser. The team sent out on the field was certainly not your best. But it certainly was not lacking the quality whereby simple passes are missed, and not even a hint of creativity could be conjured to at least see a concerted period of pressure for 10 to 15 minutes placed upon Man City. I don't think anyone could say they enjoy watching Lpool play at the moment. They've scored 16 goals in 17 games, after being the Premierships top scorers last season. No creativity and no-one prepared to gamble in the box.I just hope Torres doesn't get fit till the last game of the season. L Lpool V Chelsea second last game of the season.

I think (IntervsChelseamatch)will be a difficult game but I don't think it will be too hard tbh.I know they are not over achievers in the CL - but they will be no push over either. Besides, this only makes more difficult by the two men (Coaches)at the helm of each team. This could be more about the ego's of both managers rather than the footballers actually playing the game. The players are essentially chess pieces in the vicious and no doubt spiteful game that is to be played out between these two big names. Ancelloti has the advantage in this regard. I think Mourinho will be so worked up in his own self importance, that he will forget to keep his troops focused, and Chelsea might slip a few past in the first leg. I do think that the first leg of this tie is absolutely crucial to each team advancing.

nOrf,If you looked at Chelsea on Sunday, our defense was so well protected, we didn't really have a lot of problems to deal with. Mikel, Lampard, Ballack and even Malouda (who got stuck in) covered the space and protected the defense. Whereas, the Arsenal midfield are really reluctant to defend. They all bomb forward at any given point without consideration to a potential counter attack, and when the afforementioned counter attack actually happens, their defense are left terribly exposed that they really don't know what to do, who to pick up and where to go. Case in point, Rooneys goal (Denilson inability to track his run confused our GOONS defenders who to pick up), Park's goal (everyone bombing forward and losing the ball) leaving Clichy exposed. Drogba's goal (everyone bombing forward again), exposing the defense to Chelsea attackers and midfield runners. I think the confusion caused in defense is because the midfield are not doing enough to help out. I also know Clichy isn't playing well at the moment, so why is no one willing to bust a gut to help his mate out. They still, after knowing his form has dipped, leave him exposed to a 2 on 1. To sum this up, Arsenal defense needs a lot more protection from the midfield. If Gunner's footballing philosophy stays the same with all these ball playing midfielders with attacking minds, they will never win the premiership and always fall short (no pun intended). With this philosophy they will find it hard to beat lesser teams, and will also find it harder against United and Chelsea. 4 games against these two sides and 4 defeats is no coincidence. These two teams basically know how to compete against the big sides and generally get results or a share of the spoils.
