  1. Dallas trio must not be ignored, the old folks still have loads of tricks. Dirk,Marion and super kid are awesome to watch.
  2. Think Manyoo got the edge this final, thou I would never count out the catalans.
  3. Ancelotti Gone!!!! What an absolute abhorrent decision, Ancelotti comes across as a very nice man, and a very good manager, as for Abramovich, what a complete ****, Ancelotti won the double last season, and came second this season, and he sacked him…..plus It wouldn’t surprise me if Abramovich meddled in first team affairs, and bought a few players that Ancelotti didn’t want.. It’s the downside of having a billionaire owner, they do what they want, they don’t have to answer to anyone, they call the shots good or bad…. I don't know why Abramovich doesn't just appoint himself as manager, it's obviously what he wants to do. The sacking of Wilkins blew a huge hole in the middle of £helsea's season, but even then we almost clawed the title back and were in contention as recently as a fortnight ago. I'm not sure what else Ancelotti could do?
  4. Finals- Le-bron vs Dirk Nowitzki, still can't believe thunder lost that game 4.

    Goodness Me!

Is he still on "daqan Celis" Ps: Nuune & Bob salama
  12. We won't win the title. We'll probaly beat Man Utd away, but we won't beat Everton. No chance.
  13. City were well and truly schooled by pool. :D Flanagan had a good, solid debut on the right. Carra and Skrtel kept things solid in the middle and passed it better than they have been. Spearing played excellent in the middle, as did Kuyt. Carroll produced a top centre-forward performance and if he gets the service - then he'll score and be very difficult to defend against. Suarez is a great outlet. ps:..if they just put simular performances in against the less greater sides, Europe could still happen.
  14. ^^^ LOL... Zu another season without a trophy :D... The liverpool team that played Citeh in the first half was scary. The were quick, acurate and the mobiity and technical side was Awesome to watch. Mancester were far clinical/ Hungry than Chelsea were. Ancelloti made the same mistake twice in both leg. keeping torres was the problem in my opininon.
  15. Lucio and Walter Samuel was a huge miss for Inter, both of them are organizers of a defence and without one of those in your backline you will be all over the place defensively. Cant see Schalke throwing it away now tbh, you never know but i would be surprised, even when they came back against Bayern, Inter were extremely fortuitous, Bayern had 2/3 other chances in the game to kill it off when 2 goals up on aggregate and blew it, maybe Inter's luck has ran out. Schalke look forward to a game against Chelsea. :D Well done to Schalke though, they surprised a few last time they were in the Champions League (07/08) when they got to Quarter Finals and gave Barca a scare, that half of the draw now looks very interesting. Ps: Will win at home, but am not too sure about Old traford.

    Gerrard or Lampard?

^^^ Who would you take as of now :D Gerrard will forever be remembered as a Liverpool legend, and rightly so. In his prime/on his day, he's one of the best midfielders in world football. He may not be the most technically gifted of his generation, but his all-action display, battling qualities, leadership skills and consistency are what makes him the talisman of Liverpool. However, Lampard will not only retire as a Chelsea legend, but also as the bigger Premier League legend in my opinion. The guy attacking instincts from midfield is frightening. He is 8th highest goalscorer in the Premier League history with 132 strikes, more than any other midfielder. He's also the 6th on the all-time appearances, and have 168 assists which is second only to Giggs' 263. I'd love to have both in their prime in the current United team.

    Gerrard or Lampard?

Bob, Selfish?? LOL Did you see the ball he chipped to Anelka to score in the champions league in Denmark. Selfish aaah!! I'm interested to see Gerrard's form over the next year or so as he hasn't had a good season and he's started picking up injuries as well, when he's always had a good fitness record. A lot of Gerrard's problems come back to his pig-headed insistence on playing in a position he's not suited to playing. His last good season was playing off Torres in the season they finished second. He could still come good if he's played further forward. So the verdict is : Over their careers, I'd say they're fairly equal. Maybe Gerrard edging it in natural ability and Lampard in consistency and being a team player. :D PS: Tuujiye, am starting to believe what Norf said about you wearing a red t-shirt. hahaha

    Gerrard or Lampard?

Faheema, If you could take one of the two right now for the remainder of their career, with no reprecussions to your current squad (I know its not possible, this is just to simplify things as well as force you to consider relationships with current players), who would you pick? Keep in mind you get them from today, no "younger versions" available. For me, Lampard over Gerrard any day- Lampard has had an indifferent season, true, but the cracks are beginning to show with Gerrard. Going forward, most managers would see Lampard as having the greater potential in the twilight of the two's careers. LOL@ Shaafici

  22. What a win that is! 5 points ahead of Spurs, we are only 4 points off Arsenal. First half was ok, nothing special except for the blatant Lescott handball, second half we were much better, Essien and Lampard were good, they dominated the midfield and Ramires was very good, to top it of he got that superb goal. Luiz was outstanding. He is building quite a partnership with Terry, too bad he won't be available in the CL this season. Drogba came on and was good, delivered that good cross into the box which Luiz scored. Overall a good performance, 2-0 flattered City they were dire without Tevez in their team.
  23. Last 8 of the Europa League, Man City, Liverpool and Rangers all perished, :D no British involvement in the latter stages of the competition. FC Porto Villarreal Benfica PSV Spartak/Twente Twente/Spartak Braga Dinamo Kiev Looking good that the Portuguese are going to take 6th spot in the UEFA Co-efficents and take back the 3rd Champions League spot that they lost to the Russian league in 2008, with Shakhtar having got through to the Quarter finals it was essential that they got 3 sides through, could have been 4 too had Sporting not messed up against Rangers. Huge congratulations to Braga on their defensive display at Anfield too, biggest result in their history without a doubt, would be a great triumph for the underdog if they could go all the way and win it, they are a difficult side to break down, and that is a very good sign for them. With Porto going all guns for an unbeaten season and Benfica still invloved in both domestic cups in Portugal, Braga are the one Portuguese side left in this who can give their full concentration to the Europa League without any distractions as they have little else to play for in their season. Villarreal look dangerous too, if they can get a big enough lead over the 5th placed team in Spain and sew up Champions League football by the time the semi finals of the competition come along then they could rest their players in the league and keep them fresh for Europe, which will be an advantage. I really enjoy this competition and since it has been in its knockout format it has provided some intriguing games and some upsets, instead of messing around with the group stages and offering a paltry sum for winning it, UEFA should put the 4th placed teams from England, Spain and Germany and the 3rd placed teams from Italy, France etc in this competition rather than the CL, treble its prize money to 21 million for starting from the beginning of the competition and going on to win it and revert it back to straight knockout from the start in order for it to regain some prestige. And whilst they are at it offer the winners of it a Champions League spot.

PS: My point(Topic in hand)is Which team has the best starting 11? and my question still stands, do you think spurs has the best starting 11 than Chel$ki,ManU,Citeh or Arsenal? Are we still debating about this ^^^^ or rumbling and mumbling.. thought we had a done deal on this issue
  25. Not much interest here....are we still in this competition? :D Looking at the Spuds fans, you'd think they'd made it to the final already! Am enjoying watching the Europa League than the Champions league. The Europa League sure does throw up a few surprises, I thought Twente vs Zenit would be close but Twente from the sounds of things outplayed them and got a decisive 3-0 win, not writing Zenit off but it will take a lot to come back from that on their home patch, all Twente need to do in Russia is score and it is game over as i cant see Zenit scoring 5. Villarreal surprised me too with a well earned win against Leverkusen away from home, Nilmar and Rossi look a good partnership. Porto got an excellent win away at CSKA Moscow, it should be enough for them to progress imo as Russian teams dont tend to travel well Braga vs Liverpool is touch and go and it could go either way, though Liverpool will go into the game fearing the away goal, i have a feeling Liverpool could go out on away goals here even though they are favorites. Kiev are favorites to progress against City, i wonder if Mancini in the second leg will put out a lesser side and concentrate on securing Champions League football and prioritising the FA Cup over the Europa League, like the Twente vs Zenit game all Kiev need is an away goal and it is as good as done. Benfica will just get through against PSG, Spartak should get through against Ajax,Rangers vs PSV could go either way, but im just gonna back PSV to progress on away goals. That's just me being me.
