For me its a toss up between Chelsea and Man city. I'd say Chelsea just slightly edge it in there attacking options and midfield however Man city are solid overall and arsenal and tottenham may squeeze in too. GK: Liverpool, no disputing that Reina is the best in the league for me followed by Hart. DF: Chelsea get it for me, as they have the best LB in the world, covered by Zhirkov, who isn't too shabby himself. A load of good CB's for me in Terry, Bruma, Ivanovic and Alex. Also, a pair of brilliant RB's in Bosingwa and Ivanovic, I know I've used him twice, but he's equally able in either position. MF: Chelsea and Arsenal edge out for me... Although Arsenal lack slightly on the right wing, they rarely play with wingers. City just have loads of good, but not spectacular, players in the midfield area. ST: I think I'll give this to Chelsea, purely because of their cover. Can you guess who I think will win the league? What are your thoughts?

LOZ, this is the gunners team that you have been waiting for 5 seasons to give a trophy and they couldn't get you anything. This will be the same MAY BE better than last season, but I would say as long as Chewlseay continues with this form you'll wait for long. NG: I've witnessed Norf couple times being a silent fan of the Gooners. Thiery: Chewlsey have a mixture of tired and young legs. the other day I saw gael kakuta, sturridge playing and both impressed me. We also have this young lad named Jeffrey Bruma, more than capable of filling the 4th centre back spot. I'm glad to see that Chewlseey is the only team in the top 6 that could actually play physical and class, they can change there game whichever suits them. As for you guys I doubt you can have that quality. As for your back four, I don't think they've been tested yet, wait for Drogba to punish them. if they stop Drogba on Ovt 3rd,then you can judge them. Drogba is the only striker that has not be stopped yet by any defender in the premier league since last season. This season will not be a 2 horse race btw Arsenal and Cheelseey, I think Man U cannot be ignored. I don't no about Liverpool, I think their target is a 4th spot and that's an achievement.

Norf recently, I've realised that you starting to support Arsenal.

^^ The only Theiry we know is you, so don't mind the impostor. midi kalle LOZ always counts his chicken before they hatch don't be like him. you facing Sunderland on Sunday, Gyan is waiting. Excellent. Arshavin has been on fire considering I still think he is inconsistent.... Chelsea's continues to deliver without their big players, am stunned at Essien's goal scoring moment. Anelka, Benayoun, Remires and Sturridge were all immense. As for Liverpool. The first half was poor but they improved in the second half, the overall performance wasn't reflected in the score but they won. The penalty was a wrong decision but it was put away well, infact all four goals were well taken. Given that it was a team made up of mainly squad players, I think overall it wasn't too bad. NG; Lucas was stunning, The few times I've seen Lucas play more advanced he has looked a far better player and proved last night he can score (great goal it was) maybe it's something for the manager to think about. I like the look of Meireles already, and him along with Cole should give Liverpool that attacking outlet you lacked last season. Babel looks a different player under Hodgson too .. maybe if he is given the chance we'll see a better Babel.

I have to say West Ham match was ace ! Toughest test so far, but all the great goals ! Essiens headers were sublime, Ramires was very good I thought too. Parkers goal was awesome even though we lost the first clean sheet this season. We were lucky with Piquonne missing horribly as well. But overall I'm happy and bring on the Champions League ! Legend, "We lead others follow" Liverpool, For a team that is still a couple of players short of being what the manager wants it wasn’t a bad performance. I think its obvious Gerrard should play as a CM rather than a second striker and the prospect of Gerrard next to Meireles in the midfield with Joe Cole in a free role behind Torres offers great hope for the rest of the season in my opinion. Fair play to Birmingham they’re a decent team and they won’t lose many at home or away this season, they could have easily won this game if it wasn’t for the quality of Reina. A point is an OK result, no complaints…

Originally posted by NGONGE: ^^ Meireles is good. I thought so during the world cup (he was a Rafa buy really). The 'experts' say that he is Alonso and Mach rolled into one. He impressed me during the World Cup. Nice goal against North Korea as well. It'll be hard to live up to the standard of Mascherano though. Now you are quite a multi-cultural squad now: along with a couple of English players, you have ones from Holland, Spain, Brazil, Greece, Serbia, France, Australia, Denmark, Slovakia, Morocco, Hungary and Portugal I hope there isn't too much of a language barrier between players.

^^ Watched Real and they were pedestrian for large periods in that game. Mourinho really does face the biggest challenge of his career if he is to dethrone Barca in La Liga and win the Champions League this season. He has to win both as Capello only won one in 2006/07, the fans moaned about his style of football and he was sacked come seasons end. It is far too early to jump to any conclusions but Barca demonstrated their capabilities in a very professional performance to ease to victory against Racing away, Villa looks like he fits in really well and it was a superb header by him for Barca's 3rd, he will suit their style like a glove to a hand. Mallorca will be delighted with the point though against Real Madrid, good start for Michael Laudrup as coach as because of the financial position of Mallorca and the losses in the summer i see a potentially more difficult year ahead for them. Good wins for Sevilla and Valencia on the opening day and many congrats to Real Sociedad on their return to the Primera Division with a good opening day over Villarreal.
